00:04At least that was our reaction when we heard the singer was detained at LAX on Thursday.

00:09I mean, he is Canadian, guys. It could happen.

00:11But the truth is he's not, so Beliebers can breathe easy. For now.

00:15Here's what actually happened. Justin was flying in from Japan where he was taken aside by U.S. Customs for questioning.

00:21The Biebs was reportedly interrogated for four hours before they finally let him leave.

00:26So what was the issue?

00:28Apparently it's standard for custom officials to question those that have an open case, or two or three,

00:33and Justin definitely falls under that category.

00:35Justin was recently arrested for a DUI in Miami.

00:38He has a vandalism case for an egg-throwing incident involving his neighbor

00:43and a misdemeanor assault case in Toronto. And he's only 20.

00:47But if you think a little airport drama is gonna get this guy down, huh, think again.
