00:00Scott, what do you think? I mean, first of all, do you agree with the characterization of Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Nick Fuentes being a destructive far right element within the GOP?
00:13I would not say that it's so much of a destructive far right element to question Israel and other things, because they're trying to lump in all these different groups that a lot of the old guard conservatism have problems with, that it's not just relating to Israel, it's also relating to questions of immigration and even other certain topics that they have not wanted to discuss on any other matter.
00:34And you've already seen this with some of the right wing civil war is that recently, a former board member who is leader of the powerful conservative group or an influential conservative group called ISI made this stunning declaration saying that conservatism needs to clear out all these different people who question all the conservative platitudes of the past that we have to just stick to Bill Buckley and limited government and free market worship.
01:00And we can't do anything else. So the real problem is people like Patrick Deneen, who has no, he's not an extremist of any sort, but he questioned some of the conservative platitudes of the past that we need to eliminate these people.
01:14And a lot of other certain personalities of Ben Shapiro and Mark Levin are trying to have a cold clear out of new right elements over this fight.
01:24And it's, and even though Chavez is saying that you can't, that there's no conservative who's demanding unquestionable loyalty for Israel, that's not quite true because Mark Levin and Ted Cruz and many others are saying this, that we cannot have any discussion over Israel within the right.
01:39And if you question Israel support for the right, and if you question Israel support for the right, that you're somehow not MAGA, and this is coming for many never Trumpers and people who didn't even bother to support Trump until the very end of the general election in 2024, you know, that's not really, that's not really the case.
01:54There are conservatives who are saying that they can't have a discussion.
01:57Now, in the mainstream, there is more discussion of this.
02:00That is true that the mainstream media is more willing to discuss and question America's relationship with Israel than it has been in the past.
02:08But in conservatism, many people on the other side who are very angry about Tucker Carlson and who he's interviewing with, with Nick Fuentes and Candace Owens, are also trying to demand that other people be purged for a lot of other reasons and simply, and they want to cease discussion on Israel.
02:25And Shabbos brings up Charlie Kirk, but Charlie Kirk wanted to have a free and open discussion of Israel, where neither side tried to cancel each other, even though it's really more one side that tries to cancel the other.
02:38But he wanted to have a free flowing discussion on this, where we don't try to purge people who question America's Israel support.
02:45And we try to build up a new right that actually looks to where new Americans, where not new Americans, but young Americans are on this issue.
02:53We're going to come to this idea of purging.
02:56If we're going to maintain the type of position on Israel that Ted Cruz wants, we are not going, we're going to have problems winning over young Americans in the future.
