Transcript
00:00We are backstage at the CMA Awards with nominees Old Dominion. If you guys win tonight, you'll be
00:08breaking your own record of eight consecutive wins. It's the best kind of record to break, really.
00:12Yeah, right? They have no pressure. Yeah, a lot less pressure, right? Okay, so last time when you hit
00:17number seven, you had like a big special thing that you did. Is there something like preemptively
00:21planned? Like an idea? Trevor had an idea. Yeah, I thought we should do eight songs at the Rhyme.
00:26Just eight songs, not eight nights. Eight shows. Eight songs outside of the Rhyme. Yeah, there
00:32you go. Just right there on the corner. On Broadway, people will love it. You guys are performing
00:36a medley. Yes. Talk about the medley. Five songs, not eight. Five songs, not eight. A medley
00:41is a group of songs. Stringed together. I know what that was. No, we're doing, you know, we're
00:47celebrating 10 years of meat and candy, you know, which was 10 years ago. No way. Yeah.
00:53Crazy. Yeah, so we're just going to play, you know, as many hits as we can cram into whatever
00:57it is, four and a half minutes. And, you know, just happy to be all men and, you know, hopefully
01:03we'll be able to print our own record. Yeah. And then you guys are heading to Vegas very soon
01:07for your residency. Barbara Hits Vegas. Oh my God, Barbara Hits Vegas. Who's like most likely
01:11to be lost and then found at like a craps table? Trevor's probably me. Really? It's you?
01:16More like Blackjack. Blackjack? Okay. Are you like good at Blackjack?
01:19Uh, some nights. What would your wife say, Trevor? Would she say you're good at Blackjack?
01:25Oh, she would say I'm amazing because she always cares about the good times. Of course
01:28she does. Of course she does. What else are you guys looking forward to about Vegas?
01:32I don't know. It's going to be fun to just kind of do a little bit of a different show.
01:35Yeah. We're trying to curate it more towards Barbara. Is Barbara going to come out?
01:39I don't know what we're going to do. I don't know. Oh, you don't even know yet?
01:42Yeah, we don't plan too far ahead. You guys, no, never. I don't believe such a thing.
01:47Nope. Nope. Okay. So Vegas, CMA Awards. What else are we like excited about before this
01:52year wraps up? Because like it's here, it's the end. I mean, before this year wraps up,
01:56I'm looking forward to sitting on my couch for a couple, a couple of days. A couple of
02:00minutes. A couple of minutes to sit on your couch. It's been a busy year. It's been a very
02:03busy year. This is a very busy year. When you sit on the couch, what are you going to like,
02:06you know, binge watch something and read a book? What are you going to do? Stare at the
02:09wall? Yeah. Maybe drink a little bit. Maybe, uh, some water. Yeah. Some water. Hydrate for the first
02:14time while you're playing a little Fortnite. Yeah. Okay. Got it. What about you guys?
02:19I'll get that dope. Uh, man, I don't know. I was saying I'm just going to lay there and
02:24watch some sports and, uh, do a crossword puzzle. I'm trying to think of something.
02:30Trevor's sitting down doing the New York Times crossword puzzle. He's like, it's Sunday.
02:33No big deal. I just got the, a giant stack of, uh, uh, firewood delivered to the house.
02:39So I'm going to have some fires. You're going to have some fires. You're not like chopping your
02:42own firewood. No. Absolutely not. These hands? No. Yeah. This has got to play guitar. Okay.
02:51Jeff, what about you? You know those hands Brad Paisley talks about? Yeah. Yeah. He does?
02:56The creamy lotiony ones? The creamy lotiony hands. What? You know that song? I'm still a guy.
03:02Does he say that? And I'm still a guy? Yeah, he does. That's probably one of those lyrics that
03:06like you sing along to for years and you don't even realize what you're singing about. You're
03:09like, wait a second. You're singing creamy lotiony hands. Here we go. All right. Jeff,
03:14what do you got before the end of the year? I'll be baking bread and sitting in a hot tub.
03:19Not at the same time? That would be incredible. But those are the two things that I'm really
03:22important. I really thought you were going to say and taking names. I'll be breaking bread and
03:25taking names. I came here to do two things. Baked bread. You should get a floating, like,
03:31uh, you know, where you roll the dough out. Ooh. All right. Yeah. That is
03:35definitely not passing like health department standards for sure. I can't wait to just cut
03:41this entire interview so that it's just creamy lotiony hands, bread in a jacuzzi. I knew when
03:48you guys came in, this was going to go somewhere weird and I love it. All right. Good luck at CMA
03:53noise or backstage with Old Dominion.
