The former 'Tonight Show' host suffered third-degree burns but his doctor says he is "optimistic that [Leno] will make a full recovery.”

00:00Jay Leno has been released from the Grossman Burns Center where he was being treated for injuries after suffering third-degree burns from a fire that broke out in his garage.
00:10The center, which announced the former Tonight Show host Discharge on Monday, also shared a photo of Leno with its staff.
00:17Dr. Peter Grossman said in a statement,
00:19I am pleased with Jay's progress and I am optimistic that he will make a full recovery.
00:23Leno underwent surgery for burns on his face, chest and hands.
00:28Following a 10-day stay at the facility, the former host will now move to the Grossman Outpatient Burn Clinic where he'll receive follow-up care.
00:36The Grossman Burn Center also said in a news release that Leno thanks everyone for their well wishes and is looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with his family and friends.
00:46Leno's treatment included high-pressure oxygen therapy to stimulate healing, along with surgery in which the burn areas are cleaned and shaved away.
00:54A temporary biological skin substitute was also placed over the area.
00:59As previously reported, the fire broke out early last week in Leno's garage where he has a collection of cars and other motor vehicles.
