00:17Speaking with Tony DeCouple on CBS's Sunday Morning,

00:20Portnoy said many young men supported former President Donald Trump

00:24because they believed Democrats had grown hostile toward traditional male culture.

00:28Portnoy, who grew up in a liberal Jewish family outside Boston,

00:32said Democrats pushed a message that made normal guys feel unwelcome.

00:36He argued that young men who enjoyed what he described as typical college social life,

00:41dating, drinking, and frat culture, were treated as if they were doing something wrong.

00:46To be honest, the white guy became the bad guy, he said,

00:50adding that many felt unfairly blamed for historical issues they had no part in.

00:54Portnoy sharply criticized Democrats throughout the 2024 election cycle,

01:00which Trump ultimately won after sweeping all seven battleground states.

01:04He said he had voted for Democrats in the past but felt he had no choice but to back Trump,

01:10citing what he called the pure arrogance of Vice President Kamala Harris's campaign.

01:16Portnoy also discussed the surge in anti-Semitic harassment he says he now faces daily.

01:21He recalled an incident in Starkville, Mississippi,

01:25where a man shouted an anti-Semitic slur during a pizza review.

01:29The individual, 20-year-old Patrick McClintock, was arrested after the video went viral.

01:34He described similar encounters in Toronto and Philadelphia.

01:38In Toronto, someone yelled an anti-Semitic insult from a passing car.

01:42In Philadelphia, a bottle service worker at the Barstool Bar held a sign with a slur,

01:48prompting Portnoy to fire two employees and identify those responsible.

01:52Portnoy said the rise in harassment has pushed him to speak out more publicly.
