Dick Tracy vs. Cueball is a 1946 American action film based on the 1930s comic strip character of the same name created by Chester Gould. The film stars Morgan Conway as Dick Tracy in the second installment of the Dick Tracy film series released by RKO Radio Pictures. The villain, Cueball, is a murderous diamond thief who gets his nickname from his big, round head.

Plot: Expensive diamonds are stolen but before the thief can fence them he is strangled by ex-con Cueball, who then takes the gems and continues murdering people he believes are trying to swindle him. 00:03:13What I have...
00:03:14Give me them.
00:03:15Hurry up.
00:03:22Try anything like that again and I'll have to hurt you.
00:03:24I didn't come here to do that.
00:03:26All I want is the diamonds. Get them to me.
00:03:30Help, Persia!
00:03:31Help!
00:03:40Police Headquarters.
00:03:42Yeah?
00:03:43Mm-hmm.
00:03:45Where?
00:03:49No, Dick Tracy isn't here, but stay on the wire. I'll call his home.
00:03:52What's so important?
00:03:54The Harbor Detail reporting murder.
00:04:01Say, what goes on? You certainly are busy, Junior.
00:04:06I got things to do.
00:04:08Holy smoke!
00:04:09What's the matter?
00:04:10Somebody left the receiver off the look.
00:04:12I detect Tessa's fine hand in that little maneuver.
00:04:15Probably wanted to make sure that you wouldn't be called out tonight.
00:04:17Yeah, that's about it.
00:04:21Fuckin' the devil.
00:04:24Hello?
00:04:25Yes, Tracy speaking.
00:04:29What?
00:04:31Yes.
00:04:32Yes, Pier 30.
00:04:33Got it.
00:04:34We'll be right there.
00:04:36What is it, Dick?
00:04:37They've just reported a murder on the instance Palomar.
00:04:39She docked about an hour ago.
00:04:40Get your hat, Pat.
00:04:41What?
00:04:42Oh, Chief.
00:04:43Please explain to Tess.
00:04:44Tell her I'll see you later.
00:04:45Okay, Dick.
00:04:47A most effective entrance, my dear.
00:04:49I congratulate you on your sense of the dramatic.
00:04:53Friends, if I may have your attention...
00:04:55Skip it, Mr. Flinthart.
00:04:57Dick's gone.
00:04:58Gone?
00:04:59But that's impossible.
00:05:00I haven't...
00:05:01It was a homicide case, Tess.
00:05:03Junior found the receiver off the hook and...
00:05:05Oh, Junior.
00:05:13How about it, Mr. Tracy?
00:05:14Anything you want to tell us?
00:05:15Later, boys.
00:05:18Hey, Dick, Mr. Tracy.
00:05:25Is this the way everything was when you entered?
00:05:27Yes, sir.
00:05:31Well, it's quite obviously death by strangulation.
00:05:34Strangulation, huh?
00:05:36What about this?
00:05:39Probably the victims.
00:05:40Have it checked the fingerprints.
00:05:42He was undoubtedly trying to defend himself.
00:05:46Did Mr. Rabbit ever seem worried or afraid of anything?
00:05:48Why, no.
00:05:50He was always in a good mood.
00:05:52I believe he represented a custom jeweler.
00:05:55Oh, I see from these papers.
00:05:59Captain Mason.
00:06:00You mentioned Mr. Rabbit's telling about his search for rare jewels.
00:06:03Yes.
00:06:04Did he ever happen to mention any that he was bringing with him on this trip?
00:06:07Why, no.
00:06:08Excuse me, sir.
00:06:09But Mr. Rabbit did have a package checked in the safe.
00:06:11I gave it to him shortly before we docked.
00:06:13Pat, get Jules Sparkle's home address and meet me in the car.
00:06:16Okay.
00:06:22You can get yourself a few pictures now, boys.
00:06:24Thanks very much, Mr. Tracy.
00:06:25I called Sparkle's house and...
00:06:26I called his house.
00:06:27All I wanted was his address.
00:06:28I wanted to surprise him.
00:06:29But Tracy, the name who answered the phone, I think it was Mrs. Sparkle.
00:06:30Said he was at his office in the Coburn building.
00:06:31Did you say who you were?
00:06:32No.
00:06:33You think I'm dumb?
00:06:34Well, we won't go into that.
00:06:35Come on, let's get going.
00:06:36Well, I...
00:07:05Oh, I was expecting someone else.
00:07:08Are you Jules Sparkle?
00:07:09Yes.
00:07:10I'm Dick Tracy, Homicide Squad.
00:07:12Homicide Squad?
00:07:13Uh-huh.
00:07:14My secretary, Miss Clyde.
00:07:17How do you do?
00:07:18Mr. Patton.
00:07:19Hello, Miss Clyde.
00:07:20How do you do?
00:07:21Mr. Sparkle, I've just come from the SS Palomar.
00:07:24Your representative, Lester Rabbit, was found in his stateroom and murdered.
00:07:27Abbott murdered?
00:07:28Uh-huh.
00:07:29I can't believe it.
00:07:31It seems so impossible.
00:07:33Abbott was not only a loyal employee, he was an old friend.
00:07:37How long had he worked for you?
00:07:38About 15 years.
00:07:40But I'd known him long before that.
00:07:44Oh, so sorry.
00:07:45I didn't mean to intrude.
00:07:46I heard voices.
00:07:48I thought Mr. Abbott was here.
00:07:50Another one of your employees?
00:07:52Yes.
00:07:53Our lapidary, Simon Little.
00:07:55Lapidary?
00:07:56A lapidary's a diamond cutter.
00:07:57Sure.
00:07:58What else could he be?
00:07:59You and your staff keep very unusual hours.
00:08:02Well, tonight it was quite necessary.
00:08:04We were all interested in the arrival of some diamonds.
00:08:07And I thought it would be more expedient to meet Mr. Abbott here rather than at the boat.
00:08:11I see.
00:08:12What was the value of the diamonds he was bringing back?
00:08:15The collection was insured for $300,000.
00:08:20I'd like a complete list of your employees.
00:08:22But Mr. Tracy, all of my people have been with me for years.
00:08:25I trust them implicitly.
00:08:26I realize that.
00:08:28But whoever killed Abbott knew about the diamonds.
00:08:30Knew the boat he was on.
00:08:31Knew his cabin number.
00:08:33Therefore, it is quite possible that someone in your firm may have supplied the necessary information.
