00:01Layton and Ellie are the first couple that we've had in the farm in maybe ever.
00:06People often get into relationships at June Farms, but if they get their job done, frankly, I don't care.

00:17We are taking Layton off the schedule. I just cannot keep doing this with him.
00:21I see Layton and Ellie standing by their cars when they're supposed to be working,
00:25and they're giving me a little bit of attitude. Things escalate, and then they storm off.
00:29Since then, Ellie and Layton have been nowhere to be found.
00:33What? This was the cool car.
00:36There's definitely a clicky atmosphere at June Farms, but I'm interested in working in events.

00:52Weddings feel so stressful from, like, you know, years of planning
00:56that when this moment happens, it is what makes it all worth it.
01:00This week felt less about Layton and Ellie
01:03and more about us pulling together as a team
01:05to pull off this beautiful intimate wedding.

01:26So even though it's been like a week, week and a half since Layton and Ellie stormed off,
01:31we have a very busy week ahead, and I need a full staff to take care of all these events coming up.
01:35And I'm feeling the loss with two people being gone.
01:38Um, this Sunday we have Kirsten and Brock.
01:41They are expecting 49 guests, and we're gonna do their ceremony in the Pony Barn,
01:46and they're here for the rest of the night for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing.

01:51Okay, so these guys, Kirsten and Brock, are totally in love.
01:55I swear they can't keep their hands off each other.
01:57They only met eight months ago,
01:59so a lot of their family will be meeting for the first time at this wedding.
02:02Kirsten is a self-admitted control freak.
02:06She wants a relaxed atmosphere for the family to mingle,
02:09all white floral arrangements,
02:11and a very specific soundtrack for each piece of the wedding.
02:15We are clearing out every single piece of furniture in this room,
02:20and bringing in farm tables,
02:22so they're gonna do a sit-down dinner in here for 50 people,
02:25and a, um, sweetheart table in front of the fireplace.
02:28The bride is arriving at one o'clock to get ready in the lodge,
02:32so Leah, I have you on bride duty for this one.
02:35And then Tom, you're gonna be with the groom.
02:39Trinnell, I have you, um, playing MC that night.
02:42The couple has a musician for their ceremony,
02:45but no DJ or anything for the actual reception.
02:49This week, I'm a DJ slash MC,
02:52and my job is to make sure that they have the most incredible time,
02:56and it's the best night of their life.

03:01This is gonna be quick on my end,
03:02because my mom's bringing, like, 40 of her girlfriends to the farm.
03:05This is the annual trip that my mom takes with her friends from Cedar Lake,
03:09a place that I grew up going to in the summer.
03:11You know, I think there's 30 or 40 women showing up,
03:13and I just want to give them a wonderful day and the time of their life.
03:17Lastly, I want to say that this week,
03:19I received probably a dozen comments from guests
03:22that said the staff here is amazing.
03:26I think something really positive that's come out of the last week
03:29is that with not having Layton and Allie on the schedule,
03:32it's been really nice seeing different staff members
03:35step into another role and seeing them, like, do really well at it.
03:38For example, Leah, she has been an amazing help.
03:41I'm so glad that she came to the farm this year.
03:44When people come here and they say that you guys made them happy,
03:46it makes me really happy.

12:03yeah I remember when we first went to look at the land there were no roads
12:08there was no electricity there was nothing it's overwhelming sometimes
12:14that's our ball right there coming right on up to us and he has five females so
12:19when you look at it appreciate that every tree every fence every animal
12:24every building was put in with a purpose by Matthew all right come on in my mom
12:32has been a huge inspiration for me with the farm mainly because growing up she
12:35was such an incredible host I mean she always had friends over and I
12:38definitely learned my skill of hospitality from my mom and my
12:42grandparents any cultured person who has traveled the world can come to June
12:46farms now and have a wonderful time and for that I feel like we are approaching
12:52the level that I feel like we should be at this is a new wedding ceremony site
12:58that we just finished last week Matthew this is beautiful isn't it so nice back
13:04here okay I'm on it about 11 farm hands this is Josh our single farm manager who
13:15you're gonna pass he's single ladies we're gonna take a picture out here yes of
13:25course of course as many as you want I hope you all had a good time this is like a

13:50time at the farm is just all I could ask for it he was 12 years old and somebody
13:55said Matthew what do you want to be when you grow up and he said I want to be an
13:58entrepreneur and I turned to his dad and I said does he even know what that means
14:05oh sure what is this is where dinner is and dinner and dancing and dinner and dancing the
14:17only thing within here is because all these tables are gonna be set up with
14:20everything on it the only place that we're really gonna be able to put it is
14:23all pushed on that side of the room so when guests come in here they'll just
14:27see the tables I mean we could gently move it over to here for a little bit
14:32yeah and that also and leave this table set up and put this table there set up
14:37the only thing with not moving these or just sliding these down and leaving this
14:41here is we won't be able to set chairs up for the ceremony no no I think in
14:44order for her to commit to having a ceremony in here means everyone's standing and
14:48it's like town hall wedding Pearson and Brock are choosing to have the
14:52pony barn is their main spot for pretty much everything for their wedding and
14:55that comes with the challenge of how do we make each component of that wedding
15:00feel special and not just one sort of big party like I'd be like a ceremony in
15:06front of here yeah I love it and the florist has a lot of stuff I mean I think it
15:11would be so pretty just like thinking ahead if we moved everything I don't think
15:15we do I mean it's only 50 people it can encourage them to get married here have
15:18all the tables looking gorgeous they're standing around they can even go to the 50
15:22people can kind of stand even by the bar I think I mean I would love to have it
15:26that way
15:40I'm on I feel very fortunate to have a mother who is such a good friend to me
15:47she's been through a lot in her life and we have a wonderful relationship at any
15:50time I get to spend with her it feels very valuable to me picking you guys up
15:53on the golf carts was the highlight of my summer it's so funny oh my god cheers

