01:33that wedding was really fun she was really happy yes the ceremony site looked beautiful
01:38everything was really well done and thank you guys for that it's thursday we have dog park night
01:44tonight we're all set for that chanel tom jill ellie but you guys are bartending that's an easy
01:51easy breezy party thursdays are our famous dog park night it feels like one of the most popular
01:57nights at the farm it's just like so many dogs it's so fun we also have a wedding coming up this
02:02weekend so let's talk about this couple for a second matthew and kalilah their backstory um they
02:08were high school sweethearts they have two beautiful boys together and you know life sort
02:13of got in the way of them getting married so they've been waiting for this for a very long time
02:18the groom's mother pamela was a regular at my very first restaurant in albany and i adore her
02:25so these guys have chosen the hilltop site for their ceremony the reception is going to be under
02:31the tent which we're going to deck out in white birch trees also pamela the mother's favorite
02:37she's going to have her glam squad getting her all decked out in timeless silver jewelry which i
02:42really think is going to look stunning with that pink rose bouquet she'll be holding and then meanwhile
02:47the groom will be getting ready in one of our new wellness huts so we have to get that finished like
02:53asap it's looking like it's gonna rain on saturday so i have to call the bride and discuss the rain plan
02:59with her but it's like a 97 chance holy look at all this rain in the next five days like literally
03:05all day long one of the things that's a little tricky about upstate new york is that we've had a
03:10very rainy spring but this is the truth we've actually never had one rain out for a wedding in
03:16the entire time that we've been doing weddings at june farms not once in like six years that's a fact so
03:22i mean i'm hoping that this wedding coming up doesn't get rained out but it looks like it is likely
03:27rain plan would be inside the tent um dinner and dancing are under the tent this weekend though
03:32when it comes to events at june farms the majority of the events that we handle are weddings but
03:36oftentimes i handle other things like graduation parties anniversaries birthday parties barn crawls
03:42dog park night family nights i love my job at june farms but it's hard at times
03:49i definitely need some assistance this year we'll find somebody all right wait me and ellie will be the
03:54assistance events is something that i want to do as a career and working with victoria kind of being
04:01under her wing you're going to help me do that okay i think we're all set let's have a good week
04:10did you want something well i was just gonna ask if you needed help with anything today i don't but
04:15those guys are setting up like um for dog park night i'm not sure what they would need okay okay
04:21thanks i feel like i don't have a place at june farms right now what this was the cool car
04:29there's definitely a clicky atmosphere at june farms but i'm interested in working
04:35events because my favorite part is watching the couple be like over the moon happy i think it's just