00:08:38Very well.
00:08:39Mona, will you prepare a list, please?
00:08:41Certainly.
00:08:42I'll have it ready for you tomorrow, Mr. Tracy.
00:08:43I want it tonight.
00:08:45Well, it'll take quite a while.
00:08:46I can wait.
00:08:47All right.
00:08:48Well.
00:08:49Mr. Little, you may leave now if you like.
00:08:52Pardon me.
00:08:54Would you rather I stay, Mr. Sparkle?
00:08:56It won't be necessary.
00:08:58I can tell Mr. Tracy anything else you might want to know about Mr. Abbott and the diamonds.
00:09:03Yes, sir.
00:09:07Yeah?
00:09:08Do you mind running down to the car for those papers?
00:09:10Papers?
00:09:11Yeah, you know, those caches I made of Abbott's statement.
00:09:14Oh, those papers.
00:09:15Sure.
00:09:16I'll get them for you right away.
00:09:17Good night, Mr. Sparkle.
00:09:19Good night, Simon.
00:09:20Oh, thank you.
00:09:34Good night.
00:09:35Good night.
00:09:36Good night.
00:09:38I'm Adrian.
00:09:39Good night, sir.
00:09:40Good night.
00:09:41Good night.
00:09:42Can, would you
00:10:06Good evening, sir.
00:10:24Good evening, Rudolph.
00:10:26You're very late and still a little.
00:10:27Yes, much later than I expected.
00:10:30Is Mr. Priceless here?
00:10:31No, he telephoned to say that he was unavoidably detained and couldn't come tonight.
00:10:36Detained, purposely detained, leaving me to take the consequences.
00:10:40Mr. Little, cue ball is here.
00:10:45Here?
00:10:46Where is he?
00:10:47Downstairs, sir.
00:10:50Oh, I see.
00:10:52Very well, Rudolph.
00:10:53I'll have some more work for you next week.
00:10:56Thank you, sir.
00:10:57Good night.
00:10:58Good night, sir.
00:11:06Go ahead.
00:11:07Go ahead.
00:11:15You bow.
00:11:19You bow.
00:11:20Hello, Simon.
00:11:21Why, you...
00:11:22You fool.
00:11:24You big, stupid, blundering fool.
00:11:25Shut up.
00:11:26You killed him. You murdered Abbott. Why did you kill him? Why? Why?
00:11:30Because he was gonna plug me.
00:11:32Now, look. You and Priceless told me to meet you here to collect my 10 grand.
00:11:37Okay. I got the diamonds. Where's my dough?
00:11:40Keep the diamonds. Go to the chair with them. I won't touch them.
00:11:43Oh, yes, you will.
00:11:44There's blood on those stones.
00:11:46Nobody but you and me knows how it got there.
00:11:50Why did I have to get mixed up in a thing like this?
00:11:53The police can't blame me. Priceless came to me. I didn't go to him.
00:11:56He needed me. He needed me to recut the stones so they wouldn't be recognized.
00:12:00That's it. It was just a business deal.
00:12:02I didn't know there'd be stolen diamonds or that there'd be a murder.
00:12:06You rat.
00:12:08You're in this up to your ears just as much as I am.
00:12:11No, I... There must be something I can do.
00:12:14There's something you're gonna do, and that's pay me off.
00:12:16I'm staying right here till I get my dough.
00:12:19Yeah. Come to think of it, this joint would make a nice little hideout.
00:12:24Oh, no. You can't stay here.
00:12:26Who's gonna stop me?
00:12:27Oh, please, Cuba. The police. Dick Tracy.
00:12:29Dick Tracy? What about Tracy?
00:12:30Well, he's on the case, checking every one of Mr. Sparkle's employees.
00:12:33He might even come here.
00:12:35Yeah. Maybe you're right.
00:12:38Okay, I'll blow.
00:12:41But I'll get in touch with you or Priceless tomorrow for my 10 grand.
00:12:44Now get me out of here.
00:12:45Oh, yes. Gladly. Anything only. Just get out.
00:12:49Careful.
00:12:50This way.
00:12:52This leads to the storage room, to the street.
00:12:55Don't forget, pal. You better get to dough.
00:12:58Because one more killing ain't gonna make much difference.
00:13:15Oh.
00:13:16Don't, don't.
00:13:19Don't want to.
00:13:20Don't want to make much difference.
00:13:21Don't worry.
00:13:22Don't worry.
00:13:27Thanks for bringing me home, Mr. Tracy, and goodnight.
00:13:29Goodnight, Miss Clyde.
00:13:35Thanks for bringing me home, Mr. Tracy, and good night.

00:15:35Sorry, the shop's closed.
00:15:36I don't want to see the shop. I want to take a look at that note you picked up.
00:15:39Note?
00:15:40I'm from police headquarters.
00:15:43Oh, yes. Come in.
00:15:49I'm, uh, Percival Priceless, dealer in...
00:15:51A note of it, please.
00:15:52Oh, yes. The note.
00:15:54I, uh, haven't read it myself yet.
00:15:56I'll read it to you.
00:15:59Sorry I wasn't able to keep an appointment. We'll drop by tomorrow, MC.
00:16:03I'm afraid it's not as romantic as it sounds.
00:16:06One of my customers, uh, Miss Mona Clyde, asked me to be on the lookout for some, uh, some candlesticks.
00:16:12I located some this morning and called her. She said she'd be in this evening.
00:16:17Uh, these are the ones. Excuse me.
00:16:19Beautiful, aren't they?
00:16:21At least a hundred years old.
00:16:23If, uh, if you were expecting Miss Clyde, why didn't you let her in?
00:16:27Well, she should have been here at least two hours ago. I'd given her up.
00:16:30But you were still here.
00:16:31Yes, in my office, going over some accounts.
00:16:33I, uh, I thought I heard a noise out here and came out to investigate.
00:16:37That's when I saw the paper under the door.
00:16:39She must have thought it was too late.
00:16:41Oh, I see. Mind if I go in here?
00:16:47No, not at all. Please do.
00:16:49Thank you very much, Mr. Priceless.
00:17:03Not at all. Uh, if you don't mind, I'd rather like to know why my place has suddenly become of such interest to the police.
00:17:21Oh, it's just a routine checkup. Sorry to have bothered you. Good night.
00:17:27Good night.
00:17:28Good night.
00:17:30Good night.

00:18:04Filthy Flora still on this joint?
