00:00I am obsessed with this coat. Wait, is it purple or is the light purple in here?
00:05Purple.
00:06It's purple. I like it a lot. You know what? I was thinking about you the other day because I was watching a video of these girls who were like going to a show and they were getting their Ella Langley outfits ready and I was like, it's got to be wild for you being on stage, seeing people singing lyrics that you wrote, but then also like dressing in like an Ella Langley aesthetic is so cool.
00:24Yeah, it is kind of weird, but it's also, I heard early on in my career, you know, you can tell, you can tell like a legendary act by their shadow, by their, their, what's it called? You know, stand in front of a light. It's called your silhouette. Thank you.
00:40Thank you, sir.
00:41But by your silhouette. So, you know, me and my stylist, Seth Colvin have really worked hard on, you know, creating a brand and creating something. I think it's so fun when, you know, you see Taylor Swift fans like they get all dressed up in the thing and they have a whole time and that's what's so fun at the concerts.
00:53And so it's just fun when I see those girls that like they've spent half the day getting ready with their friends and picking out outfits. It's a blast.
00:59It's so much fun. Okay. So you are one of the most nominated artists with CMA awards around the world, which is wild and so much fun. You're also performing She's in Texas for the first time. Are you excited?
01:09I'm so excited. Yeah. This song is so special. It's the first song off the new record. I got to write it with Miranda Lambert. I wrote it with one of my best friends, Joy Beth Taylor and Mr. Luke Dick.
01:19And it's just the start to a new era. Yeah, it really is. And it's just got something to like, you just want to like, yeah, that's what this record is. You just want to move. Yeah, tell me more.
01:28Turn it all the way down. My goal with this next record is to be able to turn it all the way down and still move a little bit like this with each song. So.
01:33I love that. Yeah. Are there any collabs on this album? Maybe.
01:38I don't know. Okay. Well, you don't have to say anything. I just kind of wondered if like, you know, the other night when you brought Morgan Wallen out at the Ryman, I was like, is that maybe like a breadcrumb of a hint about something?
01:46No, that was because I have been annoying him about singing Cover Me Up. He asked me, he's like, what song do you want to sing on tour? And I was like, can I do Cover Me Up? And he's like, let's do what I want. I was like, okay. I'm kind of scared to sing that song, but I'll do my best. So I did my best. And then finally, he was like, what if we do Cover Me Up at the Ryman? And it happened.
02:07So it was amazing too. It was so cool. And then you got the new duet out with Luke Bryan. Yep. Which I'm sure, was this like the most fun thing ever to get to spend the day with Luke?
02:15Literally, I just laughed the whole day. Taking the pictures were one of the funniest parts too, just because.
02:19You never know what's going to come out of his mouth. Mine either. So it was a lot in there in one room.
02:24I'm sure, but I bet you guys had the best time. We did. Yeah. He's an awesome guy. He's so much fun. Listen, I'm rooting for you. Also, I just saw your necklace and I'm like, oh my God, I love it. Hello Langley.
02:33Oh my God, I'm obsessed with that. Okay, Renee Blair, we see you. All right, Ella Langley, thank you so much for coming to see us. It's so great to see you as always.
02:43Thank you for having me. Of course.
