Service on the Green Line was interrupted Sunday evening after a wire fell onto a train at the Boston College Yard, the MBTA reported.
The disruption was linked to a fire-related incident, the agency said. In the meantime, shuttle buses are operating between Boston College and Babcock Street until authorities declare the area safe for rail service to resume.
In a statement, the MBTA expressed gratitude, saying, “We sincerely thank the Boston Fire Department and Transit Police for their swift response and ongoing support at the scene, and we wish a prompt recovery to our operators affected by this incident.”
