00:00Have you got what it takes to make it all the way to our final question and join the 1% Club?
00:16Anyone has a chance to win because this quiz isn't about how much you know, it's how your brain really works.
00:20As all our questions are about logic and common sense.
00:23So who will make it to the end and answer a question only 1% of the country can get right and win up to £100,000?
00:30Let's play the 1% Club.
00:37And hoping to win tonight's our 100 players.
00:41Right, give me a chance if you're convinced that you are walking away tonight with a win.
00:46Lady in front there, what's your name?
00:48Liberty.
00:49Hello Liberty, how are you?
00:50I'm good, how are you?
00:51I'm alright thanks, you feeling pretty confident then?
00:53Well, yeah, because a couple of months ago I had a spiritual reading with like a clairvoyant and she's also a psychic.
01:00She told me that one of my dead family members is going to send me money.
01:04Through us, the 1% Club.
01:06Well hopefully.
01:06You don't mean like they're going to send it from heaven in a brown envelope.
01:09I don't know, maybe they'll have bank transfer up there, I'm not really sure.
01:13And what do you do?
01:14I'm a student midwife, so I'm trained to be a midwife and it's quite funny actually when I have friends over because I just have a load of posters with vaginas on my wall.
01:25Why do you have them on the wall?
01:26Educational purposes, obviously.
01:29Good luck getting vagina on a Saturday night.
01:30I mean on telly, I don't mean, you know, anyway, I'm amusing myself.
01:37Alright, well listen, good luck to everybody.
01:39Now don't forget you can play along at home if you want, all you have to do is download the app.
01:43Okay, before we ask our first question, here's a reminder of how the show works.
01:47We asked a cross-section of people from all over Britain a list of our unique questions.
01:52Based on their answers, we can tell statistically what percentage of the country should get each one right.
01:58Tonight I'll be asking those exact questions.
02:00To our 100 contestants, beginning with the easier one that 90% of Britain got right, and ending with the most challenging question that only 1% of the great British public answered correctly.
02:11At the start of the show, every contestant is given a £1,000 stake.
02:15If they get any question wrong, they are out of the game and the £1,000 is transferred to the 1% prize pot.
02:22Whoever gets the furthest in the quiz wins £10,000 and the chance to answer the final 1% question to win everything in the prize pot.
02:29And take home up to £100,000.
02:35Right, let's get on with it. It's time for our first question.
02:39So, this is one that 90% of our survey got right. Let's see how you do.
02:43OK, your time starts now.
02:56First question of the night. For some of you, last question of the night.
03:11OK, your time is up. First question of the night. For some of you, last question of the night.
03:26Let's see who's like to stay on and are still in the game and how many people are out.
03:29Oh, dear. We've lost one person. Let's have a look at the answer.
03:47It's a cap. He should have two caps.
03:50Unfortunately, we have lost one person.
03:52Lucy Atwell. Where are you, Lucy Atwell?
03:54Oh, Lucy. It's not nice, is it, when you're the only one?
03:58Oh, no. I crumbled.
03:59Oh, dear. What did you put?
04:00T-shirt. I don't know. I literally went mind blank.
04:04Well, to be fair, those T-shirts and those jumpers...
04:07They're a bit similar, right?
04:08They're a bit similar, apart from the length of the sleeves.
04:12But, yeah, no, I know what you mean.
04:13I'm trying to help you, Lucy, and I'm struggling.
04:15Yeah.
04:16Unlucky, Lucy. It's not easy being the only one to go out.
04:19But well done. Let's hear it for Lucy. Come on.
04:21Somebody got it right. It's Nathaniel Elder.
04:25That's me.
04:26That's a great name. Are you from Mordor?
04:28Oh, I wish.
04:29I am Nathaniel Elder.
04:31What do you do, Nathaniel?
04:32I'm a student.
04:33You look like a student. What are you studying?
04:35Computer science and philosophy.
04:36Oh, very good. How old are you?
04:3920.
04:39They do get harder, these questions.
04:42What do you do in your spare time, Nathaniel Elder?
04:44I like to collect things, is my main thing.
04:46My current big collection is my eyelashes.
04:48What?
04:49If you want to...
04:50You've got them with you.
04:51There you go.
04:53Oh, that is absolutely disgusting.
04:57Hey.
04:58Are they...
04:58Are you sure they are eyelashes?
