00:00I think that's probably a good place to start with a guy that did make some headlines this week,
00:04A.J. Brown, on a stream saying that they get rid of him in fantasy football for good reason.
00:10He's been one of the most traded wide receivers in fantasy this year, George. He has 54 targets,
00:1431 receptions, 408 yards, three touchdowns. Now, I will say this. There's like a half a season of
00:21fantasy to go, okay? If not 50%, 40%. And we have short memories, and this could be a
00:29creation of a final run here, which makes him great. It's just there's really no indication
00:35of that. And for him to be saying these sort of things, by the way, I don't care. It doesn't
00:38affect me whatsoever. But I mean, for a player that's on a team, that's so good to talk like
00:44this. You don't see it that often. It's weird, right? All right. He's not putting up any kind
00:49of numbers, which is what's upsetting him. All right. But they're winning games. And he said it
00:53in his podcast the other day that he did there. I'm not apologizing. I was talking with my friends
00:58here that he not only wants to win, but he wants to help the team win. He doesn't feel
01:02like he's doing that. All right. Whatever. My problem is this. You probably spent, what,
01:07second or third round pick on him. You try and trade him right now, you're not getting
01:10anywhere near that value. He's not doing anything. But Craig, I mean, look at his schedule coming
01:15up. Detroit. Detroit may be a great team. The secondary is not good. Then they play the
01:19Cowboys, who don't have a secondary. Then the Bears, not good. Chargers, secondary is not
01:25great either. Raiders, Commanders, Bills. All right. I mean, if you play week 18, it's the
01:31Commanders again. All right. Even though he may not play that game. But I mean, that is a schedule
01:36that says we're putting up points at will. I mean, what I'm trying to say is even as frustrating as
01:43AJ Brown is, and maybe I don't start him this week. I guess I can sort of see him that I'm not giving
01:47him away for 60 cents on the dollar for someone I'm not going to use. I mean, I'm just not going to do
01:51that. I got to hope he snaps out of it. All right. Although I'm also the first person to tell you
01:55this. The last time he mouthed off like this and we're like, oh, squeaky wheel will get the grease
01:59this Sunday. Let's go. Didn't happen. It didn't happen. He still had a bad game. So still, I think
02:06unless I get a player that's useful that I can need on my fantasy team, I'm not trading him away for
02:11any, you know, like I said, 60 cents on the dollar. I'm not doing it. Yeah. It seems like we could be
02:16headed down a similar road with Justin Jefferson, who, you know, certainly signed that long-term
02:21extension, but did not sign up for this 686 yards, two touchdowns. Again, there's a lot of season to
02:27play. Jefferson could end up George with 1200 yards and seven touchdowns and it'd be a down year, but it
02:33wouldn't be a disaster. The numbers right now are him averaging between 10 and 12 fantasy points over
02:38the course of the season. I'm a little bullish still. I still feel like the offense kind of runs
02:43through him, why he's not catching the ball on the targets that he's throwing. I'm not sure.
02:49Definitely does not have that combo at all, at all with JJ McCarthy at a better one. I think with
02:54Carson Wentz, it seems like Wentz, George knew, hey, I got to get this guy the ball. He's the best
02:59playmaker on the field. So I don't think we're quite at a breaking point, George, with him,
03:04but you know, I, I, I was looking at maybe in a keeper league trading for him. I don't know if that
03:09is the right move, but I still feel like there could be more coming here. Oh, once again, he's
03:14not bitching or he's actually taking the correct approach here. Uh, or it's a team friendly
03:18approach. He's not complaining. And you mentioned his numbers actually at the end of the year may
03:21look pretty solid. Maybe not JJ numbers, uh, but still good, good numbers here. We don't,
03:27we have to grade this on a curve. McCarthy's made four starts for crying out loud. All right. He
03:32should get better. He should. You, it might take a little bit. And I'm the first person to tell
03:36you that he's very good on the scripted, the first 15 plays where they're scripted where
03:40he's practicing them all week. Very good. And after that, he tails off, right? He's got
03:44a gun for an arm. He can make all the throws here. He just doesn't always know where they're
03:47going. You know, that sort of thing. Once again, the schedule here, especially during
03:51the fantasy playoffs. So if you're going to acquire Jefferson, you get, you know, another
03:54month to really get in, get in tune with McCarthy. And then during the fantasy playoffs,
03:59Dallas Giants, Detroit. Now Detroit's secondary could be fixed by then, but man, Dallas
04:06and Johnny is probably not. I mean, that's a nice little logo, a little go-go there to
04:11get you to a championship game. Assuming they can fix things that are really aren't totally
04:15broken right now. They're not working perfectly, but they're not totally broken. I'd want to
04:19buy JJ.
