00:00The secret, you know, it's, yeah, I understand it.
00:07It's funny, because, because...
00:09Here we go.
00:16Hi guys, it's so nice to meet you.
00:17Hey Riley.
00:18Nice to meet you.
00:18Nice to meet you.
00:19I really, really enjoy this show.
00:21I can't wait to chat with you guys about it.
00:22And I want to start out with a question for all three of you.
00:25And Ashley, if we can just start with you and go down the line.
00:27Sure.
00:27After experiencing everything your guys' characters go through in season two, what advice would you give to them, your, like,
00:34younger selves at the start of the season?
00:36I would probably say focus on yourself.
00:40You can't force people to love you, but you can control the love that you have for yourself.
00:48And so I would say respect yourself, respect others, and conduct yourself appropriately and everything will work out.
00:54I would say be easy to yourself and be kind to yourself, because I think Jackie specifically is really hard
01:02on herself.
01:03And I think it's just always important to, you know, be kind to yourself.
01:08I would say that it's important to remember that mistakes don't have to define you, but I think reflecting on
01:18them and using them to grow is an important process of life and to always keep that in mind.
01:25I'm tired of being a failure, so I've been looking into college applications.
01:30What?
01:36This whole season, there were so many secrets all the time.
01:40I was like, guys, just communicate.
01:41So I want to know how you guys as actors feel about your characters' decisions to keep so many secrets.
01:48I kind of understand it.
01:50I mean, it's already messy enough.
01:53I think being out in the open about it would be even worse to some degree.
02:00My advice would be, if you're going to keep the secret, maybe pull it off a little bit better.
02:05You know, maybe lock the door or something.
02:09Yeah, that'd probably be my two cents.
02:12Yeah, I mean, I think I agree.
02:14It's like, it's a really tough situation, you know?
02:18So I think the secret, you know, it's, yeah.
02:22Can we keep it just between us?
02:25Just us.
02:26What if we didn't tell anyone?
02:29Just us.
02:30I understand it.
02:32It's funny because it is a TV show, right?
02:38And so the fact that so many people are or will be privy to the, like, hey, let's just keep
02:45this a secret thing.
02:46Like, it feels a little embarrassing to see that come up so many times.
02:50But in reality, I find myself doing that so often just because, you know, different insecurities, different concerns about the
02:59spread of information and, like, the spread of personal information.
03:03It's like, hey, like, can we keep this between us?
03:05Or, like, I'm a big fan of, like, a triangle of trust, a cone of silence.
03:10Hey, trust tree, right?
03:12We can speak in confidence.
03:14Just because it's, like, I like to be transparent and deep and, like, building those paths of trust are pretty
03:22difficult in everyday life.
03:23So I don't think keeping it a secret is all that crazy.
03:26I think the fact that everybody gets to watch you do it is weird.
03:29It's like, hey, like, can we keep this a secret?
03:30And then everyone's like, oh, that's shady.
03:33But, like, in reality, it should have been, like, a one-on-one thing.
03:36Like, both us and both them.
03:39You have him?
03:42I would love to jump to the end of the show because, I mean, the cliffhanger we're left on before
03:48season three is absolutely wild.
03:50So, Ashby, I wanted to start with you.
03:52If Alex sees that confrontation, what was going through his head when that happened, since we didn't get to really
03:57hear him react to it?
03:59Oh, man.
04:00I mean, through his head, probably, like, oh, geez, you know?
04:05Like, he probably looked at them and thought, oh, geez.
04:09I think, I mean, I truly, you guys don't know what to expect from the reaction to that.
04:19And yet, it almost seems obvious.
04:22Like, how could you listen to something like that and not feel completely dumbfounded?
04:29But the way he handles it, you will see not soon enough.
04:34Well, yeah, I can't wait to see what happens to that.
04:37And Nikki and Noah, I mean, what do you think was your guys' kind of breaking point that led to
04:41them finally, like, verbalizing their feelings for each other?
04:47I think, I really think it was just, like, an in-the-moment type thing.
04:53I don't think it was something Jackie had planned to do, you know?
04:56So, yeah, I really think it was just emotions in the moment.
05:02Yeah, I feel like so much of the Jackie and Cole interactions in Season 2 are kind of painted with
05:12this frustration because I think Cole tries to build this level of momentum with her that she has this extraordinary
05:22discipline in shutting down.
05:24And so, when you finally get to that final scene in Episode 10, I think her pressing him as to
05:32what's wrong is like, okay, now you want to talk and just kind of things come out how they'll come
05:38out.
05:38And, you know, as you mentioned, another cliffhanger that leaves another Cole and Jackie interaction as confusing, as frustrating as
05:48any of them.
05:48Yeah, for sure.
05:49And I can't wait to see what happens in Season 3.
06:03I can't wait to see what happens in Season 3.
