00:00Military officials rejected rumors of a military-backed junta,

00:04stressing there is no restart button for the government

00:07and reaffirming their commitment to the constitutional chain of command.

00:11They also warned against misinformation circulating online,

00:15coordinating with other agencies to hold accountable

00:18those spreading false claims that could incite unrest.

00:23The armed forces of the Philippines is not monitoring within its ranks.

00:30Who is pushing for a military junta amid ongoing political issues?

00:35This follows Senator Ping Lakson's statement

00:38that some retired soldiers approached him to join the junta,

00:42something he did not agree to.

00:44The AFP again asserted its loyalty to the constitution,

00:48saying it will not take part in calls for a military-backed reset of the government.

00:53Wala pong puwang sa republika ang extra-constitutional shortcuts whatsoever.

00:59Hindi po ito parang isang video game na pwede pong nating i-restart.

01:04So I would go back to that premise

01:08na wala pong restart plot within the armed forces of the Philippines.

01:13When we use a chain of command, loyalty to the chain of command,

01:16it's not just loyalty to the who sits on top,

01:19but basically it's the structure of these commands that are being followed.

01:24The AFP is also prepared to coordinate with other government agencies

01:28such as the Philippine National Police

01:31in filing complaints against those continuously spreading fake news about the military

01:36in order to incite unrest,

01:39including the alleged personal allowance increase of the AFP chief

01:43and the supposed 15 billion peso ghost project in the AFP.

02:09malinaw po, DPWH ang may hawak ng tikas funds.

02:17Meanwhile, the AFP continues its mandate

02:20in safeguarding the West Philippine Sea.

02:23In the latest monitoring of the Philippine Navy,

02:2630 ships of the People's Liberation Army Navy

02:29and China Coast Guard

02:30were seen within the vicinity of Bajo de Masinloc,

02:34Escoda Shoal, Ayungin Shoal, and Pag-Asa Island.

02:38A decrease in the number of vessels is expected

02:40due to the possible effects of the typhoon

02:43reaching the West Philippine Sea.

02:46No untoward incident,

02:47no coercive and aggressive actions were monitored,

02:50but the presence, the illegal presence is still there.
