A well-known Palestinian journalist has been killed in Gaza City, just days after Israel and Hamas reached a ceasefire agreement.  Various media reports Saleh Aljafarawi, 28, was killed by members of an Israel-linked ‘militia’ fighting Hamas in the Sabra neighbourhood. 00:17Al Jazeera Arabic said Al Jafarawi was covering clashes in the city's Sabra neighborhood

00:22when he was killed by members of an armed militia affiliated with Israel.

00:28The Gaza government media office strongly condemned the assassination, calling it a direct result

00:33of Israel's policy of targeting Palestinian journalists through both airstrikes and proxy

00:39militias.

00:40Al Jafarawi gained prominence for his videos covering the war.

00:44His death comes as the fragile ceasefire enters a fourth day, with the expected release of

00:49Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners.

00:52More than 278 journalists and media workers have now been killed in Gaza since the start

00:58of Israel's war in October 2023.