05:00Yeah.
05:01Just a lot of them.
05:02How many years of eyelashes is that?
05:04Two and a half.
05:04I know your eyelashes fall out, but not to that extent.
05:07When you have long ones, they do.
05:09Where do you find them?
05:10On my face.
05:11But how do you know they're yours?
05:12A father always knows.
05:14A father always knows?
05:16Your father tells you?
05:18No, I'm their father.
05:20Oh, you're the father?
05:21A father always knows.
05:22What are you talking about?
05:23I'm saying...
05:24I'm saying the eyelashes are my kids.
05:27Oh, don't worry.
05:27Oh, I see.
05:28So you're saying that the eyelashes are your children now?
05:31Yeah.
05:31So not only do you keep them in a little plastic box, you refer to them as your children.
05:34Just remind me again.
05:35What are you doing?
05:36Computer science and what?
05:37Philosophy.
05:37Well, why don't you change it to psychology?
05:40Wow, that's quite weird.
05:42Listen, well done, Nathaniel.
05:43Good luck.
05:44You're still with us.
05:45So there are 99 people still left in the game, and the £1,000 of everyone who got the question
05:49wrong now goes into the prize pot.
05:51Let's see what that's done to the total.
05:54Thank you, Lucy.
05:57Right, it's time for the 80% question.
06:00So this is a question that 80% of the people we asked managed to get right.
06:04Let's see how you get on with this one.
06:05The answers to each of these clues all use the same three letters, but in different orders.
06:12What are those three letters?
06:14And your time starts now.
06:17You're all winners in my eyes.
06:20Unfortunately, I need new glasses.
06:21OK, your time is up.
06:40Let's see you've got it right.
06:41Right, we lost 13 on that one.
07:03Let's have a look at the answer.
07:03It's rat, tar, and R.
07:08So A, R, and T in any order.
07:10Someone who got that wrong is Darylene Cousins.
07:13Where are you, Darylene?
07:13Oh, my God.
07:15Darylene, what did you put?
07:17I started with the T, and then I went to A, and then I ran out of time.
07:21Oh, so you just got it right at the end.
07:23Oh, doing it backwards.
07:24Never mind, Darylene.
07:25Why did you apply for the show?
07:26I get to the 1% question every single time.
07:30Right.
07:30Darylene, I'm not sure I believe you.
07:33I'm going to be honest.
07:34I don't think you do every time.
07:35A lot of the time.
07:37I must judge the 30 seconds.
07:39Are you the one that I looked up and you were going...
07:41I suppose I should crack on with this.
07:45T, A, oh, it's run out of time.
07:48Never mind.
07:49But why did you apply then?
07:50OK, Lee, the truth is...
07:53Oh, my God.
07:54It really cracks me up whenever you say sure and there.
07:58Sure and there?
08:00Exactly.
08:00You say the and sure.
08:02Sure is a singer.
08:04Yeah.
08:04And the is quite gangster.
08:06The?
08:07Yeah.
08:07Like, you all sat over there?
08:09Yeah.
08:10How do you say it?
08:11There.
08:11Where are you from?
08:14Hertfordshire.
08:15But you've got a bit of an accent.
08:16Am I getting South African?
08:18South African, yeah.
08:19I thought you were South African.
08:20You have the audacity to tell me how to speak properly.
08:23I get it all the time.
08:25You're saying, like, you've got a record and you've recorded it forwards and you're playing it backwards.
08:30Yeah, I get it all the time whenever I say garage.
08:32Garage?
08:33Yeah.
08:34Ah, the one over there.
08:37Right there.
08:37Right there.
08:39In my garage over there is sure.
08:41Never mind Darylene.
08:44Let's see what that's done to the prize pot.
08:48£40,000.
08:52We are on to the 70% question.
08:54Answer this question and your time starts now.
09:02OK, your time is up.
09:28Let's see who got it right.
09:29Wow, that was carnage.
09:54We have lost 24 people.
09:57Let's have a look at the answer.
09:59It is A, more entirely in lowercase because there are five words in lowercase and four in capital letters.
10:06Somebody who got that wrong is, are they taking the mickey?
10:09Aled Jones.
10:10Me.
10:11All right, Aled.
10:11You all right?
10:12How's it going?
10:13Is that your real name or you've just done it first?
10:14That's my real name, yeah, I know.
