00:00Hi guys and welcome to DriveSpark and in today's video we are going to talk about the all new
00:06upcoming Tata Sierra and this time we have the EV version of the production version Sierra that
00:11has been teased by Tata Motors and we'll be telling you about the design and the expected
00:16range and what all do you get in the EV compared to the IC version of the Tata Sierra. Now recently
00:22Tata Motors has released a production spec version of the Tata Sierra EV which is offering a first
00:27detailed look and design ahead of its official launch that is going to happen later this month
00:32on the 25th of November. Now the reveal comes via a promotional TV commercial that primarily highlights
00:38the IC version of the Sierra but they also discreetly show the EV variant as well. Now visually
00:44the Sierra EV shares a bold side profile and the signature alpine window styling of the IC counterparts.
00:51The EV and the IC counterpart actually both look the same from the side but there are differences
00:56between the electric and the IC version of the Sierra and that can be distinguished from the
01:00front end. Now the Tata Sierra EV features a fully closed front fascia and it gets a body colored
01:07surroundings and clean bumper designs for overall aerodynamics because obviously it's an EV vehicle
01:12and it does not need much air at the front so that is why everything is covered up and is in the body
01:17color. Now however the LED light bar is simpler and is uninterrupted while the IC version retails the
01:25grill openings obviously because you need air to cool down the engine so that is the main difference
01:29between the ICE and the EV version of the Sierra. Now on the inside the Sierra EV is expected to retain
01:35the triple screen layout that has been teased and that we have seen in other pictures and videos as
01:40well. Along with that some of the features will include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats,
01:45ambient light, a wireless phone charger and obviously the EV specific additions like the vehicle to load
01:51that is the V2L and the vehicle to vehicle that is the V2V capabilities. Now obviously like the other EV vehicles
01:58in the market the Sierra will also get the V2L that is if you're going out for camping and if you need to charge
02:04any of your equipment such as laptops, lights or any other things then you have the V2L feature that will
02:10allow you to do that and the V2V is vehicle to vehicle so for example if any other EV vehicle is there and they need a
02:16little bit of a charge you can help them out by using the V2V so basically it is the vehicle to vehicle
02:22charging capability for that EV for another EV that is stranded on the road. Nodada has not yet
02:28published detailed specifications about the Sierra EV but we can expect that the Sierra EV might get a
02:33multiple battery pack options and claiming a driving range of around 500 kilometers on one single charge
02:39for the top end variant with the big battery pack. Now this also means that like the Harrier EV
02:44the all-wheel drive version of the Sierra EV will also be launched along with the regular EV version
02:50of the Sierra. The ICE version of the Sierra is to be launched on 25th November that I have already
02:56mentioned before in the video while the ICE variant is still expected to follow a few months down the
03:01line not exactly immediately launching after the ICE variant. Now if we talk about the pricing of the
03:07Sierra now we can expect the Sierra to start at rupees 11 to 12 lakh rupees for the base model
03:13and the EV variant is most likely to be around 5 to 6 lakh rupees more expensive than the regular
03:19petrol or diesel variant. Now once launched the Sierra EV will compete with the upcoming compact electric
03:25SUV such as the Mahindra BE6, the Hyundai Creta electric and the MG ZS EV. Tata Sierra EV will sit
03:32between the curve and the Harrier EV in the Tata's lineup. So yeah guys this was the all new Tata
03:38Sierra EV. This is what exactly we know about the car and Tata has obviously teased it. A little bit
03:44of a difference between the ICE and the EV version is what you can distinguish from the front and
03:49obviously from the rear also the EV version will not have a exposed tailpipe because obviously it's an
03:54EV and it does not get an engine so hence it does not get an exhaust. So this was the difference
03:59between the regular ICE version of the Tata Sierra and the EV version of the Tata Sierra. I hope you
04:04liked this video and we will be getting you more information about these vehicles very very soon
04:09for that please stay tuned to drive spark and I will see you in the next one.
