Bosko's Dog Race is a 1932 Looney Tunes short directed by Hugh Harman, released on June 25, 1932. It stars Bosko and his dog Bruno, following their misadventures after a squirrel steals their breakfast egg. During the ensuing chase, they discover a billboard advertising a dog race with a $5,000 prize.
Bosko decides to enter Bruno in the race and puts him through a clumsy training regimen. At the event, Bruno initially lags behind but gains unexpected speed when bees from a hive (dropped on him by the same squirrel) sting his rear, propelling him to victory. The cartoon ends with Bruno winning first place and the prize money.
