The 'Finch' star said, "I'll miss him every day," while sharing anecdotes of his time working with the late Scolari on the ABC sitcom 'Bosom Buddies' during an appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'
00:00Peter Hanks, God bless him, I'll miss him every day.
00:03Tom Hanks is opening up about his longtime friendship with his Bosom Buddies co-star, the late Peter Scolari, who died on October 22nd from cancer.
00:11I don't know how many people truly do change their lives when you cross paths with them.
00:15While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday night to promote his new movie, Finch,
00:20Hanks shared several anecdotes from his time working on the ABC sitcom with Scolari in the early 1980s.
00:26He said this about when the pair first met.
00:28We picked up the scripts and we started screwing around and I actually thought, oh, this is it.
00:33This is how this works. This is like a hand inside a glove.
00:37Hanks went on to describe how the two friends became very close during filming.
00:40You know, we were molecularly connected in a way that we started speaking the same language.
00:47The actor also shared a clip from one of his favorite episodes of Bosom Buddies that he said showed the ease the pair had with each other.
00:54Kip, kipper, kip kabob!
00:56Get a hold of yourself!
00:58Towards the end of the sit-down, Hanks got choked up while thanking Kimmel for allowing him to remember his friend.
01:04Peter has a lovely family. His wife Tracy's got absolutely great kids and we lost them to the emperor of all malady.
01:11So, thanks for letting us show that.
01:13Oh, thanks everybody.