10:16Do you get a lot of teasing?
10:18Well, every time I speak to someone new.
10:19Well, on the phone, like insurance companies and stuff.
10:21They don't believe you?
10:22No.
10:22Do you spend your life hearing that song?
10:24Basically, yeah, all the time.
10:25Yeah.
10:26They always ask me to sing a song.
10:27And do you sing it?
10:28No.
10:28Why?
10:29I say I'm advised not to.
10:31You're advised not to by who?
10:32Aled Jones.
10:33My wife.
10:34Oh, I see.
10:35What do you do, Aled?
10:35I'm a plumber.
10:36Are you a good plumber?
10:37Yeah, pretty good.
10:38Yeah, I mean, I won the Wales Plumber of the Year in 2020.
10:42Where'd you keep him?
10:44You won Wales Plumber of the Year?
10:46Yes.
10:47That's pretty good.
10:48It's like a competition, basically, yeah.
10:50How do you become Wales Plumber of the Year?
10:52It was through college and stuff.
10:54Genuine true story.
10:55I used to be a plumber before I was a comedian.
10:56Did you?
10:57Yeah, I was the world champion.
10:59Are you lying?
11:00I am lying.
11:02That's the other show I do.
11:03OK.
11:05Unlucky, Aled.
11:06Right, let's see what that's done to the prize pot.
11:10£38,000.
11:13So, we've just lost 24 players and we now have 62 people left in the game.
11:18Time for the 60% question.
11:22Let's take a look.
11:24A mystery word is changed as it passes each stage.
11:28Which of the options replaces the question mark to be the mystery word?
11:32And your time starts now.
11:34You are wrong, I mean, who doesn't?
11:34Where do you know?
11:35Again, it doesn't worry about your time.
11:36Hold on to your time.
11:36I need to try it.
11:37I want to go.
11:37They'll be right back to you.
11:40Then you could issues with me.
11:41Here's a little bit.
11:41I want to eat.
11:42Well I don't be right with you.
11:43dre色el.
11:43I like it.
11:45The time for the披ower and the Giving.
11:45Oh.
11:46I want to pressure away.
11:46I don't require a Kathy at you, but we'll don't need to go.
11:48To buy a meeting or whatever.
11:49Email.
11:50OK, your time is up. Let's see you've got it right.
12:20Right, we lost eight people. Let's have a look at the answer. It's C, far. Far becomes fair and then dare.
12:37Somebody who got it wrong is Paul Haynes. Where are you, Paul?
12:41Really? Where did you put Paul?
12:43I made the fatal mistake of pressing the graphic, not the...
12:47Oh, no.
12:49But I got it wrong anyway, so...
12:52What would you have done with the money today?
12:53Probably buy a better mankini.
12:56A better mankini?
12:57Yeah. I can't wear it at the moment. My wife's hidden it.
13:00OK. But you have worn it in public?
13:02Yeah. Well, this is the problem, you see, why my wife has hidden it.
13:06Where have you worn it?
13:07We had a birthday gathering in our local working men's club.
13:10Oh, not on the beach? No, not on the beach.
13:12Oh, in a working men's club?
13:14My birthday's in December, so it's a bit awkward on the beach.
13:16That's true.
13:17I couldn't sort of fill the costume.
13:19That's fair enough.
13:20So...
13:22I like a man worse.
13:23His heart's on his sleeve, don't you?
13:25I pressed the graphic, but I didn't know it anyway.
13:27And I've got a small penis.
13:29You as well?
13:31No, that was me doing...
13:32That was me doing an impersonation of you, to be fair.
13:35Listen, unlucky Paul, let's see what that's done to the prize pot.
13:44We are on £46,000.
13:46So, time for a quick break.
13:48We've lost 46 people here already.
13:50Hope you're doing OK at home.
13:51And don't forget, you can play along on the app.
13:53Sure, you can't win big money at home,
13:54but you can't embarrass yourself in front of the whole nation either.
13:57After the break, we'll be moving closer to seeing if anyone here
13:59can answer the 1% question.
14:01See you in a bit.
14:14Welcome back to the 1% Club.
14:15We started off with 100 people and now we are down to 54.
14:18The person who does best here tonight could be going home
14:20with up to £100,000.
14:22So, welcome to everyone who's still in the game.
14:27And from now on, we are going to give you an option
14:29to pay for a pass to the next question.
