Make that 9 in a row for Patriots! We are #live at Gillette Stadium for Patriots Monday! A win is a win, but at what cost? Concern for the OL?
Transcript
00:00Was yesterday revenge for all the days that we did the moral victory Mondays?
00:04Because today feels like the opposite.
00:06It feels like an immoral win that feels like a loss.
00:10I mean, you know, maybe a little bit costly when it comes to the injuries,
00:14and we will get into that all morning long,
00:18including with the head coach of the football team, Mike Rabel,
00:22who will be with us in about an hour.
00:24But, you know, you keep checking boxes off when it comes to this football,
00:30team, and that was one yesterday where I feel like Drake May was off in that first half.
00:36Especially early, yeah.
00:37And you overcome that.
00:40You're on the road.
00:41You get the injuries, and they just, this team finds ways to win football games,
00:48and I don't, I was confident for that entire game.
00:52Like, and you need some help.
00:54Like, I was, it surprised me yesterday that Zach Taylor punted that ball away,
00:59only down seven at the end of the game.
01:01So, you need some help from dumb coaches along the way.
01:05But it was just, it's just another win, and this team is rolling on here.
01:11Well, Curtis says last year we had victory Monday, moral victory Mondays.
01:17Yeah.
01:17This is what you would call an ugly win Monday.
01:21You know, where there are going to be wins that you look at,
01:23and you go, wow, that was an ugly win.
01:24But that's what good football teams can do.
01:26Good football teams can win those ugly games where you go, oh, man.
01:31It like, you were trying to give it away, give it away, but fortunately,
01:36you were able to win one of those ugly games.
01:38The worst part about this win is that everybody's going to treat it like a loss,
01:42not just locally, but nationally, because they're going to say, okay,
01:45they were without Joe Burrow.
01:46Okay, they were without Jamar Chase.
01:48Okay, Joe Flacco got injured during this one.
01:50Yeah.
01:50They lost this guy.
01:51They lost that guy.
01:52Nobody's going to talk about our injuries besides locally here.
01:54We will.
01:55And that's what bothers me about the national media when it comes to this Patriots team,
01:59because for such a young quarterback like Drake May to have a tough start,
02:03the interception, and be able to rebound off of that and come back stronger,
02:08like that should be the motivation moving forward.
02:10They've got things to work on, but they still get the win.
02:13Why don't you pass that, though, right now?
02:14Yeah, I don't care.
02:15I like when, I don't care what the national people say.
02:18Yeah, I like when they don't give the Patriots any chance of going anywhere.
02:22I'm not saying it bothers me.
02:23I just think that's the narrative this morning.
02:25But that's what it's going to be.
02:26Until they get to the postseason and win in the playoffs,
02:29it's like we're at this point in time, no matter what they do,
02:34it's always going to be schedule, who they're playing, that kind of thing.
02:38So, I mean, you can only play the teams that are on your schedule,
02:41but you can't say, okay, next week we're going to play Philadelphia
02:43in the following week we're going to play the Rams.
02:45Yeah, and I think, maybe you guys can help me with this.
02:48Do you remember the romantic comedy where it was like Jason Bateman
02:51and Ryan Reynolds flipped characters?
02:54Oh, yeah.
02:54They had to go pee in a fountain.
02:56Oh, yes.
02:57That's what it felt like.
02:58It felt like.
