00:00Every day thousands of Canberrans drive past this tree on Yarra Glen and don't know its remarkable history.
00:12The tree was planted around the late 1920s as part of a windbreak at the Yarra Glen homestead which once stood near this spot.
00:23Around 30 years later the property was resumed by the government as part of the expansion of suburbia and this highway named after the property was subsequently built right through that original windbreak.