14:31And if you do, your £1,000 will be transferred to the prize pot.
14:35However, if you get as far as the 30% question without using your pass,
14:39you'll get the chance to take your £1,000 and leave the game.
14:42Right, it's time for the 50% question.
14:47Let's have a look at this one.
14:49Four modes of transport are arranged below alphabetically.
14:54If you rearrange them from lowest to highest
14:57by the number of passengers they typically carry,
15:00how many will stay in the same place?
15:04OK, your 30 seconds starts now.
15:06MUSIC PLAYS
15:12MUSIC PLAYS
15:31MUSIC CONTROL
15:34OK, your time is up. Let's see who's got it right.
15:57Right, we lost five people. Let's have a look at the answer.
16:00It's two. The car and the bus have swapped round.
16:03We've lost Courtney Nichols. Hello.
16:06Hello, Courtney. What did you put?
16:08One, for some reason. What do you do, Courtney?
16:10I'm a glorified bug cleaner. What does that mean?
16:13I clean toilets. Oh, OK.
16:16What would you have done with the money, Courtney, if you'd have won?
16:18I'd have brought some customised plungers,
16:21because I plunge a lot of toilets, so... OK.
16:24How can you customise a plunger?
16:26I'm sure there's a place online that you can do it.
16:29Yeah, just mug a Dalek. Yeah, I could do.
16:31Are you usually a lucky person, Courtney?
16:33Yes, usually. Well, I'm in the national statistics for the NHS.
16:38What for?
16:39Being the eighth recorded person in the UK
16:41to have diphtheria since the 1980s.
16:43You were the eighth person in the country to get diphtheria?
16:46Yeah. You're saying this with a lot of pride.
16:48I'm proud of that. How do you catch diphtheria?
16:51I don't even know.
16:53I think you get it off toilet seats. You're in the wrong job.
16:55Yeah, I think so. Isn't it from dirt and stuff?
16:58Probably, yeah. There's a bloke in front of you
17:00who's not in his head like he knows. Can we go to him?
17:02What's your name? Siddhar.
17:04And how do you know this? Well, I'm a biologist, so...
17:06And is that how you get diphtheria?
17:08Yeah, fecal matter, dirt.
17:10Glad we came to you. Right.
17:11So, unlucky that. Let's see what that's done to the prize pot.
17:19£51,000.
17:21OK, it's time for a 45% question.
17:25Let's have a look at this one.
17:29Satmahan always wears a short-sleeved shirt to work on odd dates of the month
17:33and long-sleeved shirts on even dates of the month.
17:36Plain shirts are worn from Monday to Wednesday
17:39and patterned shirts on Thursday and Friday.
17:42On which date must Satmahan wear this shirt?
17:46Your time starts now.
17:48.
17:48.
17:48.
17:49.
17:53.
17:54.
17:55OK, your time is up.
18:19Let's see whose lights are still on.
18:25Right, we lost three people, though. Let's have a look at the answer.
18:39It is C, Friday the 2nd of May, cos it's long-sleeved shirts on even dates,
18:43patterned shirts on Thursday and Friday.
18:46Somebody who got that wrong is Justin Stubbs.
18:49What did you put, Justin Stubbs?
18:50I put B. I just read it wrong.
18:53I read it wrong. Never mind, Justin. What do you do?
18:55I'm an RSPCA inspector, Lee.
18:57Oh, you must see some things.
18:58I see some gross things, but I see a lot of funny things as well.
19:02Probably on ITV Saturday night,
19:04why don't you tell us the funny one rather than the gross thing?
19:06So we tend to get a lot of calls from the public who misidentify things.
19:09OK. So we tend to get a lot of calls to carrier bags.
19:13And what do they think they are?
19:13They're swans up trees. They're swans...
19:16Sorry, swans up trees? Swans up trees.
19:18They think swans are stuck up trees.
19:20I have had a swan stuck up a tree, so that...
19:22No, no, I know what that was. That was a carrier bag.
19:23It was a carrier bag.
19:25A pile of leaves, ginger leaves.
19:27Well, it's a ginger kitten, so they were red leaves.
19:29Well, hang on. So they see a pile of ginger leaves, or red leaves...
19:32Yeah. Where? On the floor?
19:34In the gutter.
19:36And they think that's a kitten stuck down there?
