The Kia EV2 is a new fully electric B-segment SUV that represents the entry point into the brand’s European electric portfolio. As Kia’s most compact electric vehicle to date, it expands the company’s EV line-up into one of Europe’s highest-volume segments.

Designed, engineered, produced, and sold in Europe, the EV2 combines bold design, everyday versatility, upper-segment technology, and comprehensive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), as well as confident driving performance. The model has been developed to serve as a household’s primary vehicle.
The EV2 embodies Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy. Its upright proportions, inspired by larger Kia EV models, reinforce its confident SUV stance. Vertical daytime running lights and the latest Star-map Signature Lighting establish a clear family resemblance to the wider EV range. Its pronounced shoulder line and robust wheel arches emphasise structural strength. The EV2 is available with a 42.2kWh standard-range battery or a 61.0kWh long-range battery. Anticipated all-electric range is up to 317km for the standard-range version and up to 453km for the long-range version (long-range AER WLTP pending).

00:00Ah! This is the biggest remote-controlled car ever!
00:03Do you know what? I have been known to give up.
00:05Did you know that one in three of us feels anxious, stressed, or worried about how to park, where to
00:11park?
00:11Half of us wish it would just park itself, and here in Southampton is apparently the worst place for parking
00:18in the UK.
00:19That's where the Kia EV2 comes in, so I'm going to give it a go. What could possibly go wrong?
00:26Hello, Fran. Hi. How are you? I'm good, thank you.
00:29I heard that you're a little bit nervous about parking, is that correct?
00:32Yeah. Parking was always the tough bit for me.
00:34Let's give it a go. Yes, please.
00:36I'm going to be honest with you, Fran, I get quite nervous at parking.
00:39We'll do it without any of the features.
00:42Oh, Fran, no. Oh, that's close.
00:45Oh, my God. What's the record for three-point turns on my own?
00:49I would absolutely have just driven off by this point.
00:52Oh, my God. What a bit of an angle.
00:54Oh, you're fussy, Fran.
00:56There? Yeah.
00:57You're suspiciously high-pitched when you say yes.
01:00Right.
01:01Have you ever left a passive-aggressive note?
01:04I have been known only once or twice, but with people who are bad parking,
01:09which is terrible because I'm not a great parker myself.
01:12A little piece of paper on a windscreen just saying,
01:14did you win your driver's licence in a cereal packet?
01:17Yeah. What's brilliant about Kia's cars?
01:20You've got various radar sensors and, as you can see, a camera, which has got your 360-degree
01:24around-view monitor. Your green indicates that you're good to go.
01:28And then the red says, stop, we're too close.
01:30It's a little bit tight.
01:30That is snug, isn't it?
01:32You can see the red lights are saying, no thank you.
01:34Are they?
01:35I think...
01:35Yeah. I actually just wanted to come and sit here.
01:38So let's try it with the Remote Smart Park Assist, shall we?
01:41I have noticed that we're not in the car, Fran.
01:44Yes, wow.
01:45It's going to help you get into those tight spots in and out,
01:48so it's going to really assist you with that.
01:50So if you flip the key over, hold down the hold button for about four seconds or so.
01:55So that's straightened up itself just because I went, reverse park, please.
02:00And as you can see at the moment, it's not going to hit the wall because it sensed it.
02:05It stopped me without me in it, knows I'm bad.
02:08It'll do the same going forward.
02:09If you press it, I'll step in front of the car.
02:14Oh, good girl.
02:16Shall we put it back?
02:18Brilliant. Let's go have a brew.