00:18:07Yeah.
00:18:08I wanna see her.
00:18:17Stop pressing that buzzer. I heard you the first time.
00:18:20Aye, indeed.
00:18:25Can't even count my manpiece.
00:18:27The lady's got no privacy in this joint.
00:18:30Oh.
00:18:31I'm coming.
00:18:32I'm coming.
00:18:33Take your time.
00:18:34I'm coming.
00:18:46Shut up, you.
00:18:47You've been playing that same song for an hour.
00:18:49He wants me to.
00:18:50I don't care what he wants.
00:18:51Play it again.
00:18:52Play it again.
00:18:53Play it again?
00:18:55Oh, of course he'll play it again.
00:18:58Lovely number, ain't it, dearie?
00:19:01Well, play it.
00:19:04Hello, Kathy.
00:19:05Hiya, Flora.
00:19:08Why, cue ball.
00:19:09Hiya, Flora.
00:19:10Fine. Give me a drink, Max.
00:19:11Okay.
00:19:14I thought they put you away for ten years.
00:19:16They did?
00:19:17Ten years.
00:19:18Time sure flies, don't it?
00:19:20Not where I was at, don't.
00:19:24That'll cost you.
00:19:26Same old Flora.
00:19:27What do you want of me?
00:19:29I want a place to live.
00:19:31You ain't the only one, dearie.
00:19:33Things have changed since you went away.
00:19:35Well, I've got a waiting list for everything in the joint, even the closets.
00:19:38I gotta have a place, Flora.
00:19:40I gotta have a place.
00:19:42I thought you just got out of jail.
00:19:44How'd you get in trouble so soon?
00:19:45It ain't trouble.
00:19:46I just want a place where I can meet somebody.
00:19:50Well, there's a room I reserve for special customers.
00:19:54I'll pay you for it.
00:19:55I'll pay you good.
00:19:56Ha!
00:19:57You're darn right you'll pay me good.
00:19:58Come on.
00:20:02Drink up, girls.
00:20:03Drink up.
00:20:05Go on in, cue ball.
00:20:14Get that chair out of the way.
00:20:35Lift it up.
00:20:42Where does that lead to?
00:20:43To a little room.
00:20:44That's where I kept fang-faced Martin hidden for weeks when the cops were looking for him.
00:20:48Thanks, Flora.
00:20:49That looks perfect.
00:20:50And since we're such good friends, dearie, I'm gonna make you a special rate for this room.
00:20:55500 bucks a night.
00:20:56500 bucks?
00:20:57Well, you dirty old bag out of...
00:20:59Never mind the compliments.
00:21:00Payable in advance.
00:21:02Flora, you know I can't pay that kind of dough.
00:21:05Not now.
00:21:06I just got out.
00:21:07Yeah, you just got out.
00:21:08You just got off a boat, too, didn't you, dearie?
00:21:11300 grand.
00:21:12What a dirty cheap double-crosser.
00:21:13I thought you had something to do with it.
00:21:14Yeah, I thought you could afford 500 bucks.
00:21:15You'll get your dough, Flora.
00:21:16And so will I.
00:21:17I ain't gonna collect 300 grand and pay me off with peanuts.
00:21:18Hi, Doc.
00:21:19Hello, Dick.
00:21:20Happen?
00:21:21Mm-hmm.
00:21:22Find anything that will help us, Doc?
00:21:23Not yet.
00:21:24I'll get your dough.
00:21:25I'll get your dough, Flora.
00:21:26And so will I.
00:21:27I ain't gonna collect 300 grand and pay me off with peanuts.
00:21:31I'll get your dough, Flora.
00:21:32I'll get your dough.
00:21:33I'll get your dough.
00:21:34I'll do the thing.
00:21:35Thanks, Doc.
00:21:36Hello, Dick.
00:21:37Happen?
00:21:38Mm-hmm.
00:21:39Find anything that will help us, Doc?
00:21:40Not yet.
00:21:42What happened to you?
00:21:44I, um, I don't know.
00:21:46You don't know?
00:21:47Well, you see, I was standing in front of Simon Little's place and boom!
00:21:51Oh, wait a little.
00:21:54I don't know.
00:21:55You don't know.
00:21:56Well, you see, I was standing in front of Simon Little's place,
00:22:00and boom, something hit me.
00:22:02And the next thing I know, I'm lying there on the street
00:22:04with a cop standing over me, trying to arrest me for vagrancy.
00:22:07Vagrancy?
00:22:08Yeah, and I argued with the guy for 20 minutes.
00:22:10You're sure it wasn't Simon Little who gave you?
00:22:12Oh, no.
00:22:13Not unless he dropped a basket of bricks, and that's what it felt like.
00:22:16Say, Dick, let's take a look at this.
00:22:20It might be important to us.
00:22:21I hope so.
00:22:23I, uh, found it embedded in Abbott's neck.
00:22:28Right over the...
00:22:30parotid gland.
00:22:32There you are.
00:22:36Looks like a piece of leather.
00:22:38That's right.
00:22:39I'd say that Abbott was strangled with a leather belt or a strap of some kind.
00:22:43I think you're right, Doc.
00:22:45At least now we've got something to work on.
00:22:47Yeah.
00:22:48Say, do you need me any more tonight?
00:22:50No, that's all. Thanks.
00:22:52Could.
00:22:53I can go home and get to bed early for a change.
00:22:55And, uh, you can put the silent one to bed early, too.
00:23:01Pat?
00:23:02Yeah?
00:23:03Do you know an antique dealer by the name of Percival Priceless?
00:23:06No.
00:23:07Has he something to do with this case?
00:23:08Yes, I think so.
00:23:10Do you know anything about antiques?
00:23:11Well, a little.
00:23:13I know an old gal singer.
00:23:14She works up at Spider's Web.
00:23:15She's about, uh, about five foot six.
00:23:17That's not what I mean.
00:23:18Oh.
00:23:21Well, that's all we can do tonight.
00:23:23Yeah, I guess so.
00:23:24See you in the morning.
00:23:25Right.
00:23:27Say, I wonder if vitamin Flint Hart knows anything about antiques.
00:23:30Well, if he ought to.
00:23:32He's old enough.
00:23:34Have him come in and see me tomorrow.
00:23:35I'll have a little job warm.
00:23:36Okay.
00:23:37Good night, Doc.
00:23:38Good night.
00:23:38Night, Pat.
00:23:39Night.
00:23:43Higbane.
