00:00What if we told you that Delhi's toxic air is not just harming kids, it is literally
00:10shrinking their future. New research shows children growing up in Delhi are at a risk
00:14of dying earlier, scoring lower in school and facing lifelong health problems because
00:18of the pollution they breathe every single day. Doctors say kids here inhale as much
00:22smoke as if they were smoking several cigarettes daily. This affects their brain development
00:26which means lower IQ, poor concentration and weaker memory. It also damages their lungs
00:31and heart making asthma, chronic cough and infections a regular part of childhood. And
00:35it doesn't stop there. Polluted air affects height, weight, even mental health. Parents
00:40are reporting more irritability and anxiety in kids during high pollution weeks. Schools
00:44are struggling too because children simply cannot focus or attend classes regularly. So
00:49the question is, if this is the cause that children are paying, how long before Delhi treats clean
00:54air like the emergency it actually is.
