00:00Trump thanks himself for working for no money to save the country.
00:04President Donald Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social, to give himself
00:09the praise he felt was due, posting a meme that thanked himself for his efforts to
00:13save a country that doesn't appreciate his sacrifice.
00:17Trump re-shared the meme, which shows him walking across a lawn wearing his signature
00:21red MAGA hat, his shirt collar undone and face smeared with makeup after a long day,
00:27to his 11 million followers.
00:29The caption read, I want to thank Donald Trump for working like a dog for no money to save
00:33a country that doesn't appreciate his sacrifice.
00:36Thank you, Mr. President.
00:38Trump added his own response, writing, Thank you.
00:41Big progress for America being made.
00:44Since taking office in January, Trump has repeatedly touted what he calls the Golden Age of America.
00:50He has promised lower fuel and grocery prices and, like during his first term, declined the
00:55annual presidential salary of $400,000.
00:58But many critics are questioning what progress he has made.
01:02One Instagram user wrote, The Levels of Delusion, breaking everything so that he is the only
01:07one who benefits.
01:08Another added, He is absolutely sick in the head.
01:12The President's administration insists that recent health evaluations show he is in good
01:16condition, dismissing such remarks.
01:18One critic posted, Working for no money?
01:21Are you kidding?
01:22You've spent $58 million since January golfing.
01:25You're stealing $1 billion to restore the Qatari jet.
01:28And now you're going to rob us of $230 million just because you can.
01:32That sounds like a big payoff to me, and I could go on.
01:36Adding to the controversy, Trump recently began replacing the East Wing of the White House with
01:40a lavish ballroom, claiming that the $200 million project is donor-funded.
01:46Yet, reports revealed he has filed two lawsuits against the Department of Justice, seeking
01:51$330 million, while the ballroom's projected cost has already ballooned to $300 million.
01:58Some detractors responded with sarcasm, Trump is correct, no one appreciates him and he works
02:03too hard.
02:04I think he should teach everyone a valuable lesson and quit.
02:07That will show all of us, one person wrote, A Reuters poll recently found that only 40% of
02:12Americans approve of his leadership.