00:23:45Bring that Victorian vase, please.
00:23:48Do you mean this one, sir?
00:23:50Yes.
00:23:51Oh, very good.
00:23:52This is a very rare piece.
00:23:54I believe Mr. Price has found it in an old New England farmhouse.
00:23:58Perhaps this is the one you had in mind, sir.
00:24:00No, no, no.
00:24:02I'm afraid not.
00:24:04Not only is its authenticity questionable,
00:24:06but it lacks that purity of line which is so essential to my requirements.
00:24:10Just precisely what are your requirements, sir?
00:24:13I've shown you several examples.
00:24:15I am furnishing my mausoleum.
00:24:17It is essential that every line be in the purest Grecian harmony.
00:24:22I could not enjoy my perennial solitude
00:24:25in the knowledge that there was something imperfect in my surroundings.
00:24:29Excuse me.
00:24:31Ah, good afternoon, Miss Clyde.
00:24:33Good afternoon.
00:24:35We have your candlesticks in the office.
00:24:38Will you step this way, please?
00:24:39Surely.
00:24:41Higbee, take care of the gentleman, will you, please?
00:24:43Oh, yes, Mr. Priceless.
00:24:44Now that...
00:24:45Perhaps we have something else you'll find...
00:24:51You are saying?
00:24:54Perhaps we have something else you'll find appealing.
00:24:58Oh, yes, yes.
00:24:59Oh, by George.
00:25:02Now, now, that's interesting.
00:25:04What is?
00:25:04That vase up there.
00:25:06Unless my eyes are playing me tricks,
00:25:08it's a rare and beautiful example of early Grecian workmanship.
00:25:12I say, that's a good-looking suit you have.
00:25:15Who's your tailor?
00:25:17My tailor?
00:25:18Oh, he has a little shop that's just around the corner.
00:25:21It's little, but it's often...
00:25:21Who has?
00:25:23My tailor.
00:25:24That has nothing to do with antiques, has it?
00:25:27No.
00:25:27How your mind wanders.
00:25:29Here, fetch down the vase, ma'am.
00:25:31Fetch it down.
00:25:33There's only one other like it in existence.
00:25:35It belongs to my old friend, Lady Casserole.
00:25:38Upper Norton-on-Tyne, Woodsley's Hollow Oakfield-by-Sea...
00:25:42in south-eastern Nottinghamshire, in merry old England.
00:25:46Fetch it down, fella.
00:25:47Fetch it down.
00:25:48Yes, sir.
00:25:49Yes, sir.
00:25:50You don't seem very pleased to see me.
00:25:52Oh, of course I am.
00:25:54But why?
00:25:55Why did you have to come here last night?
00:25:58Dick Tracy was at Sparker's office, and I wanted to warn you.
00:26:01Fine warning you gave me.
00:26:02You led Tracy right to my door.
00:26:03He came here?
00:26:05Yes, he followed you.
00:26:06You should have known he would.
00:26:07Did he find out anything?
00:26:10I'm not sure.
00:26:11I don't think so.
00:26:12Well, then stop worrying.
00:26:13We've got other troubles.
00:26:15Cuball won't give up the diamonds until he gets his 10,000.
00:26:18And Simon Little wants to pull out of the deal.
00:26:21Simon wants to pull out?
00:26:22Excellent, excellent.
00:26:24Well, that's hardly something to worry about, my dear.
00:26:26We've split only two ways now.
00:26:29But who'll cut the stones for us?
00:26:31Why have other contacts?
00:26:32How life continually disappoints us.
00:26:35This is not the invaluable object I presumed, but a mediocre copy.
00:26:39Are you sure, sir?
00:26:40Quite positive?
00:26:42A return it to the obscurity it deserves.
00:26:44Yes, sir.
00:26:45I am a recognized antiquary, fully capable of differentiating between the inspired original and a clumsy part of it.
00:26:54Good afternoon, Miss Klein.
00:26:55Good afternoon.
00:26:56And I'll have the candlesticks delivered.
00:26:58Oh, thank you very much.
00:27:02Then suddenly a very, very exciting thing happened.
00:27:06Just as I was trying to overhear what they were saying in there, the door opened and Miss Klein came out.
00:27:12With the candlesticks?
00:27:13No.
00:27:14No.
00:27:14Priceless said he would send them to her.
00:27:16Then the wench left.
00:27:17Yes, sir?
00:27:21Steve, get hold of Patton and tell him I want to see him right away.
00:27:24Right, Chief.
00:27:25Thanks, Spider-Man.
00:27:26You've been a big help.
00:27:27Oh, it was nothing, old boy, nothing.
00:27:29Ah, I made a little purchase while there.
00:27:32A garter.
00:27:33A garter?
00:27:34Mm-hmm.
00:27:35It has quite a history, old boy.
00:27:38Quite a history.
00:27:39Uh, what a pity.
00:27:45Why do the young have all the youth?
00:27:47Shoe laces, pencils, chewing gum.
00:28:06Shoe laces, pencils, chewing gum.
00:28:08Shoe laces, mister?
00:28:10No, thank you.
00:28:10But listen, I got to...
00:28:11I told you I know one thing.
00:28:12Will you please get out of my way?
00:28:13But I got razor blades, too.
00:28:14Needles, cue ball, chewing gum.
00:28:17What did you say?
00:28:19Cue ball.
00:28:20He'll be waiting for you tonight at the Riffing Dagger.
00:28:21What time?
00:28:22When?
00:28:22Now.
00:28:23Right away in Flora's private office.
00:28:26Bless you, sir.
00:28:29A dollar.
00:28:37Come on, Pat.
00:28:38Let's go.
00:28:43I'm going in, Pat.
00:29:06You cover the back way.
00:29:07Stop anyone who tries to get out.
00:29:08Right now.
00:29:38There's an office up there.
00:29:40Thanks.
00:30:09All right, quit stalling. Let's have the dough.
00:30:12Well, you see, Cube Wall, we...
00:30:14Don't try to hold out on me. The price has gone up.
00:30:17But Cube Wall, we...
00:30:18It's double. I want 20 grand.
00:30:21It's little enough for getting 300,000 bucks worth of ice.
00:30:24I got you dirty chiselers where I want you.
00:30:27Now you're gonna pay.
00:30:33Hello, Flora.
00:30:35Hi, Mr. Tracy.
00:30:37I ain't seen you for a long time.
00:30:39That's because you've been such a good girl.
