01:26Now, a singer-songwriter who blurs the lines between genres.
01:35Role Model.
01:37Dad's on the phone and he's lecturing me.
01:40About a girl that he met back when he was 19.
01:43It's never gonna work cause the puzzle won't be.
01:47Hey!
01:48Head out the window.
01:51Sweat on the pillow.
01:54It's been keeping me up at night.
01:56Cause this is what love feels like, all right.
01:59Seems like a show that it keeps getting colder.
02:05But, babe, I was raised in a cold.
02:09Just wish I could do what I'm told.
02:12Oh, now.
02:13Dad's on the phone and he's lecturing me.
02:16About a girl that he met back when he was 19.
02:19It's never gonna work cause the puzzle won't be.
02:23Hey!
02:24Son of a gun, but I know when he's right.
02:28Cause the girl that I love never treated me nice.
02:31Writing's on the wall, I pretend I can't read.
02:36Oh, you're forgetting me.
02:42Losing my patience.
02:45Confusing the waitress.
02:48And asking way too much.
02:51Why am I still in love?
02:54Somebody who leaves me.
02:56Hey!
02:57Way too easy.
02:59She said, honey, you'll be all right.
03:03She gets paid to be nice.
03:06Oh, hell.
03:07Dad's on the phone and he's lecturing me.
03:10About a girl that he met back when he was 19.
03:13It's never gonna work cause the puzzle won't be.
03:16He's a son of a gun, but I know that he's right.
03:22Cause the girl that I love never treated me nice.
03:25Writing's on the wall, I pretend I can't read.
03:29Ooh, you're forgetting me.
03:31Oh, you're forgetting me
03:42Oh, you're forgetting me
03:53Dad's on the phone and he's lecturing me
03:56But a girl that he met back when he was 19
03:59It's never gonna work cause the puzzle won't piece
04:03Hey, nah, nah, nah
04:05Son of a gun, but I know that he's right
04:07Girl that I love never treated me nice
04:11Writers on the wall, I pretend you can't read
04:15Oh, you're forgetting me
04:18Woo!
04:22Woo!
04:26Oh, hello, Austin, you beautiful people
04:29I'm very grateful to be on the stage
04:36This is a very legendary stage
04:38And I am lucky to be here
04:41In a beautiful city
04:43We was bragging about investments
04:51She was talking about a Zen pic
04:53And the dinner had a guest list
04:55Guess it's hell on earth
04:57He told us she seemed unstable
04:59She got up and left the table
05:01Guess it's hard to find an angel
05:03When it's hell on earth
05:05Hell on earth
05:07Yeah!
05:13Sometimes it gets so hard to listen
05:16They sent foot back to the kitchen
05:18Said they wanted something different
05:20Could you get it much worse?
05:22Can't get dinner as a favor
05:24But it's feeling more like labor
05:26So I told them, see you later
05:28Gave them hell on earth
05:30Well, I tried my best tonight
05:35Don't know what for
05:38I'll click my ears three times
05:43We're not in Kansas anymore
05:45Come on!
05:46Take me home
05:51Take me home
05:57Well, it's the way they never struggle
06:10Bills have always gotten paid
06:12Pockets never been in trouble
06:14Unapplauded and unashamed
06:16I'm the child and my mother
06:18New England, born and raised
06:21Where the common sense is coming
06:22As a nose job in LA
06:24Well, I tried my best tonight
06:29Don't know what for
06:32I passed the welcome sign
06:37As I'm walking out the door
06:40Take me home
06:43Hey!
06:48Take me home
06:51I know it's time to go
07:01When there's cocaine on the nose
07:03And they start asking who you know
07:05At the table, grab my coat
07:07Skip the goodbyes in the road
07:09I swear they wouldn't even notice
07:12If I never even show
07:13So, take me home
07:16Take me home
07:18Take me home
07:20Take me home
07:22Take me home
07:24Take me home
07:26Take me home
07:28Take me home
07:30Take me home
07:32Take me home
07:34Take me home
07:36Take me home
07:38Take me home
07:40Take me home
07:42Take me home. Take me home. Take me home. Take me home.
08:00I have a song of mine that I literally cannot remember the words there's too many.
08:06And so I simply don't perform it.
08:08But it's one of my favorite songs ever.
08:15And so I have to write down, you know, I'd rather read it from a book.
08:19I feel like that's more aesthetically cool than me, like, on my phone or something.
08:24I don't know. This feels cooler than a teleprompter.
08:31So I wrote it. Or maybe I'll just tell you guys a little story or something.
08:34I'll read you a little bedtime story.
08:39This one is called Something, Somehow, Someday.
09:40No!

