00:00I am currently embroiled in what may be the most preposterous lawsuit of all time.
00:04Jimmy Kimmel is reacting to being sued by George Santos. The ABC late night host devoted a portion
00:10of his Tuesday night monologue on Jimmy Kimmel Live to talking about being sued for alleged
00:14fraud by the former congressman. Did anyone else get sued by George Santos this weekend?
00:19Kimmel said Santos brought the legal action against the late night TV host, his company,
00:24and the Walt Disney Company because we did a nice thing, because we supported him by ordering
00:28his cameo videos. Since Santos was expelled from the U.S. House of Representatives, he's filmed
00:33cameo videos for people that have appeared on social media. In December, Kimmel joined in and
00:38anonymously made his own request to Santos' cameo account, asking for personalized videos of him
00:44reading what were actually fake stories, and later airing it as part of a new segment, Will Santos Say It?
00:50He says we deceived him under the guise of fandom soliciting personalized videos only to then
00:57broadcast these on national television. And if there's one thing George Santos will not stand
01:02for, it's using a fake name under false pretenses. Santos is requesting $750,000 plus damages.
01:09Kimmel dismissed Santos claiming he had been duped by the messages sent to him by the late night show.
01:14This is like getting sued for paternity by Nick Cannon. It's...
01:18The ex-congressman separately faces numerous criminal charges, including allegations he defrauded
01:24campaign donors, used campaign contributions to pay for personal expenses, and lied to Congress
01:29about his wealth. For more on this story, head to THR.com. And for the latest entertainment news and
