00:34me okay all right so you're not so I won't be as quite as depressed exactly so we do something at

00:42the booth called one big question I get one big question and I'm not going to make it about

00:46football okay go for it I promise you oh no Nicole's over there for our social stop so you might

00:52might catch a little hell there but might catch a stray there you go but I want to know from you

00:57because I love the way Nashville uplifts each other artists young artists reaching out helping people

01:04collabing writing co-writing whatever it might be is there an artist that's beginning their career

01:10that either you're reaching out to or that you're listening to right now you're thinking

01:14there's something going on here and I like it there's this new guy Alan Jackson I think is the

01:20no um yeah there's there's actually several people here in town um that I've seen just play

01:29around and are on the cusp of getting a deal or talking with a label right now um one of them is

01:36actually a friend of mine who's in a duo he's about to I think sign a deal and I've known him for a long

01:41time but yeah he's gonna do his first solo deal whoa his name's Austin Machado um there's another guy

01:49that actually writes for my publishing company named Ty Graham who's pushing for some solo success

01:54so yeah there's there's a lot of people that I know that are you know would be highly under the

02:00radar for your average yeah listener I guess but I've been lucky enough to get a chance to know them

02:05and hear their music and know how good they are if you could go back and give Chris Young advice at

02:10that time of your career right on the cusp of signing that first deal what would you say to Chris Young

02:15I wouldn't do anything different because everybody always asks you like what would you do different

02:20what would you change what's the advice you would get um just lock in it's gonna be a long three and

02:25a half years before your first hit but then after that it gets better it's fine oh that's great