19:37Somebody rang through and said,
19:38yes, an injured kitten, so...
19:39And do you slowly pick it out and then let it all fall apart in your hand and go,
19:42I think it's too late.
19:43Pretty much exactly that.
19:45Brilliant. All right. Listen, well done, Justin.
19:47Let's see all that's done to the prize pot.
19:52We're on £55,000.
19:55So we lost three of you there and one person passed,
19:58which means we now have 46 players left in the game.
20:02OK, it's time for the 40% question.
20:05Let's take a look at it.
20:08In 1983, whilst on holiday at Macklin's, Lee was knocked out at the quarter-final stage of a
20:14national knobbly knees competition.
20:17In 1984, he managed to win two more rounds than the previous year.
20:22Did he win the title of Macklin's best knobbly knees in 1984?
20:28OK, your time starts now.
20:29Well, let's go guys.
20:32What do you think?
20:34Well, let's be honest.
20:35OK, let's go guys.
20:36Yeah, sorry.
20:38See you later.
20:39Let's go.
20:40Let's go.
20:42Bye.
20:47Bye.
20:48Bye.
20:49Bye.
20:50Bye.
20:52Bye.
20:55Bye.
20:56Bye.
20:56Bye.
20:57Bye.
20:57Bye.
20:58Bye.
20:58Bye.
20:59Your time is up. Let's see you've got it right.
21:23Right, we lost 15 of you, though. Let's have a look at the answer.
21:26The answer is no. He won the quarter-final this time
21:30and then won the semi-final, but he didn't win the final.
21:33So the answer is no. I didn't win knobbly knees,
21:36but I was runner-up in the wet T-shirt competition.
21:39Someone who got it wrong is Kyle Rigan.
21:42Where are you, Kyle?
21:43Hey, Luke. How are you, Kyle?
21:45I was sat here great until just...
21:47You must have been 100% certain about that,
21:49because you didn't use your pass, did you?
21:51No. Brian's to hold on to it. I was sat here smug the whole time.
21:53Have you? My light was on, but a certain...
21:56Someone I'm with is... Hers has been blue for a while now.
21:58Oh, you're with someone? Yeah.
22:00Who are you with?
22:01My wife sat over there. She's been blue for, I think, 70%, I think.
22:04What do you call, madam? Sadie. I'm not taking him home.
22:09You're not taking him home? Yeah, he can walk home.
22:12Are you quite a competitive couple?
22:14Very. Are you?
22:15What kind of things do you do that's competitive?
22:17Mainly this show.
22:18They're meant to scream in at the TV.
22:20Right.
22:21And Miss gives herself four passes, makes up the rules as she goes along.
22:25She pause it.
22:26Pause it to the TV.
22:27Oh, that's the killer, isn't it? Exactly.
22:28People tell me all the time, people sometimes,
22:29I get these people maybe from South Africa that say,
22:31they get the 1% question every show.
22:34But they don't count the fact that they're pausing the telly,
22:36making a cup of tea, having a good thing and coming back to it the next day.
22:40Anyway, listen, I hate to ask, but what would you have done with the money?
22:43Well, I had big plans, Lee. I had a great business idea, actually.
22:47Oh, OK. This is the time to pitch it on telly.
22:49So I was thinking if I won the £100,000, I was going to hire myself out.
22:52As?
22:53Obviously, last name's Riggan, so the plan was to have Renter Riggan.
22:57OK.
22:57And then it was a case of, you know, say on a Friday night,
23:00you want to go to the cinema, you've got no one to go with.
23:02You pay for me, pay for the expenses, pay for the ticket, I'll come along.
23:06You buy the expensive popcorn.
23:08I mean, how far are we going here?
23:09If I rent you out and sit next to me and watch a film together,
23:12what if I say, do you want to walk me home?
23:13Well, depends, Lee.
23:15I mean, for you, I might consider.
23:17Would you come in for a coffee?
23:19No, no, no. I draw the line at that point, unfortunately.
23:21That's all right.
23:22I don't think the wife will be happy with that one.
23:25Well done, you two.
23:26I'm sorry about that. I see you're good fun.
23:28Let's see what that's done to the prize pot.
23:33£70,000.
23:35Right, let's move on to the 35% question.
23:40OK, here it is.
23:43What well-known phrase is represented below?
23:47And your time starts now.
23:52MUSIC PLAYS
24:19OK, your time is up.
