The thriving economies of the United States and Southeast Asia have significant potential to usher in a golden age for both regions, said Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at the 13th Asean-US Summit on Oct 26.

He said this was because two-way trade reached a record of US$453bil last year, supporting jobs and businesses across the US and Asean.

01:35This reflects our will and commitment to turn cooperation into concrete outcomes with tangible
01:43benefits for ASEAN and the United States.
01:46On Gaza, we welcome your comprehensive plan to end the Gaza conflict.
01:51It has given the world a glimmer of hope that even in the most intractable conflicts, diplomacy
02:00and determination can prevail.
02:03And we trust that with your leadership, Mr. President, we will achieve a just and durable peace.