10:13She's a night in Rome
10:16He's a piece of work, dirty shirt, needs evaluation
10:21She's a pinkie's up, pixie cut with plenty of motivation
10:25He's a whiskey drinker, barely thinking, got no destination
10:29She's a plane ride home
10:32And I believe they're meant to be
10:40Something, somehow, someday
10:46Yes, I believe they're meant to be

11:50Something, somehow, someday
11:52Yes, it's clear to me
11:54They're meant to be
11:56Something, somehow, someday
12:12They're meant to be
12:16Something, somehow, someday

21:24Well, I'm in Sally at a late night dot bar
21:29She don't dance, but she downs her drinks
21:33I threw a friend, she's a born-again wild card
21:37She was telling me wild things
21:41She was telling me wild things
21:45Just down the street past the 7-Eleven
21:49Just close enough that I spent the night
21:53She grabbed my hand at the intersection
21:57I spilled my guts at the red light
22:01Silent
22:03That feeling's coming around
22:07Please don't go falling in love
22:11And disappear when the wine comes out
22:15Yeah!
22:17Sally
22:19I'll buy a couple of rounds
22:23Don't let me think I'm not
22:27And disappear when the wine comes out
22:31Oh!
22:35Sally!
22:37Well, I open up while she's flipping through pages
22:45Getting lonely as the days get dark
22:49If you're bored and your mind starts changing
22:53Maybe just give me a little stop
22:57I
22:59See the glass in your eyes
23:01Just trying to keep it alive
23:05Crying out loud
23:07Oh!
23:08Sally
23:09That feeling's coming around
23:13Please don't go falling in love
23:17And disappear when the wine comes out
23:23Woo!
23:24Sally!
23:25I'll buy a couple of rounds

23:37I'm falling head first
23:38Angles hit the two-step
23:39Sally makes my head hurt
23:40Right through the grapevine
23:41She can be a diva
23:43Going like Minnesota
23:45Hotter than a diva
23:46Hotter than a diva
23:47I'll say
23:55Here we go again
23:56I'm falling head first
23:57Angles hit the two-step
23:58Sally makes my head hurt
23:59Right through the grapevine
24:00She can be a diva
24:01Going like Minnesota
24:02Hotter than a diva
24:03I'll say
24:04Here we go again
24:05I'm falling head first
24:06Sally makes my head hurt
24:07Right through the grapevine
24:08She can be a diva
25:09I find it fascinating because it's such a positive, optimistic spin on what I feel like most of humanity wouldn't necessarily put a positive spin on.
25:33It would be more, let's just wallow in the feelings.
25:36I feel like I'm always on the edge of just slipping down that rabbit hole of just like, one negative thought could just send me into this like spiral.
25:49I feel like it's I'm like I ride this fence and I put in so much effort every day to like not do
25:58that and to have a positive outlook um because it's easy for me to just spin like that out of
26:07control and just think everything is going wrong or whatever um and so I do I do like put in effort
26:17and like I do journal and when I journal I'm like I hit the positive things usually to I just I don't
26:27I think wallowing in something or like looking back in anger in any way is just would it just
26:34shoots me down a spiral that I don't need to go down any understand I get that yeah sure next a

50:25I actually think I'm pretty optimistic
50:50I mean I think I'm cynical in some ways
50:53but you know on a day-to-day basis
50:57I feel like I'm the more optimistic person in the group
51:05like maybe even a stupid way
51:08but yeah I don't know
51:11I think it's hard not to be cynical in the world view goes and living in America
51:21and yeah the way that society has progressed over the years and the world that I've grown up in is
51:32it's easy I mean it's hard to be optimistic about you know where the world is headed I guess
51:40I think the guitar entered my life when I was like seven
51:45and it's been something I've been doing well the lessons started when I think I was seven or eight
51:56and I took them with my best friend growing up we took them together so I always had somebody to play with
52:04and we were on this kind of journey together and we had a drum set too so one of us would play drums and the other would play guitar and we'd switch back and forth and so we learned you know how to make music together at a super young age and we're really lucky for that
52:24and we'll see you next time
52:54and we'll see you next time
