House Democrats on the Oversight Committee released newly obtained emails from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate that reference Donald Trump, forming part of a larger batch of 23,000 documents subpoenaed in their investigation. In an April 2011 email to Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein described Trump as “the dog that hasn’t barked,” implying he had remained silent about Epstein despite their past association, and noted that an unnamed alleged victim had spent hours at his house with Trump. Michael Wolff, author of several books on Trump, also exchanged emails with Epstein during the 2016 campaign discussing how Trump might respond to questions about Epstein.
