00:00This is the Grand Finals, so it's the end of our season in terms of the tour events that we hold
00:07and all players can come to the Grand Finals and we've held them on the island for about seven
00:14years and this is our first time at the Comis, which is a pleasant change for us, it's lovely.
00:19And it's been on the Isle of Man before, it's been seven or eight years you mentioned earlier,
00:23why is it important that you come to the island?
00:25Right, okay, so there is one professional player on the island by the name of David Ardennell
00:30and I'm sure many people are aware of him and I think it started from conversations with the fact
00:35that David travels absolutely everywhere and as has done for many years and so it was kind of a
00:41conversation, well why don't you come to the Isle of Man and so we've put that in place and with the
00:46help of Visit Isle of Man and Steampacket who provide sponsorship in various ways for ourselves,
00:55we've been able to do that and hope to continue the relationship for a long time to come.
00:58Absolutely and the Comis has really put on a show for you, it looks fantastic when you come in here,
01:02what do you think about the place? I know it's only, you've not quite started the weekend yet,
01:05but how have you found it so far?
01:06Well so far it's been amazing here, all hotel staff have been very hospitable and like it's for us both,
01:15it's a new venue for us and it's a whole new event for them but I think we've both,
01:20we've all worked very well together and managed to put on what you see here and in the Snafeville room,
01:25which is the other rooms we're using.
01:26Absolutely and the thing that will really impress and please people from the Isle of Man is they can
01:31get involved in this, can't they? And I believe there's a few actually playing in the competition.
01:34Yes, yes, so we have some lady players and some amateur men players who have entered the competition.
01:41I think in total it'll be about 25 people who've entered the main event that takes place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
01:46And then we have we have holding more sort of casual events now over yesterday and today to encourage people
01:56to generally don't play with professional players or anything like that on the island to come and have that experience with us.