00:30:41Sit down, Flora.
00:30:43I ain't done nothing wrong, dearie. Honest, I ain't.
00:30:46Relax. This is purely your social call.
00:30:49Oh, that's nice.
00:30:51Yes, yes. I know you've asked for more money,
00:30:54but all I could raise was $5,000.
00:30:57Before I give it to you, I want to see the diamonds.
00:30:59You're not getting those stones.
00:31:01Not for an easily five grand, you ain't.
00:31:07Who's out there?
00:31:09Shut up.
00:31:11So, you dirty stupid. You called the cops, huh?
00:31:13No. What do you mean?
00:31:15Don't play dumb. You know Tracy's here.
00:31:17Tracy? No, I didn't call the detectives.
00:31:19He ain't gonna help you.
00:31:21No, no, wait a minute, Q-ball. Q-ball. I'll give you the money. Q-ball. Here. I'll give you the money. Take the money. Q-ball.
00:31:39Ah!
00:31:51Open up in there.
00:32:03You all right, Pat? Yeah.
00:32:05It's a lucky thing for me. I got hit on the head.
00:32:07Come on, let's go.
00:32:11What are you trying to do?
00:32:13Leave it apart, you'll get in.
00:32:35Leave it apart, you'll get in.
00:32:43It's a good thing those socks on the head will make me dizzy.
00:32:47Well, I can see this is putting out.
00:32:54Are you okay?
00:32:55Certainly. Just another bump on the head.
00:32:57No use chasing it now.
00:32:59I better put in a general alarm.
00:33:01That's fine. Radio's broken.
00:33:03Stay here, I'll have the phone headquarters.
00:33:05Okay. All right, stand aside. Stand aside. Let me hear it.
00:33:07Are you hurt?
00:33:09Are you hurt?
00:33:10No, no.
00:33:11Oh, you're new on the force, aren't you?
00:33:12Yeah.
00:33:13You sure you're all right?
00:33:14Oh, just a little dizzy.
00:33:15Dizzy, eh?
00:33:16So that's it.
00:33:17You're drunk.
00:33:18Drunk?
00:33:19No, I'm not drunk.
00:33:20And stealing a police car, too.
00:33:22No, no, you don't understand.
00:33:23Have you got your driver's license?
00:33:24No, I don't have a driver's license.
00:33:25No driver's license.
00:33:26No, no driver's license.
00:33:27You, you...
00:33:28Oh, I'm getting tough with an officer, too.
00:33:30No, look, this is Dick Tracy's car.
00:33:32Oh, it is, is it?
00:33:33And I suppose you're gonna tell me you're Pat Patton.
00:33:35No, of course not.
00:33:36Then who are you?
00:33:37Pat Patton.
00:33:38Pat...
00:33:39Get out of the car.
00:33:40No.
00:33:41Are you gonna get out of the car or do I have to use...
00:33:43Oh, no, no, not again.
00:33:46Say, you haven't seen Pat Patton, have you?
00:33:48He was supposed to.
00:33:49Never mind, he just came in.
00:33:51Bye.
00:33:52Where have you been?
00:33:54If I told you, you wouldn't believe me.
00:33:55Then don't tell me.
00:33:56I'll tell you anyhow.
00:33:57I was over at the...
00:33:59Tracy?
00:34:00Yes?
00:34:01I've got that report from the coroner.
00:34:02The markings on Price's throat are identical to those found on Abbott.
00:34:05Same markings, eh?
00:34:06Yes.
00:34:07Good, thanks.
00:34:08That's the best lead we've had so far.
00:34:09You mean the same guy's responsible for both murders?
00:34:11Mm-hmm.
00:34:12Priceless had $2,000 in his clothes when we found him.
00:34:16He was probably at the Dripping Dagger dickering for those diamonds.
00:34:19Sure adds up.
00:34:20Most likely, Filthy Flora was hiding our mystery man since the Abbott killing.
00:34:24Which means she ought to know a thing or two.
00:34:26Come on, we're gonna have a little talk with Filthy Flora at the Dripping Dagger.
00:34:29Oh, every time I get near that joint, I feel like I need a bottle of DDT.
00:34:33They're not down there.
00:34:36They've got to be up here someplace.
00:34:38Find those diamonds if I have to tear this race apart.
00:34:42Please Prozent.
00:34:43Please.
00:34:44Let's go.
00:34:45Lillian.
00:34:46Yes.
00:34:47Let's go.
00:35:01Let's go.
00:35:03Ah!
00:35:33Oh!
00:35:34Hello, Flora.
00:35:35Oh, hello.
00:35:36I didn't expect you back so soon.
00:35:37No, I guess you didn't.
00:35:38Did you figure any going out, Flora?
00:35:39Yeah.
00:35:40Just going out for a walk.
00:35:41I wanted a breath of fresh air.
00:35:42Maybe you better put off that walk until a little bit later.
00:35:44I got something I want to talk over with you.
00:35:45You mean about the rent cue ball?
00:35:46Oh, that can wait till next week.
00:35:47All right.
00:35:48No, it ain't the rent.
00:35:49Oh, just a social call, eh?
00:35:50Paying your old sidekick, Flora, a friendly visit.
00:35:53Sure.
00:35:54Sure.
00:35:55That's it.
00:35:56Just a friendly visit.
00:35:57Well, that's nice of you, dearie.
00:35:59Let's sit down and have a drink.
00:36:00Oh, well, you're not going out for a walk.
00:36:01I want to have a breath of fresh air.
00:36:03Maybe you better put off that walk until a little bit later.
00:36:05I got something I want to talk over with you.
00:36:07You mean about the rent cue ball?
00:36:08Oh, that can wait till next week.
00:36:09No, it ain't the rent.
00:36:10Oh, just a social call, eh?
00:36:13Paying your old sidekick, Flora, a friendly visit.
00:36:15Sure, sure.
00:36:16That's it.
00:36:17Let's sit down and have a drink for old time's sake.
00:36:19This one will be on the house.
00:36:20Okay, Flora.
00:36:26Looks like you was trying to find something here.
00:36:28Yeah, yeah.
00:36:29I couldn't find my scarf.
00:36:31I wanted to wear it and I went out for a walk.
00:36:33You didn't happen to look under the wash basin for it, did you?
00:36:36Wash basin?
00:36:38Why, what would my scarf be doing under there?
00:36:42I ain't talking about your scarf.
00:36:44I'm talking about my diamonds.
