00:04famous and quoted line that I did not do justice to from the buddy cop movie Rush Hour. The 1998

00:12film spawned two sequels, but President Trump wants a fourth installment. Not where you expected

00:17me to go with that, huh? Yeah, President Trump, Hollywood development executive, wants another

00:23Rush Hour. He's reportedly pushing buddy Larry Ellison to revive the series. Ellison's family

00:29is angling to buy Warner Brothers Discovery, which happens to be the license holder for

00:33the film series. So what's the connection between Trump and Rush Hour though? Well, besides the

00:40fact that he reportedly just likes the movies, the film's director, Brett Ratner, recently

00:45spent months following first lady Melania Trump for a $40 million Amazon documentary about

00:51her life. Ratner has had a bit of a cooling off period, shall we say, in Hollywood after

00:57six women accused him of sexual misconduct in 2017, accusations which he has vehemently

01:02denied. So this documentary represents a bit of a comeback for him. Another Trump connection

01:08to Rush Hour? The movie's producer runs a production company that made a glowing documentary about

01:14Trump that premiered at Mar-a-Lago during the 2024 campaign. I mean, Hollywood's all about

01:19who you know.