24:20Let's see who got it right and how many people are out.
24:23MUSIC PLAYS
24:36Right, we lost no-one. Let's have a look at the answer.
24:38APPLAUSE
24:40For this, head over heels.
24:43Somebody got it right is Emma Brunyard.
24:45Emma, how quickly did you get that?
24:47Actually, that's the easiest one.
24:50OK, what will you do if you win the money?
24:52I was thinking I might go on a professional dating service
24:56because I'm, like, chronically single.
24:58Are you? Yeah.
24:59I hate dating. This is my issue. I hate it.
25:01I know a fella who's willing to come along to the cinema for you
25:04as long as you're willing to pay.
25:06He woke up at the front door, so...
25:08He made that clear, didn't he?
25:09Also, he's married.
25:10OK, yeah, that's the point.
25:12I like the idea that it's in that order.
25:14LAUGHTER
25:15Oh, God!
25:16That's not...
25:17I would never.
25:19You wouldn't, no.
25:20No.
25:21That's probably still why I'm single,
25:22cos I have these ideas and everyone's like...
25:24Are you looking for perfection?
25:25Is that the problem?
25:26I... No.
25:27No.
25:28I think I make bad life choices, Lee.
25:30I know a fella who collects pubic hair in a tic-tac box.
25:33Don't have to worry, but you're in a safe space tonight
25:36for bad life choices.
25:37No, I'm not that bad.
25:38I've never collected eyelashes.
25:40Yeah.
25:41OK.
25:42Well done, Emma.
25:43Thanks.
25:44You're still with us.
25:45Let's see what that's done to the prize pot.
25:49We're on £72,000.
25:51It's time for a quick break.
25:53Well done, Trevor.
25:54Still in the game.
25:55We'll see you in a bit when someone here could win up to £100,000.
26:11Welcome back to The 1% Club.
26:12We've been asking questions which have been tested out
26:14on a cross-section of the British public.
26:16We've been whittling down the contestants here tonight
26:18on our left with 31 people with their lights still on.
26:21As a reward, any contestant who hasn't played their pass
26:24still has their £1,000 now has a choice.
26:26Play on for the big money in the prize pot
26:28or you can take your £1,000 and leave the quiz right now.
26:32So first of all, let's see which players still have their £1,000.
26:37So those of you with your lights on,
26:39you can take your money and leave the show if you want.
26:41So please make your decision now.
26:57OK, so four of you have decided to take your £1,000 and leave the game,
27:00including Emma Brunyard.
27:01Yeah.
27:02Chronically single, in your words.
27:04Yeah.
27:05So are you going to use this £1,000 to do anything about that?
27:08I think I actually might just sack off the idea.
27:11I've come on to a new idea.
27:13OK.
27:14I really want, you know, like you get it in those arcades,
27:16those dance machines.
27:17Yes.
27:18Yeah.
27:19Everyone would want to come round and I'd be like,
27:21yeah, I've got an arcade dance machine.
27:23I like those dance machines.
27:24I'd come round.
27:25He wouldn't because he doesn't make it past the front door, but...
27:27And he's married.
27:29And he's married.
27:30We've been through this, remember.
27:31Sorry, my bad.
27:32Yes.
27:33Well, well done to you and well done to everyone who's taken the £1,000.
27:36APPLAUSE
27:38Right, so the rest of you have decided to play on.
27:40Let's see if that gamble will pay off and if any of you can go all the way
27:43and join the 1% Club.
27:44And remember, if you've still got your £1,000, you can pay for a pass
27:47to the next question.
27:49It is time for the 30% question.
27:52Let's take a look.
27:54When the letters of the word enigma are rearranged into alphabetical order,
28:00which letter is the only one to stay in the same position?
28:05And your time starts now.
28:07MUSIC PLAYS
28:12OK, your time is up.
28:13Let's see who got it right.
28:14MUSIC PLAYS
28:15OK, your time is up.
28:17Let's see who got it right.
28:18MUSIC PLAYS
28:19MUSIC PLAYS
28:38OK, your time is up.
28:39Let's see who got it right.
28:40MUSIC PLAYS
28:42Right, we lost one person on that one.
28:55Let's have a look at the answer.
28:57It's the letter M.
28:59Somebody who passed on that one is Tom Peru.
29:02Hello.
29:03Hello, Tom.
