00:04On the outskirts of the snowy mountains ghost town of Kyandra is this granite
00:10outcrop. Like many other granite outcrops in the Snowys, it doesn't look anything
00:16unusual. However, these rocks, or at least a couple of them, have an unusual musical
00:23property. If I pick up this stone and bang it, can you hear that? A ringing sound. Now
00:31I'm not sure why it's ringing. It's a bit of a mystery why it's ringing. It's not the
00:35only sound here because just off to my side here is of course the Snowy Mountains Highway.
00:40The cars go whizzing past here all the time. So you've got the noise of the cars to compete
00:46with if you want to come and play a bit of music. But now that those cars are gone, have
00:50to listen to this. Very metallic. A real mystery here in the Snowy Mountains.
01:29Why? And how?
01:38See, they even work. The Kyandra ringing rocks even work when it's snowy.
01:51Since it's snowy, the new day.
01:51You