04:56dog park night we're gonna have 75 dogs on that's actually so exciting it's so cute you get to look
05:03at all their different personalities and the different owners and how they present them
05:08i'm so happy we're down here together this is our little sanctuary down dude it really is we're
05:13in our own little world but oh we got enough candles lit how are we looking here
05:22see my rainbow tattoo is that new kind of new i want to get more i want to get more tattoos like
05:26you throw them on my arm throw them everywhere feel super cute i don't know all these things are they
05:32cute i like them um i do need to ask her on a date in just a very casual way i've talked to ellie about
05:39it ellie just keeps telling me that jill's not a dating girl so should i like ask her on a date
05:45sometime she said something to me the other day where she was like um i think i'm interested in tom
05:50again and i was like oh yeah and she was like she's like yeah i don't know like there's no pressure to
05:55it but i don't know but the thing is is that if you go to her and be like listen this is the plan
06:00she's going to be like absolutely not she's always like let's go with the flow i mean i'll plan it but
06:05i'll just tell this all on the flow yeah you just need a man up and get it going i just get blushy
06:11i get blushed up i don't usually ever blush but it's about gel i don't know what it is can you just
06:15get one more knife so we're not like waiting for a knife for each other because that's kind
06:20of my pet peeve waiting on i hate waiting for a tool
06:34we took the boat out when you were in miami right yeah wasn't it so amazing it was great
06:38it was really great let's go how's the farm been for you this year it's been stressful
06:45it's tough to build and stain a deck when it's pouring out all week there were a lot of challenges
06:52that made the whole project more difficult we have both been saying something's not right with josh
06:58and i've been worried about you so we've all been trying to elevate this farm to a five-star spot
07:03and josh has let me down so i thought it would be a good idea to take him out in the boat to have
07:08some fun have some drinks or do something that is casual and relaxing and then we talk about the stuff
07:13that i want to talk about victoria and josh i work with the most but josh is like my you know guy i
07:20want him to get his spark back you aren't good at saying i need help you aren't good at saying like
07:26i'm hurting you're a big fan of holding it in and being quiet and not talking about it and just
07:33imploding to me you've always been the heart of the farm and for me to see you for the past couple
07:38years kind of flounder and go through a hard time has been hard for me when my marriage was coming
07:43to a conclusion that whole that phase of my life i felt like i was kind of dying oh my god i was
07:55inside so it was really the most heartbreaking thing i've seen in a very long time and just felt
08:01so sad for you yeah i met my ex-wife right around the same time as i took the job working for matt
08:09i noticed that she would get home from work later and later and wouldn't make eye contact with me
08:16it seemed like her attention was drifting elsewhere so that was the beginning of the
08:21end and the relationship deteriorated from there did she apologize to you she
08:26did okay yeah she she apologized he told me that yeah oh that's something because you need closures
08:36after the breakup i'm sad and lonely and i've got a huge hole in my life
08:44he's had a rough couple years and look at how much he's accomplished too how much he's grown he's grown
08:48tremendously i feel like i've been through the ringer and that i'm a stronger person because of it
08:57so that's good it feels like even though we were so busy and had so much going on at the farm taking
09:03josh out on that boat was a good call because we connected and had a great conversation hopefully josh
09:09gets his head in the game because i need everyone there to be at their best i just don't understand
09:14why you're not at the bar meeting all the gorgeous girls there yeah

10:15to the next level seems like your work cut out more than most and what's dangerous is she's got her
10:21best friend here too so anything i say here she's gonna know anything she knows she's gonna know so
10:26i'm dealing with like smarter than i thought most men don't really understand that concept so like

11:13the chickens keep eating my grass seed every time i put it down over here
11:19is there any way that you can put a little bit of chicken wire fencing up around this it's gonna
11:24rain the next like few days so i just want to get all this grassy down today we're using this for a
11:28ceremony thank you very much about your grass obsession i don't think of my grass interest as an obsession
11:39i think it's healthy and normal to want an amazing lawn i just want every single patch of the entire
11:50farm to just look lush and stunning beautiful grass everywhere while i'm using like not normal grass seed
11:57it's like fast acting i think if you don't have an amazing lawn it looks like you don't have your life
12:03together bye frank i'm still new and getting to know everyone and like learn my way at the farm
12:19but i need to make a little bit more of an effort to talk to people it's just not easy when it's in the
12:25middle of work hi how are you so i want to grab dinner with victoria and like talk about working
12:33in events with her here excited to get out of the farm i know how's it been going so far
12:42pretty good yeah yeah i mean it's definitely like a new environment i feel like some of the people are
12:48a little bit like clicky with each other so it's been kind of hard to like adjust in that way but i think
12:53it kind of comes from like a lot of them have been around since the beginning yeah a lot of them
12:58are friends outside of work so it makes it really hard to like come in and kind of get into the crowd
13:02so i totally know what you mean yeah once i found out that you were like newer it was like kind of
13:07more settling oh at least like someone else hasn't been there forever yeah so how was your day it was
13:13insane i ended up losing track of time and was rushing to get to the farm and my phone was blowing up
13:18with texts phone calls emails everything then i got to the farm and we had an event going on so i'm
13:24just a little all over the place but i mean i really need help like swamped no i know it's hard
13:30with matt because he's just so specific about how he likes things which is totally fine it's his business
13:35and his venue but it's like when i started all the chairs had to be at a certain angle and stuff like
13:39that and those are just like little things that matt likes the lighting levels the sound level so i would
13:44get yelled at for something i didn't even know was a rule so i have a whole document too that i keep
13:49track of every time that gives me a new rule i add it in my document so i can keep track of it
13:54not only do i need help i need reliable help i've worked a lot of events in the past i've done
14:01huge like bridal showers and baby showers and stuff but i've never done like a wedding would you have
14:06any interest in like getting into events a little bit more yeah definitely i think leah has a lot of
14:10potential i can see that she's definitely interested in events i think she just needs
14:15someone to take her under their wing and just kind of guide her we kind of get you on the event side
14:19of things i can kind of run through how we do things at june farms what it looks like the things
14:23that are going through my mind throughout the day too so that will kind of like help you pick up on
14:27those things but i think that might be a great place to start if you're open to it the event sounds
14:32super crazy busy but like i'm excited to learn and also like i think that the farm is gonna grow
14:41exponentially and there's a lot of opportunity for growth for myself i would eventually like to be
14:47in a spot similar to victoria events it's where i feel like i can just like serve the most purpose
14:54i'm excited for this plan i think it'll be good if we get you in and then go from there yeah that

