00:07Ridley Scott's upcoming The Last Duel just dropped its first trailer, and it's looking epic.

00:11Matt Damon and Adam Driver's starring historical pic teased a preview of what's to come,

00:16which looks as intense as it is grand.

00:18The story follows a 14th century knight, played by Damon,

00:21who fights to the death with his squire, portrayed by Driver,

00:24after the knight's wife, Killing Eve's Jodie Comer, accuses the latter of rape.

00:28The size and scope of the picture seems to be on par with Scott's Oscar-winning masterpiece, Gladiator.

00:33The 20th Century Studios film is based on the book The Last Duel,

00:36a true story of trial by combat in medieval France.

00:40The screenplay is written by Damon, Ben Affleck, and Nicole Holofcener,

00:44with Affleck also making an appearance in the film.