29:04You are very happy.
29:05I am, yeah.
29:06You might be the happiest contestant we've ever had.
29:08Hello.
29:09That's nice.
29:10Hiya.
29:11You look like, where's Wally, but he's grown up.
29:13Oh, thank you.
29:14Finally, we found him.
29:15Where's your hat?
29:16In my back.
29:17What are you going to do with the money if you win?
29:19I don't think I'm going to win.
29:21You know.
29:22I'd like to always be some confidence talk.
29:24Well, you know what?
29:25You're supposed to be sending out a message to the others
29:27to threaten them and make them feel worried.
29:29No, I'm not very competitive like that.
29:31I'm just here for a nice day out, you know.
29:33You know, a lot of people, when they say,
29:34I've been here for a nice day.
29:35I've said that before, and I've never believed them,
29:37but you're the only one I've genuinely believed.
29:39I'm having a lovely time.
29:41Yeah, I am.
29:42I'm having a right nice day.
29:43So you don't normally win things, Tom?
29:45I've won a couple of awards in my time.
29:47Have you?
29:48I won nice guy of the year in some, like...
29:50I can see that already.
29:52Aw.
29:53Nice guy of the year.
29:54I'd give you nice guy of the year as well.
29:55That's how nice you are that you would give it to me,
29:57the award.
29:59OK, good luck to you, Tom.
30:01Let's see what that's done to the prize pot.
30:05We're on £74,000.
30:09So, we lost one of you there.
30:11Two people passed,
30:12which means we now have 26 players left in the game.
30:15We are at the 25% stage now.
30:21Every year, Arthur has the same number of candles on his cake
30:24as his age.
30:25If, during his lifetime,
30:26there have been a total of 28 individual candles,
30:29how old is Arthur?
30:31OK, your time starts now.
30:33As you can talk to the next round,
30:34we'll see.
30:35All right.
30:36Well, there you are.
30:37We're about to rush it.
30:38In the coming up.
30:40Come on.
30:41The party will have the same number of candles.
30:42press,
30:43What are you doing?
30:44The party's coming?
30:45The party will have to go for it.
30:46Right.
30:47The party will find out,
30:48you will need to have to go for it.
30:49Yes, sir.
30:50The party talks will be in front of us.
30:51The party will be in front of us.
30:52The party will be in front of us,
30:53the party will be in front of us.
30:55The party will be in front of us.
30:56The party will be inside of us.
30:58OK, your time is up. Let's see who got it right.
31:22Right, we lost three people. Let's have a look at the answer.
31:26It's seven, and there's the maths.
31:28Somebody who didn't know it but used their pass is Lizzie Broughton.
31:32Hello, Lizzie. Hi, Lizzie. I'm here.
31:34No clue or just not sure enough?
31:36Yeah, I literally got it. I just wasn't, like, 100% sure.
31:39Just got the 30... Did you get to 28 in your head?
31:42Yeah, yeah, and then I was just, like, I ran out of time.
31:45You're not risking it, yeah. Fair enough, fair enough.
31:47What do you do, Lizzie? I'm a student and a forklift driver.
31:50Are you? Yeah.
31:52I mean, you don't fit the stereotype of... I know.
31:54I'm thinking middle-aged man, fag out the mouth, pot belly.
31:58As you do. Yeah. Yeah.
32:00But nothing like you? No, maybe one day.
32:02Are you...?
32:06Is that what you're aiming for?
32:08What made you apply, Lizzie?
32:10Well, my mum was supposed to apply with me,
32:12so I was going to, like, just embarrass her.
32:15That's why I'm here.
32:16But she was too lazy to apply in the end.
32:18OK.
32:19Because she always embarrasses me.
32:21Like what?
32:22So, growing up, I always told everyone that I had an extra toe.
32:26That's what she told me when I asked her why my feet look weird.
32:30You're joking. She told you... Yeah, yeah, yeah.
32:32And you haven't? And then my 18th birthday, she goes,
32:34Oh, Lizzie, it was just a lie. I just wanted you to shut up.
32:37Well, hang on a minute. Hang on.
32:38Just to start with, have you got five toes on each feet?
32:41Yeah, yeah, yeah.
32:42But I just... I got a funny-looking foot, right?
32:44Right.
32:45So, like, I thought, oh, maybe there was an extra one.