15:24it's the day before the wedding and to add to the pressure we're opening the wellness house for the
15:28first time for the groomsmen and get ready in them it was a huge project and i am finishing
15:33up myself this is what i do at june farms i do everything june farms hi i was calling about the
15:40barn crawl on saturday how long does it take to see all the animals it really depends on how long you
15:46want to spend with each animal and how long you want to talk to the bartender i would give yourself
15:50at least two hours okay all right that's what i wanted to know thank you you're welcome i just worry
15:55that it won't be as great if i'm not so controlling with every little detail i guess oh that's fun
16:25you're welcome working at june farms and owning june farms it takes over my life it has become my life
16:32and it takes so much of my time and i have very little time to myself and a personal life so when
16:37my boyfriend mike shows up to see me it makes me happy and it calms me down and i just love it when
16:41he spends time with me at the farm what's up how's it going how's it going what's going on you too
16:47well we met almost two years ago to the day um where at your lake house just randomly you just
16:52showed up randomly we just met randomly online on a a common dating app are you so embarrassed
16:58i won't mention shall we yeah okay we'll be back we're gonna grab the golf carts i mean he's super
17:04handsome obviously and then i was introduced to this whole world we were drinking and i saw all the
17:08animals and the whole the whole world was just like so glamorous and amazing and and i think
17:13i was just drawn into it yeah it is i mean it's a glamorous farm look at the trees we put in there
17:18they're birch trees does look nice gorgeous i know
17:22what's up help me up can i just say what's on my mind yeah i don't like when you just spring it on
17:35me that you're not that you're going away i have two days off i look forward to seeing you it's just
17:39like all i ask for is a conversation about it because it's like i was hoping to like go on the
17:43lake and take the boat out i told you this last week that you're going away to new york city no no no no
17:49i was born and raised in queens and when the pandemic hit i came to the hudson valley to
17:53quarantine at my parents place and i happened to meet matt and i feel like i fell in love very
18:01quickly i'm being needy i get it but it's just like i only have two days off and i was like looking
18:04forward to like stunning but there were ups and there were downs and we would break up and we would
18:09get back together and it became a little more rocky yeah just think about it can you just think about it
18:15sure but i did say a week ago that that's what i was doing just just for the record i mean is there
18:19anything pressing going on down there no no of course that's what i mean yeah
18:25we'll talk about it i feel like we're just on very different pages in our life i mean he's much
18:30younger you know he likes to be a little bit more socially active and like traveling around the world
18:34it's just like not my favorite thing to do the farm takes a lot out of me especially socially
18:39so when i'm not at the farm i just kind of like want to chill but listen mike is one of my favorite
18:45people on the planet i love spending my time with him i told you the other day like don't sweat
18:51little things you gotta just chill out oh i know but you say that always right before you deliver
18:55something that's gonna annoy me but you should give me always like you should give me a pass on
18:59little things it's not like the end of the world it's not little to me because it's like i only have so
19:03many days off and i would like to spend them with you i mean i would like to spend my free time with
19:06you it's a compliment thank you appreciate it ditto
19:25this is pam she's the mother of the groom can you help her with the cooler yep all right guys i'm gonna
19:32have everyone gather over here all right i'm following instructions now we're gonna run through
19:37the ceremony rehearsal right now in case of inclement weather the ceremony will be under the tent instead
19:42of up here i'll have you guys walk down together my job at june farms is like the most fun job in the
19:49world but also the most stressful job in the world this is my second season here and matt has never had
19:54somebody in this role come back for part two have you ever been a flower girl before are you excited

