Federal Court judge Tan Sri Ahmad Terrirudin Mohd Salleh has been appointed to the Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC).

In a Federal Government gazette dated Nov 18, and sighted by The Star, it was stated that the Prime Minister had appointed Ahmad Terrirudin as a member of the JAC, pursuant to paragraph 5(1)(e) of the Judicial Appointments Commission Act 2009.

00:39This makes him the eighth member of a nine-member panel sitting on the JAC, a body that was established
00:45to ensure transparency and to select qualified judges to the Superior Courts for the Prime
00:50Minister's consideration.
00:52The ninth position on the JAC remains vacant as of now, following the retirement of Chief
00:58Judge of Malaya Tanshri Hasna Mohamad Hashim recently.