16:32monogamy I think that we're all meant to have multiple sexual love partners in our life it's

16:41to go into it with my mom I keep saying to him I need to know that you're just gonna like allow me
16:48to be myself and accept it and still want to be with me no that's important because you have to be
16:53who you are you need to find somebody that loves you yeah he loves me the things that make Matthew a
17:00great entrepreneur are exactly the traits that make him difficult to be in a relationship he wants to be
17:06his own boss he likes to make his own decisions he isn't used to compromise and I think Matthew
17:12needs someone that challenges him and says listen this is an equal partnership you know we really
17:19like Mike I hope that I hope that works out remember asking if I was gay when I was in a car going to a
17:24bank with you in college and I wanted to punch through the window I was so offended do you remember
17:28yes I do at that point to be gay was so like not accepted and like it was uh it was such a weakness
17:36or like uh abnormality so I was like just trying to hide as best I could from it I mean it's different
17:42now like when I was a kid it was just very very frightening to think about coming out because the
17:48whole world told you that you were just incorrect human that like was fucked up or that was a choice and
17:55you're like sinful and it's like weird and creepy and you're thinking what the fuck
17:59it wasn't easy that day I said Matthew were you afraid to tell me I mean I knew you know but you
18:10hadn't said it so until you say it then it's not yeah it's not real yeah and I said to you were you
18:18afraid to tell me that you were gay and you said no because I knew you loved me
18:24you got a good personality I do right yes you spread that rumor I am it's not a rumor I I thought
18:34when we pulled into the farm today and I looked over on my right I feel like you love the animals
18:40and this is where you should be I mean none of the other places as much as I love them make me as happy
18:45as that farm does and that's a fact I remember dad always talking like he had a monologue going
18:52wherever we went like he'd say these are Jersey cows over here or they're planting something right
19:00there's so much about here right there were things that he talked about that I think all of you picked
19:06up on about loving nature and loving animals and treating them right I think that helped you know
19:13is one of the reasons that you love doing what you're doing right I know he would have been proud
19:21he would have been so proud of you really
19:24I had a father that had committed suicide in my mid-20s and I wasn't out at the time and once that
19:34happened it was very hard for me and all I kept thinking is I'm not going to live my life in any other
19:40way I'm like how I want to do it so I did
19:51he really would be proud of me he was he grew up on a farm

20:54side with no chairs so what we're gonna do now is just slide this table over a little bit and just
21:00have her come in and go right down the middle here okay she wants to be wherever the florals are so
21:05so I mean I think that totally works with what we've designed Kirsten is asking for all of the
21:11flowers to be white very simple lots of greenery basically so that it doesn't take away from the
21:16natural beauty of the surroundings we're also gonna do candles all in the wall too so we'll get
21:21working on that so it'll be beautiful in here cool oh I love the farmer market how are you how are you
21:34big waffle guy have you ever had that before he loves these I come here for these these are my
21:40number one choice you make a remark like that you have to speak louder so everybody hears it I love
21:45these waffles this past week I've spent one two three four five nights at Tom's apartment it's not there all

24:36like that like if I lived here full-time it probably would be like that but there's like that wall
24:42it's like I'm in the situation and I'm like I'm back and forth day by day by day yep okay you want
24:50to know what happened with Matt so yeah I do regret walking out like it's like the team thing you know
24:56like that's not like me that's not I don't walk out on my shifts so what do you want to come back and

25:40and I just want to get your opinion on it let me read you this text I first wanted to start off with
25:46an apology I'm sorry for one not showing up for you these past couple of weeks like I had been at
25:51the beginning duration of the season and two for allowing myself to be distracted during work and
25:56not being on my a game like I'm known to be I had a meeting with Matt and was curious if maybe you
26:01would allow me to come back and help you conquer the rest of the event season and bang it out
26:05through the finish line like last year I don't know I don't know how I feel about that text but
26:11I'm not really buying it right now where was this two weeks ago I don't know that I believe that he's
26:16like really sorry and feels bad about what he did and I don't want Leighton back on events like
26:21he makes my job really hard and I don't feel that he deserves to come back right now it's like where
26:27was that apology like a week exactly it could have been partially Matt being like you need to say
26:34sorry and like I was thinking that too Matt forgives a lot of people sometimes that he shouldn't and I
26:39almost feel like in a way like I have to not like protect Matt but make him realize yeah because he's
26:45enabling it I know this is like a very understandable place and like obviously the relationship between Matt
26:50and him are like spoken for Leighton's great but it's also like you did give him those chances and
26:56like think about it if it was like a corporate job and he left I wouldn't fly he wouldn't like that's
27:02like a blacklist yeah offense if Leighton came back on events I would quit I work way too hard and I work
27:11way too much to have somebody on my team who is not on my level and who's making my job harder I need
27:17like a team who's going to be there and have my back and help me and not people who are going to let
27:21me down
27:23is the sun coming out it might yeah it'll be but that means it's gonna be also like 150 degrees
27:44we have like fans in the barn and everything so it'll be cool in there
27:47okay that's fine I'm on bridal duty again and I'm excited because it's still pretty new to me so

28:08she wanted things to go which is helpful in a lot of ways but also like kind of puts people on edge
28:13because they know like how much it means to Kirsten and so they don't want to fuck anything up
28:17but I'll be pretty much up and down like anything you need so just let me know

38:14fingers with this couple in particular normally it's something that the caterer would handle but they
38:19only had catering till 8 30 and pushed back the time that they were supposed to cut their cake so
38:25my job just kind of never ends and whatever gets thrown at me on the wedding day i just have to