00:36:46They were under there until you got your hooks on them.
00:36:48Now, hand them over.
00:36:49I haven't got your diamonds, cue ball.
00:36:51Honest, I ain't.
00:36:52Oh, you lying old fang.
00:36:54Now, you gonna give me them diamonds?
00:36:56You don't have to take them.
00:37:00Just try and take them!
00:37:01Just try and take them!
00:37:03Now, wait a minute, Flora.
00:37:04Maybe we could talk this over.
00:37:06There's enough there for both of us.
00:37:08We could split 50-50.
00:37:10Help!
00:37:11Help!
00:37:12Help!
00:37:13Help!
00:37:14Help!
00:37:15Help!
00:37:16Help!
00:37:17Help!
00:37:18Help!
00:37:19Help!
00:37:20Help!
00:37:21Help!
00:37:36Must be around.
00:37:37She lives here.
00:37:38I'll go around to the back.
00:37:39You wait here.
00:37:40Right.
00:37:50Never mind.
00:37:51She's trouble!
00:37:56Oh, my god, there's looking for a gentleman.
00:37:58You can see.
00:37:59Keep it out.
00:38:00Now, where are you?
00:38:01Can I ask?
00:38:02No, here is.
00:38:03Well.
00:38:04Maybe, let's go.
00:38:05Look at it.
00:38:06I have to do it.
00:38:08All you have a cat.
00:38:09Well, let's stand a cat!
00:38:10Percival Price's antique dealer found murdered, and then, as night fell, the killer struck again, leaving filthy Flora's body, cold and lifeless, in the office of her waterfront cafe, known as the Tripping Dagger.
00:38:29According to Dick Tracy, head of the Homicide Squad, the markings on the throat of each of the victims indi-indi-indicates?
00:38:36Thanks. You're welcome. Indicates that the... that the same criminal is responsible for each of the murders.
00:38:47Oh, gee. Just when it's getting good. Yeah. See who it is. Okay. But don't read any more till I get back. Right.
00:39:01Well, good morning, Butch. Morning, Miss Trueheart. Are you ready to go to the Rodeo? Remember, we have to leave early if we want to get good.
00:39:07I remember, all right. I'll go home and get ready and be right back. That's a good boy.
00:39:14Hello, Junior. Hiya, Tess. Boy, what a story they got on filthy Flora's murder.
00:39:20Having Mr. Tracy in the business is enough crime for one family without you reading about it in newspapers.
00:39:25Aw, gee, Tess. Well, good morning, Tess. How are you?
00:39:29Fine, thank you, darling. I was just having a little discussion with Junior over his reading matter.
00:39:33It was about the murders, Dick. I see what you mean. Better have this before you leave for the Rodeo.
00:39:39But I got to keep up with what's going on. You'd do a lot better to keep up with your schoolwork.
00:39:43Aw. Tess is right, Junior.
00:39:45Say, how would you like a lifetime job showing Junior what to read?
00:39:49Why, Dick Tracy proposing so early in the morning.
00:39:52Why don't you marry him so he can stop proposing?
00:39:54Just a minute, young fella. I can speak for myself.
00:39:57Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
00:40:01All right, everybody. Reach for the ceiling. Put him up.
00:40:04What?
00:40:04You heard what the man said. Put him up.
00:40:07Nobody move.
00:40:09Don't try any of your tricks.
00:40:10What is this?
00:40:11Oh, he thinks he's Jesse James.
00:40:13No, sir. Today I'm Buffalo Bill.
00:40:17You don't have to put your hands up, Junior, because you're drinking a glass of milk.
00:40:21Thanks.
00:40:22You're welcome.
00:40:24And now I'm going to shoot you, Dick Tracy, because you're an Indian.
00:40:31Butch, let me see that hat.
00:40:32Save your breath, partner. You can't talk your way out of this one.
00:40:36Butch.
00:40:38Don't move, redskin, or you'll bite the dust.
00:40:40Butch, will you please let me see that hat?
00:40:41You just want me to take off my hat so you can scalp me.
00:40:44Butch, will you please...
00:40:45You as men, the varmits are gonna attack.
00:40:49Bam, bam, bang, bang, bang.
00:40:52Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang.
00:40:55Butch, I'm not an Indian.
00:40:57For goodness sakes, Dick, why is Butch's hat so important all of a sudden?
00:41:00I don't want the hat. It's that hat band I've got to see.
00:41:03Hat band? Why didn't you say so? A lot of the kids got those bands.
00:41:06They have. Where'd they get them?
00:41:07Send away for them. Here, I'll show you.
00:41:11It's advertising this magazine.
00:41:13Let's see.
00:41:13Oh, here it is. There.
00:41:26Desert. City. Operator.
00:41:31To Dick Tracy.
00:41:34Box 520. Desert City.
00:41:39Is.
00:41:41Post Office.
00:41:43Address.
00:41:45Rocky Mountain Penitentiary.
00:41:49Rocky Mountain Prison.
00:41:50Know anybody up there, Chief?
00:41:51Why, the warden is an old friend of mine.
00:41:53Take a wire.
00:41:54Yes, sir.
00:41:57Listen to this.
00:41:59Prisoner you referred to was released six weeks ago after serving ten years.
00:42:02He is Harry Lake, alias Bernie Burns, alias Frisco Joe, alias Q-ball.
00:42:06Description is as follows.
00:42:07Yeah, I didn't read the description.
00:42:09I'll take care of the description.
00:42:11Broadcast room.
00:42:13You look them up in the files.
00:42:13Right.
00:42:15Tracy speaking.
00:42:17The killer in the Diamond case has just been identified.
00:42:20Broadcast this description immediately.
00:42:21The killer in the Diamond case.
00:42:52What are you so happy about?
00:42:53Why not?
00:42:53I think it's very funny.
00:42:55You should be able to take it, Chief.
00:42:56We've been kidded by the press before.
00:42:58But they're giving the public the impression that Q-ball is in plain sight and we can't even see him.
00:43:02Why don't they draw a picture showing how we scour the city?
00:43:05How we took the dripping dagger apart board by board.
00:43:08How we've kept the constant watch on that antique shop and Mona Clyde's apartment.
00:43:12No, we don't want that publicized.
00:43:14Well, I can't say that I enjoy this kind of publicity.
00:43:17Why haven't you picked up Mona Clyde?
00:43:18Because I believe she'll lead us to the Diamonds and the Diamonds will lead us to Q-ball.
