00:15the Prime Minister had appointed Ahmad Terirudin as a member of the JAC pursuant to paragraph
00:225 of the Judicial Appointments Commission Act 2009.
00:27The appointment is for a two-year period.
00:30Ahmad Terirudin's appointment fills in the vacancy left by Federal Court Judge Datuk Zabariya
00:35Mohamad Youssof, who retired last month.
00:39This makes him the eighth member of a nine-member panel sitting on the JAC, a body that was established
00:45to ensure transparency and to select qualified judges to the Superior Courts for the Prime
00:50Minister's consideration.
00:52The ninth position on the JAC remains vacant as of now, following the retirement of Chief
