00:00Marjorie Trader Green. I don't think her life is in danger. I don't think, frankly, I don't think anybody cares about her.
00:08The mayor of New York, I will say, would like to meet with us and we'll work something out.
00:13But he would like to come to Washington and meet and we'll work something out.
00:17We want to see everything work out well for New York. Very tough. Sanctioning, et cetera, et cetera, on any country doing business with Russia.
00:26They may add Iran to that, as you know, I suggested it.
00:30And I actually told Marco and some of the people, our secretary of state is doing a great job, by the way.
00:35I said, go to Congress and let them know we're not letting drugs come through Mexico.
00:40We're not letting them come through Venezuela and let Congress know about it.
00:45We don't have to get their approval, but I think letting them know is good.
00:49Okay, everybody, we had a great weekend. From an economic standpoint, our prices are coming down very substantially on groceries and things.
01:00They're already at a much lower level than they were with the last administration.
01:04And we worked on it this weekend. And you're going to see some of the items that were a little bit higher.
01:09They were lower than the last administration, but a little bit higher.
01:12We're going to have some little price reductions and, in some cases, some pretty good ones.
01:17They used the affordability word. The affordability is much, much better with this.
01:23And again, I go to Walmart and other companies, and in every case, it's about 25 percent that a meal, a Thanksgiving meal and surroundings are 25 percent lower than it was under the Biden administration.
01:38That's a big fact. And that comes from Walmart and others that do that. Okay? Any questions?
01:44Any update on Venezuela, Mr. President? On Venezuela update?
01:48No, no update on Venezuela.
01:50The designation of that cartel associated with Maduro, does that mean that the U.S. government can target Maduro's assets or infrastructure inside Venezuela?
02:02It allows us to do that, but we haven't said we're going to do that. And we may be discussing — we may be having some discussions with Maduro, and we'll see how that turns out.
02:15They would like — they would like to talk.
02:18Mr. President, Representative Massey says he's concerned that the Epstein probe you are calling for could be a smokescreen to block the relief of more files. Is that the case?
02:28Well, I don't want to talk about it because fake news like you — you're a terrible reporter — and fake news like you, they just keep bringing that up to deflect from the tremendous success of the Trump administration.
02:40So a guy like Massey, his poll numbers are showing he's at 6 percent approval rating right now. And we call him Rand Paul Jr. because he never — he never votes for the Republican Party.
02:52So they're using Jeffrey Epstein as a deflection from the tremendous success that we're having as a party.
02:59Mr. President, on Venezuela — you said they want to talk. You said Venezuela wants to talk. What does that mean?
03:04Mr. Venezuela would like to talk. What does it mean? You tell me. I don't know.
03:08Mr. Do you want to talk to them?
03:10Mr. I would talk — I'd talk to anybody. I'd talk to you, right? I'd talk to anybody. We'll see what happens.
03:15The Pressure Green said her life could be in danger because of the rhetoric.
03:19Mr. Her life is in danger? Who's that?
03:22The Pressure Green.
03:24Mr. Marjorie Trader Green. I don't think her life is in danger. I don't think — frankly, I don't think anybody cares about her. Okay, what about —
03:33The Pressure Green. What about —
03:34The Pressure Green. What about the affordability of health care? Are you negotiating — are you negotiating with lawmakers on health care ahead of a vote next —
03:40Mr. I am negotiating with lawmakers. And I've had personal talks with some Democrats — I can't tell you who they are. I just don't want to do that. It's not fair to them —
03:50about paying large amounts of dollars back to the people. You know, this was my idea. It came up during that —
03:59that, you know, oftentimes, in — under times of stress, like the shutdown, you come up with great ideas that you wouldn't have thought of before. The insurance companies are making a fortune. Their stock is up over 1,000 percent over a short period of time. They are taking in hundreds of billions of dollars. And they're not really putting it back, certainly not like they should. So, when I see this, and when I've seen this over the last pretty short period of time, I said, why do we —
04:01why don't we just pay — why don't we just pay? This is a 2014 —
04:07would we have $2,000,000,000,000. I know, $3,000,000,000. I mean, $37,000,000,000.
04:29Why don't we just pay this money directly to the people of our country
04:33and let them buy their own health insurance?
04:37And, you know, I made that statement.
04:38I made it a little bit cavalierly, but it sounded good.
04:42And everybody is picked up, including Democrats.
04:45And I am talking to some Democrats right now about doing that.
04:49People love it.
04:51We're going to take the money.
04:52Well, if it gets approved, we're going to take the money.
04:54We're going to pay it back to the people of our country to go out and buy health insurance.
05:00Now, they could put it in a health account.
05:02We could do it a lot of different ways.
05:04But they'd buy their own health insurance.
05:06They could negotiate price.
05:09And it's going to be locked, so they can't go out and buy a Cadillac.
05:13They could go out and buy health insurance.
