00:20When Netflix rolled out the red carpet on Monday night in Los Angeles for a special screening and Q&A with several of the show's stars and its creator, Hwang Dong-hyuk,
00:28the latter opened up about his plans for season two.
00:31The writer and director told The Hollywood Reporter, through a translator,
00:35I do have a basic storyline for season two. It's all in my head, and I am currently in the brainstorming stage.
00:40It will happen someday, but as for when, I cannot tell you the details.
00:44But he did tease one general theme for the second season.
00:47What I can say is that Gi-hun is going to be back, and he will do something for the world.
00:51THR has reached out to Netflix for a comment on the status of Squid Game season two,
01:00and a spokesperson said the second season is in discussions, but not confirmed yet.