00:43:22Dick, I don't care what you do or how you do it.
00:43:24But we've got to get some action.
00:43:25I've got a plan that may work.
00:43:26If I can find the right policewoman.
00:43:28Okay, find her.
00:43:29But let's have some action.
00:43:30Bye, Chief.
00:43:32Yes, sir.
00:43:33You can send in those ladies now.
00:43:36Okay, girls.
00:43:36You may go in now.
00:43:37Thanks.
00:43:45It appears that the great Tracy is about to become inundated by an avalanche of feminine pulchritude.
00:43:50Oh, I'd hardly say they were his type.
00:43:52It's official business, I'm sure.
00:43:54Miss Roberts, you've been with the police force for six months, right?
00:43:56Yes, sir.
00:43:57Well, this job calls for a veteran.
00:43:59Miss Leeds, will you stay?
00:44:01You other ladies may leave.
00:44:02And thanks very much for your trouble.
00:44:03No trouble at all, Mr. Tracy.
00:44:04I'll see.
00:44:12Four weight in, three came out.
00:44:16It is a situation which I am compelled to remark is replete with the most devastating possibilities
00:44:21and open to the most provocative of interpretation.
00:44:25Now, don't let your imagination run away with you, vitamin.
00:44:27I still say I can always trust Dick.
00:44:30Most fortunate of greeters.
00:44:32The hand that made you fair hath made you good.
00:44:37If we're to be successful, you must give the impression of being a real blue blood.
00:44:42High society.
00:44:43Think you could handle it?
00:44:45I doubt it.
00:44:47This Brooklyn accent of mine be a tip-off.
00:44:49Don't you think you could disguise it?
00:44:50Well, I don't think so.
00:44:53That sort of puts me in a spot.
00:44:55I don't wish to stir the green-eyed monster of devouring jealousy.
00:44:58But don't you think it sounds suspiciously quiet in there?
00:45:03Oh, you.
00:45:11Thank you, Miss Means.
00:45:12It was a pleasure.
00:45:13Hello, you two.
00:45:14Have you been waiting long?
00:45:15Quite.
00:45:16May we go in now?
00:45:17By all means.
00:45:19I can see that police work might be very interesting.
00:45:23Now, Tess, those were policewomen.
00:45:25Policewomen?
00:45:26A man is confronted by jeopardy on all sides.
00:45:29I was looking for one capable of impersonating a society girl.
00:45:32Did you find her?
00:45:33Well, no.
00:45:34She's got to be just right or my whole plan will blow sky high.
00:45:37You're not being very flattering, Mr. Tracy.
00:45:39Huh?
00:45:40A gentleman would at least say that I look the part.
00:45:42Of course you do.
00:45:44You're not getting any ideas, are you?
00:45:46Oh, but I'm sure that I could play the part for you, Dick.
00:45:49No, absolutely no.
00:45:50It's too dangerous.
00:45:51Pardon the intrusion, old fellow.
00:45:53But I must say that Miss Trueheart embodies the quintessence of social grace.
00:45:57Oh, Dick, you've got to let me do it.
00:45:59But I'm afraid the whole thing...
00:46:01Tut.
00:46:02I will school the little lady in social deportment.
00:46:05First, the correct form.
00:46:11But, of all the vital graces, that of making a good first impression
00:46:15is the most important.
00:46:18Ah, how do you do?
00:46:21How do you do?
00:46:21I'm so happy to see you.
00:46:23Well, I'm happy to see you, too.
00:46:24I've heard so much about you.
00:46:26Oh, you have?
00:46:26I'm sure you're one of the most charming and scintillating men I've ever met.
00:46:30Oh, that's nice.
00:46:31I wish I could say the same.
00:46:32Say, is vitamin going to play your society gal?
00:46:36None of your ribaldry, sir.
00:46:37You are speaking of the man I love.
00:46:40No, Pat, vitamin isn't.
00:46:42I am.
00:46:42Right, Dick?
00:46:43Right.
00:46:44Now, these pieces are rather unusual.
00:46:48No, I'm...
00:46:49I'm sorry, Mr. Sparkle.
00:46:51I'm afraid these won't do either.
00:46:53I hope you haven't found me too hard to please,
00:46:55but I do want something individual.
00:46:57I flew in from Bermuda to have this necklace made up,
00:47:00and...
00:47:00well, I want it for a special occasion.
00:47:03Oh, I see.
00:47:04Perhaps this is what you have in mind.
00:47:07No, I'm...
00:47:07I'm afraid not.
00:47:09Well, Miss Belmont,
00:47:10you can't find diamonds such as you want overnight.
00:47:12And even if I could locate them,
00:47:14they would be very expensive.
00:47:15Well, what good is Father's money if I can't spend it?
00:47:18Very well, Miss Belmont.
00:47:20We'll try to help you spend it.
00:47:22I'll contact the other dealers immediately.
00:47:24Possibly they may have something you like.
00:47:25I'd appreciate it very much, Mr. Sparkle.
00:47:28Glad to do it.
00:47:29Would you mind giving your address to Miss Clyde
00:47:31so that I can get in touch with you later?
00:47:32Of course not.
00:47:33Suite 412, Carlton Arms.
00:47:37Thank you, Miss Belmont.
00:47:38You'll hear from me.
00:47:39You've been very kind, Mr. Sparkle.
00:47:42Oh, and you too, Miss Clyde.
00:47:44Thanks so very much, both of you.
00:47:45Goodbye.
00:47:46Good day.
00:47:48Chosy, isn't she?
00:47:49She can afford to be.
00:47:51I think I'll run upstairs
00:47:52and see what Emil Camber has in his private collection.
00:47:55And you might ask Simon Little if he has any ideas.
00:47:58Yes, sir.
00:47:59About time you two got here.
00:48:17Did you bring the dough?
00:48:18Q-ball, it's...
00:48:18Let me handle this.
00:48:20Simon tells me you expect $20,000 now.
00:48:22He told you're right.
00:48:24$20,000.
00:48:25You haven't got a brain in your head, you big ox.
00:48:27I don't like that kind of talk.
00:48:29Don't make him angry.
00:48:30Oh, he'll listen and like it.
00:48:33If you wanted the $20,000 so much,
00:48:35why did you kill Priceless?
00:48:36He was the only one who could pay it to you.
00:48:39I had to kill him.
00:48:41I'd kill anybody that gets in my way.
00:48:43You get in your own way.
