A Palestinian refugee in Italy, Hazem Madi, has dismissed the latest U.S.-brokered ceasefire in Gaza as “nothing but ink on paper,” saying violence and blockades continue despite peace efforts. Madi lost 27 members of his family in an Israeli airstrike and was evacuated to Italy through a humanitarian corridor. He now fears the truce will collapse as aid remains restricted and bombing persists across Gaza.