20:12i'm newly married this march and i really haven't got to spend any time with my husband
20:16since coming back for this season and it feels impossible to have a work-life balance
20:22while being here you guys can go down and then just go off to the right hand side for me
20:28and then once they're all the way down and off to the side you guys will meet in the middle and just
20:34walk down together kiss and then we're done yep by 3 45 we'll want to have you hidden away in the pony barn

20:49thank you for bringing me to capricio my home i know i love this place cheers i need just some like
20:57one-on-one time with you and just uh get all my crazy thoughts out of my head and just relax so i'm
21:02excited for this it's just getting everything ready for weddings and it's just getting it all
21:07done no no no everyone's good it's just it's all good it's just busy i usually don't drink but i'm
21:12like had two glasses you keep saying this every day well because i'm with you i'm driving you to
21:18drink all of everybody's driving me to drink i've known tess for 25 years this week tess is helping me
21:27with the weddings like she usually does she is my consigliere with any problems that i have just
21:32calms me down and is a person that i can talk to about the problems that i'm having at work and in
21:38my personal life i feel like you brought me here for my first time yeah and i'm glad that you bring
21:42people here because this is my home i love michael me too you driving him nuts i think i am driving him
21:50nuts i mean i feel like i'm always driving him nuts you're hard to read am i yes why you beat and
21:59switch you change your mind all the time true you're moving too fast nobody knows what you're
22:05thinking right he does say that a lot he says that oh my god he feels like it was like he feels
22:12like he's on a roller coaster ride yeah he'll say we're gonna do this and this and this and then you
22:16switch yeah i think he's too nice to you i know you always say that is he does he tell you to go
22:24yourself no i think he's too nice to you because it has been so crazy at the farm like i mean just
22:35constantly moving and moving and moving and i feel like mike is so calm and when i think part of him
22:41likes the fact that i'm so like so opposite of him and i think what i love most about him is also how
22:46opposite he is of me i worry that like he'll just get over it i'm more worried about you feeling
22:52that way i lose interest very quickly i think straight people have like a seven-year itch i think
22:57gay people have like a two-year itch i think two years in i'm kind of like
23:03i just don't want to feel like i'm trapped and that's the word i'm going to use by choice
23:07i have to start making different efforts to like be a better boyfriend to him for sure
23:11i just am not good in relationships that's because your longest relationship has been me
23:16and my longest relationship has been you that's true
23:28i know we've never had a rain out for a wedding so it's the first time that i've ever had to
23:49change the original plan it's gonna be a challenge the new plan is to have it in the event tent it's
23:55not my favorite because it's kind of basic we'll just have to make the event tent look as gorgeous
23:59as we can possibly do gets so much extra pressure because the ceremony's at five and it's raining
24:06so just trying to not move so many tables so that we have enough time to flip the ceremony and not run
24:12past cocktail hour thinking it would be a lot easier to line all the tables perfectly in a row and
24:17use these chairs right and that would give us a lot more space than moving the tables with the chairs
24:22would be easier i just don't want it to look sad in pictures like why are there no chairs around
24:27the tables look she made this floor plan no way that we can make the ceremony in this little space
24:31however just get married right here and like keep the table set up our hour you can fit 50 people
24:36here and 50 people there i would be so game for that okay yeah we got it i think that's nice agreed
24:43that's why we're so good at this i liked his idea leighton and matt clearly have a history of being
24:51friends but being the head of events everybody that's scheduled on an event i'm in charge of that
24:57staff for the day all right do we want to slide tables and do rows of 12. do i have a choice
25:05i know that leighton has been you know with the farm since the beginning no i feel like that's too
25:12tight yeah that's too much like you smelling the breath of the person reading that i'd love to be
25:16sitting right there man sometimes leighton has been annoying to me she doesn't want anyone walking
25:24on this except for her then they can get to the chairs on the other side how many bridesmaids are there
25:30okay i have faith in victoria i know that she can handle any weather condition and she has asked
25:39leah and jill to help her with the wedding and of course we have leighton there to help break down
25:43tables do setup and anything else pretty much that victoria needs him to do for this wedding
25:48should i bring two bottles of prosecco or one two two yeah more merrier so
25:53we have to do the reserve signs on these and then we need to cut this aisle runner to length
26:01this is gonna look really pretty but i feel really good about this can i do like a cluster in front of
26:07like the welcome sign here and maybe at the end of the aisle just to add a little something bring all
26:11of them like you hear that can you grab some lanterns here come out um to your right yeah
26:19yeah you know events is something that i want to do and i watch my best friend and i watched some
26:26other random girl that just got brought in doing what i could be doing and i don't like it it makes
26:33me jealous and i feel like i can do this better you know