00:48:45Now every cop in the country's looking for you.
00:48:47You've not only messed up everything for yourself,
00:48:49but for us, too.
00:48:51I told you I don't like that kind of talk.
00:48:53Oh, shut up.
00:48:53Go ahead.
00:48:54Kill me.
00:48:55Kill Simon.
00:48:55Then you won't get a dime.
00:48:56Nothing.
00:48:57Nothing but the chair, perhaps.
00:48:58Don't talk like that or else...
00:48:59Oh, getting scared, huh?
00:49:01The police are closing in and you're getting scared.
00:49:04I won't catch me.
00:49:05I'll get away.
00:49:07They ain't caught me yet, have they?
00:49:08I'll take that $20,000 and blow...
00:49:09Get it through your skull.
00:49:10There is no $20,000.
00:49:11Nothing like it.
00:49:12There isn't even $10,000 now.
00:49:14Nothing but what Simon and I can dig up for you.
00:49:16I've got $1,700 in the bank.
00:49:18And I've got $2,400.
00:49:20That's $4,100 you can have for the diamonds, Q-ball.
00:49:23$4,100, that's all.
00:49:25$4,100 for these rocks?
00:49:27Yes.
00:49:28I've got a chance to get them off our hands for about $7,000.
00:49:31Then we'll all be clear.
00:49:32There'll be no evidence.
00:49:33There's a rich heiress.
00:49:34She'll buy them.
00:49:34But she knows they're stolen and that's all she'll pay.
00:49:36Nobody else will touch them.
00:49:38If you two are double-crossing me...
00:49:41If double-crossing you after you kill priceless...
00:49:44Keep your diamonds.
00:49:45You can go to your grave with them.
00:49:47Come on, let's get out of here.
00:49:48I've heard enough.
00:49:49Now, wait a minute.
00:49:49I ain't going to be left holding the bag.
00:49:53Give me the dough.
00:49:54Give me the $4,100.
00:49:55Well, you have got some brains after all.
00:49:57I'm on a crack.
00:49:58Give me the dough.
00:49:59You'll get it tonight, later.
00:50:00Yeah, well, you ain't getting these rocks until I do.
00:50:04Okay, wait here.
00:50:06I'll wait.
00:50:07Come on.
00:50:10Come on.
00:50:10I never thought you'd get away with it.
00:50:21I didn't either, but that's what makes life interesting, Simon.
00:50:24Taking chances.
00:50:33Hello, Carlton Arms.
00:50:35I'd like to talk to Miss Belmont, please.
00:50:37If that's Mona, Tess, don't be nervous.
00:50:43Who's nervous?
00:50:45Hello?
00:50:47This is Blythe Belmont speaking.
00:50:50This is Mona Clyde.
00:50:52I've come across some very unusual diamonds, Miss Belmont.
00:50:57The owner is a very prominent man who is financially embarrassed.
00:51:01He insists the sale be as secretive as possible,
00:51:03so I took the liberty of making an appointment with him
00:51:06at my apartment tonight.
00:51:09In an hour.
00:51:10In an hour?
00:51:12Very well.
00:51:13What's the address, please?
00:51:16Second floor, apartment 12.
00:51:19I've got it.
00:51:20Yes.
00:51:20I'll see you in an hour.
00:51:22Come on, Pat.
00:51:23We'll go right over there.
00:51:25Hey, wait a minute.
00:51:26Don't you want to know where you're going?
00:51:28That's Mona's address.
00:51:29We know it by heart.
00:51:30Oh, you do?
00:51:31Don't leave until the last minute, Tess,
00:51:32just in case she calls again.
00:51:33If there are any changes in plans, call headquarters immediately.
00:51:36Right.
00:51:37See you in an hour.
00:51:38Yes, dear.
00:51:39This is one date I know that you'll keep.
00:51:43But I tell you, Miss Clyde, I don't like it.
00:51:45What if something should go wrong?
00:51:46What can go wrong?
00:51:47Now go ahead.
00:51:48Get your $1,700.
00:51:49Here's my $2,400.
00:51:50Yes, but that $1,700 is all the money I have in the world.
00:51:53You're the weakest, most sniveling excuse for a human being I've ever seen.
00:51:56You've no right.
00:51:57You're right.
00:51:58We pay $4,100 for diamonds we can sell for over $100,000.
00:52:01And you say I've no right.
00:52:03Now get your money and stop crying.
00:52:05All right.
00:52:08But I've always been so careful of my money.
00:52:14I didn't even trust the banks.
00:52:16And now.
00:52:18And now you're going to be a rich man.
00:52:20I hope you're right.
00:52:21I'll go over to my apartment and meet the Belmont woman.
00:52:27Here.
00:52:27Take the money downstairs and get the diamonds from Cuball.
00:52:30Now don't forget you're the financially embarrassed gentleman who owns the diamonds.
00:52:34Try to act like one when you get up to my place.
00:52:51Cuball.
00:52:59Cuball.
00:53:13Good evening.
00:53:14Would you get me a cab, please?
00:53:15Yes, Miss Belmont.
00:53:16Taxi.
00:53:21Where to?
00:53:22Uh, 319 East 4th Street.
00:53:25319 East 4th Street, driver.
00:53:46Come in.
00:53:51But how could I have the diamonds?
00:54:00When I got to my workshop, Cuball wasn't there.
00:54:02He's gone.
00:54:03You're lying.
00:54:04I'm not.
00:54:05I looked everywhere.
00:54:06I waited.
00:54:08What about Miss Belmont?
00:54:10Where's she?
00:54:11She isn't here yet.
00:54:13Oh, you're the one who's lying.
00:54:15There never was such a person.
00:54:17You've tried to trick me so you can get the diamonds for yourself.
00:54:19You're insane.
00:54:21What about my call to Miss Belmont?
00:54:22How do I really know who you were talking to?

00:54:27I'm going.
00:54:29Mr. Tracy.

00:54:37Miss Clyde, I was at Miss Belmont's suite this afternoon when you made the appointment with her.
00:54:41Now, where is she?
00:54:43I don't know.
00:54:44She left her hotel more than 10 minutes ago.
00:54:46Did you give her instructions to meet you somewhere else?
00:54:48No, I didn't.
00:54:49I haven't spoken to her since this afternoon.
00:54:53Pat.
00:54:54Yeah?
00:54:54Check with headquarters and see if they've heard from Tess.
00:54:56Right.
