James Mangold is well aware fans want to get a peek at his yet-to-be-titled Indiana Jones film, but he is asking for patience while sharing an update on the production.

00:00We just got an update on Indiana Jones 5, thanks to director James Mangold.
00:04On Monday, the director shared that he has moved on to the editing phase of the next chapter in the iconic Harrison Ford franchise,
00:11but he is asking for fans to be patient.
00:13He posted on Twitter,
00:14Although I've been cutting while shooting, I officially start editing indie today.
00:19To all those asking about trailers and teasers, still drops and first looks and other peaks or sneaks,
00:25this is the right place to look for info, but just a bit too soon.
00:28Be well and be patient.
00:33Mangold, who directed Logan and Ford vs. Ferrari, took over the Indiana Jones franchise from Steven Spielberg,
00:40who helmed with the previous four films, including 2008's Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
00:44Legend says that a crystal skull was stolen from a mythical lost city in the Amazon.
00:50Whoever returns the skull to the city temple will be given control over its power.
00:54Ford returns as Dr. Henry Jones Jr. in the yet-to-be-titled fifth Indiana Jones film,
00:59along with the cast including Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, and Antonio Banderas, just to name a few.
01:05Production on Indiana Jones 5 was hit with several delays due to the pandemic,
01:09and last June, 79-year-old Ford suffered a shoulder injury while rehearsing a fight scene.
01:14The film is slated to arrive in theaters on June 30, 2023.
