00:00you're never supposed to ask a woman their age right now i work in the studio with two women
00:09lorenz in here and our producer digital producer mel is in here and i was just reading you guys
00:15that uh if you can't stand on a leg for 30 seconds you're officially old but your non-dominant leg
00:23says the mayo clinic so and it's a pretty good indicator of how fast you're aging if you struggle
00:28with it you might officially be old okay so instead of asking somebody their age now the thing to do is
00:36ask them to stand on their non-dominant foot right yeah i would if i was going out and not tell them
00:41why if i was going out to the bars i'd be like hey how you doing i'm steve nice to meet you uh
00:46do me a favor can you stand on your non-dominant leg for 30 seconds so i can get an idea of your age
00:51well i don't think that's fair because i definitely could not do it in heels probably maybe if it was
00:57like a block heel but i think i can do it in like well let's try sneakers on hold on i'll count you
01:02down uh they had people try to balance at the mayo clinic on one leg for 30 seconds and if it wasn't
01:07a problem for most young people then they were good to go but for every decade you tack on they found
01:12in the study for every for your ability to do so decreases by around two seconds that's the average
01:17they found the best uh predictor was how long people could do it while standing on their non-dominant
01:23leg so the leg you wouldn't kick a ball with okay if you balance for at least 30 seconds without
01:29much trouble you're not over the hill yet if you can't or you sway a lot you're old we'll do the

02:19your i was gonna try to pull a heel stretch but i don't know if i can do that for 30 seconds showing
02:25off when you are a uh uh miami dolphins cheerleader now you're so you're moving around too much
02:29well i just bent so the camera could see me i think you have to do it like are you watching 30 seconds

02:40it's done but mel can you do it the right way like like flamingo style and you were moving around

03:05moving at all oh in like a ballerina pose yeah i did ballerina pose i do know mel's way younger
03:11than than me probably way younger than loren who's younger than me wow you're you're pretty still
03:16mel you're good you got it yeah that's good i didn't realize we had to stay still of course i was
03:22trying to be fancy to find out if you're over the hill or not stand on your non-dominant leg for 30
03:28seconds without swaying or moving okay do it again you're such a baby all right go okay you so