05:16Is it time for Congress to move legislation that puts pressure on Russia, that puts pressure on Putin?
05:25Well, I hear they're doing that, and that's okay with me.
05:28They're passing legislation or putting...
05:31The Republicans are putting in legislation that's very tough.
05:37Sanctioning, et cetera, et cetera, on any country doing business with Russia.
05:42They may add Iran to that, as you know.
05:44I suggested it.
05:46So any country that does business with Russia will be very severely sanctioned.
05:52We may add Iran to the formula.
05:54Yeah.
05:55Mr. President, Tucker Carlson recently had a Front League interview with anti-Semite Nick Quentes.
06:00What role do you think Tucker Carlson could play in the Republican Party and the conservative movement going forward?
06:06Well, I found him to be good.
06:08I mean, he said good things about me over the years.
06:10I think he's good.
06:12We've had some good interviews.
06:13I did an interview with him.
06:15We've had 300 million hits.
06:17You know that.
06:20Look, I can't tell him...
06:23Should he be?
06:24Will you let me finish my statement?
06:26You are the worst.
06:27You're with Bloomberg, right?
06:29You are the worst.
06:30I don't know why they even have you.
06:34We've had some great interviews with Tucker Carlson.
06:36But you can't tell him who to interview.
06:38I mean, if he wants to interview Nick Fuentes, I don't know much about him.
06:42But if he wants to do it, get the word out.
06:44Let him...
06:45You know, people have to decide.
06:46Ultimately, people have to decide.
06:49The mayor of New York, I will say, would like to meet with us and we'll work something out.
06:53But he would like to come to Washington and meet and we'll work something out.
06:57We want to see everything work out well for New York.
07:00You yourself had dinner with Nick Fuentes at Mar-a-Lago a few years ago.
07:03What role should he play in the conservative movement?
07:05Well, I didn't know he was coming.
07:07And he was with, as you know, somebody.
07:09Kanye.
07:11And Kanye asked if he could have dinner.
07:12And he brought Nick.
07:13I didn't know Nick at the time.
07:15And he did.
07:18He came along with a few other people.
07:19He brought a few people with him.
07:21Meeting people, talking to people, like, for somebody like Tucker, that's what they do.
07:28You know, people are controversial.
07:30Some are, some aren't.
07:31I'm not controversial, so I like it that way.
07:34In Venezuela, are you discussing options with Congress?
07:38Are you going to Congress to discuss potential options you're considering?
07:42I'd like to keep Congress involved.
07:44I mean, we're stopping drug dealers and drugs from coming into our country.
07:49And I actually told Marco and some of the people, our secretary of state is doing a great job, by the way.
07:54I said, go to Congress and let them know we're not letting drugs come through Mexico.
08:00We're not letting them come through Venezuela.
08:02And let Congress know about it.
08:04We don't have to get their approval.
08:06But I think letting them know is good.
08:08The only thing I don't want them to do is leak information that's very important and confidential
08:13and may put our military at risk or whoever is doing, you know, CIA, military, et cetera.
08:20But I did say, I said, go and see Congress, see the representatives that were supposed to be seeing,
08:27and be open about it.
08:28If they say, we don't want you to stop drugs from coming into the country, I don't think that would be good.
08:35Yes.
08:35Are many other countries committed to helping the U.S. with Venezuela?
08:40Or is all our actions still...
08:42Yeah, we have great support because it's all about drugs.
08:45Well, in Venezuela's case, it's about drugs.
08:47And it's also about thousands, hundreds of thousands of people that they've released into our country.
08:54And some are gang members from Trente de Aragua.
08:57Some are drug...
08:59Many are drug dealers.
09:00Some are murderers.
09:02So in the case of Venezuela, it's about...
09:04It's the prison population.
09:06Their almost entire prison population was released into the United States.
09:12Do you know what that means?
09:13Their prison population was released into the United States.
09:19And we're getting it out.
09:20We're doing an amazing job.
09:22We have a strong border now.
09:23We have everything.
09:24Our country is doing so well.
09:25But what the Biden administration did to our country should never be forgotten.
09:30And the single worst thing they did is allow 20 or 25 million people to pour into our country.
09:38People from prisons, drug dealers, mental institutions.
09:43Bad people, gang members.
09:45To allow that to happen to the United States, totally unchecked and unvetted, should never be forgotten.
09:53What they've done to our country is a very big thing.
09:55But we are correcting it.
09:57We have strong borders now.
09:59We have a great economy.
10:01The prices are coming down.
10:02The Democrats like to use the word affordability, but their affordability was terrible.
10:09The problem with the Democrats, they lie.
10:10They do it so well.
10:11They talk about affordability.
10:13But I'm the one that's getting the prices down.
10:15As an example, they had the highest inflation in the history of our country.
10:21I have it down now to a normal level, and it's going down further.
10:24Thank you very much, everybody.
