00:00Welcome back. Trade and investment are expected to take centre stage during the first half of Prime Minister Datuk Sri Anwar Ibrahim's second day of his official visit to Ethiopia.
00:11For more, we go to our correspondent Hafiz Mazzouki reporting on the line from Addis Ababa.
00:16Okay, so Prime Minister Datuk Sri Anwar Ibrahim is just done with the high-level business forum between Malaysia and Ethiopia here at the Addis International Convention Centre in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
00:31The event is also, other than being attended by the ministers from both Malaysia and Ethiopia, it is also attended by the President Teh Aski Selassie.
00:40The message from PM Anwar is clear. Malaysia is open for business and is ready to step up cooperation with Ethiopia when it comes to economy and trade.
00:51And that's the message that he sent to the business delegates who attended this event here in Addis Ababa.
00:59Of course, earlier in the day, during his second day of his official visit here in Addis Ababa, Prime Minister Anwar visited the National Adwa Museum.
01:10And other than that, he also had a meeting with the President Teh Aski Selassie to discuss areas for cooperation between Malaysia and Ethiopia.
01:23And of course, after this, I'm actually heading to the National Palace where there will be an official welcoming reception for Prime Minister Anwar by the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali.
01:37And after that, there is scheduled to be a joint press conference, which is about 11.55pm or 12am Malaysian time later tonight.