27:33really good job okay go take a peek the opening those wellness huts are beautiful and we have our
27:55first guest there and i care so much about the experience for the bride and the groom wow look

28:09they look back at this wedding at june farms that it is exactly what they wanted up back you got a
28:13little sauna in the morning when you're hung over oh yeah so i think they were a success that's awesome i

31:25never had this happen before there's no room for error on our end so for a bride to just be like

31:45yeah oh i'm just used to sticking to a schedule so i get nervous where are the girls at they're
31:50ready for photos they're ready for photos they should be heading down any minute and it's like
31:59they're gonna miss cocktail hour and everything
32:05i just put down hydro seed over here yesterday i'm so excited for the rain
32:09and fresh grass seed yeah
32:14she knows that her guests have been sitting down here since 3 30 waiting to get married it's the most
32:19humid day being late and screw up your entire rest of the day the kitchen is on a timeline all of your
32:27vendors on a timeline she just has absolutely no sense of urgency okay 5 30
32:37i would be losing my mind if i was late for my own wedding

32:52we're supposed to be in the bar and fair cocktail hour right now

33:34the most beautiful part of the journey is reflecting on how you weather the storms while driving up the
33:39mountains each new destination should be exciting together and you should know that with faith this

34:43dinner and i only have an hour oh if you get it set up for dinner i forgot i didn't realize yeah after
34:47this yeah quick turnaround now that the ceremony is over it's time to flip the tent from the ceremony
34:52setup to the dinner setup it's a very fast turnaround and we ended up going with matt's plan which of
34:58course made things harder because we had more tables to move than where i originally wanted
35:02to set people up and then we'll come up a little bit like right here it is nice having leah there
35:07she's been super helpful just having somebody by my side all day um and kind of teaching her what i'm
35:12doing to kind of shape her mold her into hopefully a future event coordinator to help out at the fun

35:20the fact that i'm here and i'm watching other people do something that i wanted to do i'm getting
35:36miserable and angry and upset i'll smoke with you yeah let's go

37:34the wedding was very very very stressful but we made it through
37:41i love having leah's help i'm able to like leave her alone and she doesn't stand around like

37:57without her because it was so much stuff they brought in yeah i'm glad it's done we got through
38:02it in those experiences like when the rain's coming down and like you don't have an opportunity to

38:11crushing it with us and like making it happen and the bride and groom comes in and we're just delivering

41:14just like hate this dynamic like i just hate that yeah it's like it's toxic but at the same
41:20time i don't want you to not do your job because i'm but hurt i know that i'm jealous and i'm but
41:25hurt it's the self-awareness but i don't know i'm a jealous i'm gonna get over it like i just ask
41:31that you do communicate because i really don't mean to hurt your feelings ever that's the thing is
41:36that that's why i feel so bad because like i don't want to have to have it come out like this if

42:34they were very happy the tent looked gorgeous everyone had a great time it's actually one of
42:39the most fun weddings that i remember having i would consider this a success two thumbs up
