00:08We talked at the ACMs earlier this year, and you were prepping for your first baby.

00:17My daughter's August the 10th. I'm August the 9th.

00:20So it's kind of crazy.

00:23I know, right? It's so perfect.
00:25But, you know, we talked about advice you'd been given and all that stuff.
00:28But now, reality has hit you.
00:30It's just over three months with your little baby.
00:33How are things going?
00:35What has been the biggest shock for you, the thing you were never prepared for?
00:40You know, I think just adjusting to the schedule, the sleep schedule.
00:45Although this is probably the best reason I've ever had to be tired.
00:48So it's, you know, I think that has been something.
00:52But just also the...
00:54I don't know.
00:54I've always felt like I've felt things deeply and, you know, loved people hard.
01:00But this, I mean, this is a different story.
01:02I don't know that I ever expected to be able to feel the way I do about something.
01:07And this, you know, since I met my wife, but having a baby and a baby girl in a world like this, man,
01:12it is, you know, it just, it changes your life and especially your view, the things you're thinking about,
01:19you're even doing what I'm writing about.
01:21Like, it's, you know, I got to do what I can to try to, you know, make the world a better place.
01:25You know, they say that, like, it opens up a new chamber in your heart that you didn't know existed.
01:30And what I found, too, is the depth of love I have for my wife.

01:35Like, unbelievably.
01:36Yeah.
01:37I mean, we all know that women are amazing, but just the way, you know, to see her be a mom and that's, you know,
01:42I'm living my dream.
01:43That has always been her dream.
01:45And we're, we know that we're blessed to be able to have her.
01:50And like I said, to see her, yeah, my wife, it's, our relationship's obviously stronger.
01:55And like I said, it's, it's tough.
01:56I mean, that not every day and night is easy, but I think that's what I'm telling her is, you know,
02:03the tough nights, the tough, I think those are why people say it's the most rewarding job you'll ever have.
02:08If it wasn't tough, if it was just easy, I mean, I don't, I don't know.
02:11It'd just be, you know, it's going to bring us closer together and make our family stronger, I think.
02:15So, but yeah, it's, it's tough to see that sometimes on the long nights.
02:19But man, it's, it's been amazing just having her and, you know, seeing Courtney be a mom.
02:24And I can, I already feel like you're writing a song in this interview of what we're going to be getting out of Cole Swindell, dad era Cole Swindell.
