00:00The proposed budget, the Presidential Communications Office laid out in today's Senate plenary deliberations,

00:06received the panel's endorsement.

00:08This financial wherewithal will be spent to enhance digital platforms,

00:12facility upgrades and rehab, and even broader news dissemination to the public.

00:20which included Center Raffi Tulfo's assurance to help PTV in its financial struggles and challenges.

00:26As budget deliberations continue in the Senate for the 20th Congress,

00:32the allocation for the Presidential Communications Office, or PCO, has been approved for the coming year.

00:38During the plenary debates, senators endorsed the budget amounting to 2,714,679,000 pesos

00:45after addressing a number of queries regarding the use of funds,

00:48including the strengthening of government information campaigns,

00:51the operations of the People's Television and Radio Pilipinas, and support for the agency's attached bodies.

01:27Senators stressed the PCO's mandate to strengthen government communications remains clear,

01:32particularly in matters of transparency, public awareness, and disaster communication.

01:36The agency likewise assured the chamber that the allotted funds will facilitate and improve the delivery of services.

01:55The budget also covers the enhancement of digital platforms, upgrades to facilities,

01:59and the extension of information campaigns intended to better explain government programs to the public.

02:04During the deliberations, the outline proposed 2.714 billion pesos allocation for 2026

02:09will be distributed across the PCO's various offices.

02:12953.9 million pesos for the PCO proper, 95.6 million pesos for the Bureau of Communications Services,

02:2019.6 million pesos for the National Printing Office, 153.6 million pesos for the News and Information Bureau,

02:27501.5 million pesos for the Philippine Information Agency,

02:30484.3 million pesos for the Bureau of Broadcast Services,

02:34247.1 million pesos for the Presidential Broadcast Staff or RTVM,

02:39136.7 million pesos for PTV4,

02:43and 122 million pesos for IBC 13.
