U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio says the ongoing talks in Geneva with Ukrainian officials mark the “best day so far” in efforts to advance the U.S. draft plan to end the war in Ukraine.

Rubio highlighted that progress has been made on key points and teams are working on adjustments to narrow differences, aiming for an agreement both Washington and Kyiv can support.

Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian delegation, confirmed the positive momentum, emphasizing Ukraine’s commitment to achieving a just and lasting peace.

Talks continue as officials work toward final proposals to be reviewed by both presidents, while engaging European partners in the process.

00:00We have a very good work product that was already built on a foundation of
00:16input from all the relative parties involved here and we were able to go
00:20through some of those items now point by point and I think we've made good
00:23progress our teams are have now gone to their rooms as we're working on some of
00:27the suggestions that were proffered to us so we're working through making some
00:33changes some adjustments in the hopes of furthering narrowing the differences and
00:36getting closer to something that both both Ukraine and obviously the United
00:40States are very comfortable with obviously this will ultimately have to
00:43be signed off by our presidents although I feel very comfortable about that
00:46happening given the progress we've made and then obviously there's the Russian
00:50side of the equation but again we think we have some pretty substantial insights
00:54over the last nine months into some of the things that are really important to
00:57them so I think the takeaway from it is I think this is a very very meaningful I
