00:00Dave loves wearing Speedos, I love wearing board shorts, you know, both of us with our shirts off, you know, buddy cop film, he'll be grumpy and I'll be charming, boom, it sells itself, you know.
00:10It's the dynamic duo you didn't know you needed. Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista are developing a buddy cop movie.
00:16When Momoa was a guest on Monday's The Late Late Show on CBS, host James Corden asked the Aquaman star about Bautista's recent tweet that read,
00:23Just going to throw this out into the atmosphere and see what happens. Here we go. Me and Momoa in a lethal weapon type buddy cop movie directed by David Leach. Okay, there it is. Now we wait.
00:33Momoa revealed that it all started with a text message.
00:36I'm on Twitter, but he literally texted me about four days ago going, we need to do a buddy cop film.
00:42The two actors are both in the Apple TV Plus series C and the forthcoming Warner Brothers movie Dune Together. Momoa said this was his reaction to Bautista's pitch.
00:50And so I said, absolutely. And he's like, let's do it in Hawaii. I'm like, let's do it. I'm like, I got an idea. And so it's off to the races now. We're doing it.
00:58Corden marveled at how simple the exchange was to pitch a movie.
01:01It sells itself, bro. It's a good job. I'm like, it sells itself.
01:06The actor went on to say, I have the hair. He doesn't have hair. We cover all the demographics.
