00:00This is an iconic appetizer that's perfect for the holidays.

00:03I'm making Cheese Dudes.

00:04Start out with freshly shredded cheddar cheese.

00:07I'm gonna toss this with flour, salt,

00:09and a little crushed red pepper.

00:10Cheese Dudes are actually a popular appetizer

00:13that goes by many different names,

00:15but I was inspired to bring it back

00:17when I saw the guy call it Cheese Dudes.

00:19Woo!

00:20It just has a ring to it.

00:21Then you're gonna add in one cup of butter.

00:24You wanna cut it in.

00:24The easiest way to do that is with a cheese grater.

00:26Grate some and then toss a little at a time.

00:28In goes two cups of Rice Krispies.

00:30And then you knead this with your hands until it forms a dough.

00:32Once it starts coming together,

00:34add it to a surface and finish kneading it.

00:36Roll them into logs and then slice and bake.

00:38Pop them in the oven 300 degrees for about 30 minutes.

00:41You could also roll them in parchment or wax paper

00:43and keep them in the fridge,

00:44then just slice and bake when you have company.

00:47That little crispy cheesy bottom is what it's all about.
