00:00Today on Media Miss Minute, despite threats from President Trump, New York's newly elected mayor says he wants to work with the White House for the good of the city.
00:09And a new investigation into whether the head of the Federal Housing Finance Agency improperly accessed the mortgage records of President Trump's political rivals.
00:21Welcome to Media Miss Minute. I'm Craig DeGrelli.
00:24And today we're looking at two stories missed or ignored by partisan media outlets.
00:30First, a story left-leaning outlets are overlooking.
00:33New York City's mayor-elect Zoran Mamdani is hitting the ground running, and he says one of his first calls will be to President Trump with the message of unity. Watch.
00:42Well, I'll say that I'm here to work for the benefit of everyone that calls the city home, and that wherever there is a possibility for working together towards that end, I'm ready.
00:51And if it's to the expense of those New Yorkers, I will fight it.
00:53Trump previously threatened to withhold federal funds if Mamdani won, while Mamdani, in his victory speech, vowed to stand up and take on Trump.
01:03Now to a story right-leaning outlets are mostly ignoring.
01:06The Wall Street Journal reports that Fannie Mae officials were fired after they began investigating whether Trump's housing finance chief used his position to dig into Democrats' mortgage records.
01:17Among the records he allegedly accessed, those belonged to New York Attorney General Letitia James, who is facing federal charges in a separate mortgage fraud case.
01:27She has pleaded not guilty.