32:48Oh, it was removed? Yeah.
32:50Oh, your mum told you it was removed?
32:51Yeah.
32:52That's a bit mean.
32:53I know.
32:54What's the matter with her?
32:55I know. You tell her.
32:56I will.
32:57Thanks.
32:58Sort it out, Mum.
32:59OK, well, listen.
33:00Well done, Lizzie, you're still with us.
33:01Use your pass, that's what it's for.
33:02Let's see what that's done to the prize pot.
33:04£79,000.
33:08We've got 23 people still in the game,
33:11and we are down to the 20% question now.
33:14Let's take a look.
33:16The names of which three colours are displayed here
33:21with the letters still in order?
33:23OK, your time starts now.
33:25The colours start now.
33:26The colours start now.
33:32OK, your time is up.
33:57Let's see who got it right.
33:59Right, we lost two people.
34:15Let's have a look at the answer.
34:16Orange, blue and pink.
34:18OK, so we lost two people there,
34:20and six people also passed.
34:22Someone who got it right is Martin Bailey.
34:24Hello, Martin.
34:25Hi there.
34:26There's something about you that makes me straight away go,
34:28I think he can win.
34:29You look clever.
34:30You look like your brain's so big it's not fitting in your head.
34:33You look very clever.
34:34I do.
34:35Have you been told that before?
34:36Yeah.
34:37OK, what do you do?
34:38I used to be a maths teacher.
34:39OK.
34:40And then I decided to do something a bit more fun.
34:43So 12 years ago, left and went into wedding entertainment.
34:47What do you do?
34:48Are you a stripper?
34:49Various things.
34:50I'm a church organist.
34:51Definitely not a stripper then.
34:53The main thing we do is we do ice cream for weddings.
34:56And what's your favourite flavour?
34:57Well, it's just vanilla ice cream,
34:59but then we've got loads of toppings that go with it.
35:02So we get all the flavours through the toppings.
35:04No, I'm sorry, that doesn't count.
35:06If you told me there was 20 different flavours
35:08and it turns out they're all vanilla with different toppings,
35:10I'd say, I'm sorry, mate, but that doesn't count.
35:12But I could entice you with our chilli toppings.
35:15We've got some chilli topping sauces that are absolutely amazing.
35:18Yeah.
35:19Wasn't that a band in the 80s?
35:21Oh, that's Milli Vanilli.
35:23Have you still got a pass?
35:25Yes.
35:26Oh, you've still got a pass.
35:27You must be one of our favourites.
35:28There's something about you that makes me think
35:30you could go the whole way.
35:31Mainly because you're my cousin
35:33and I've given you the answers.
35:35Thanks for the free ice cream.
35:37Well, good luck to you, Martin.
35:40Let's see what that's done to the prize pot.
35:44We're now on £85,000.
35:47Right, we're getting close to the end.
35:49It's now time for the 15% question.
35:54Let's take a look at this one.
35:56What fruit goes in both the gaps to make new words?
36:00OK, your time starts now.
36:02Let's take a look at this one.
36:03This is a beautiful step.
36:05Here is a great USA.
36:07One, the way.
36:08Let's take a look.

36:13You may be right.
36:14To be honest indeed.
36:15This is a beautiful city for you.

36:17You're my father.
36:19Your father and I are all together.
36:20It's a beautiful city.

36:28You're my son.
36:29You're my son.
36:30OK, your time is up. Let's see whose lights are still on.
36:53OK, we lost eight of you there. Let's have a look at the answer.
36:57It's lime, complement and limerick. OK, someone who got it right is Andrew Fenton.
37:02Hello, Andrew. Hi, Lee. Have you got a pass?
37:05I have. Oh, that's good. So you're one of the six.
37:08What do you do, Andrew? I own a property company in South Wales, in Barrie.
37:11OK. Oh, Barrie. Barrie. Gavin and Stacey land. Yes.
37:13We look after the property that was used for Uncle Brin's property
37:16in the Gavin and Stacey show. Rob Brydon's? Indeed.
37:20The thing is, Rob Brydon, I know for a fact,
37:22because I've been on holiday many times with him, lovely guy,
37:24makes a terrible mess and steals things.
37:28So, did you check the inventory when he left?
37:30I need to go back and check it again. Have another look.
37:32I'd just like to point out, just to make it absolutely clear,
37:34he does steal things.
