Tensions flare in the Texas primary as Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett signals a possible court battle over voting issues. On primary night, Crockett claimed some voters were “disenfranchised” and announced plans to file a lawsuit to keep certain polling locations open.

Is this a case of election mismanagement, voter access concerns, or political escalation? The controversy has sparked heated debate across Texas, with questions swirling about election procedures, voter turnout, and legal next steps. Watch for the full breakdown of what happened, Crockett’s remarks, and what this could mean for the broader 2026 election cycle.

00:00I just want to be clear. There's a lot that took place specifically in Dallas County.
00:06I'm sure you've been watching the returns and none of the returns out of Dallas County are
00:12quite in yet. We were able to keep the polls open, but I can tell you now that people have
00:19been disenfranchised. The reason that we knew that there were problems is because we were
00:24receiving the phone calls and the emails. The Supreme Court also said that they are to
00:30separate any votes out that came in after 7 p.m. I want you to enjoy yourselves, but I
00:38won't be back tonight because I have no idea of when we're going to get results, and I fully
00:43anticipate it won't be until tomorrow.
00:49Hello, Dallas!
00:54How y'all feeling?
01:00So, I just want to be clear. There's a lot that took place specifically in Dallas County.
01:08I'm sure you've been watching the returns, and none of the returns out of Dallas County
01:14are quite in yet. Dallas County should have the second largest voter participation of any
01:22county in this state. We don't have any of the results because there was a lot of confusion
01:29today.
01:33And so, you know, our Democratic Party chair, Cardall Coleman, he beat me to the punch, as
01:42myself and Colin Allred, were about to file a lawsuit to keep the voting polls open.
01:52We were able to keep the polls open, but I can tell you now that people have been disenfranchised.
01:59The reason that we knew that there were problems is because we were receiving the phone calls
02:03in the emails. The polls were supposed to stay open until 9, according to a court order. The
02:11Supreme Court, just a few minutes ago, just said, shut it down. The Supreme Court also said
02:18that they are to separate any votes out that came in after 7 p.m.
02:27So, here's the deal. I have no idea how it is that clerks are going to know who was in
02:35line by what
02:35time, because the rule is that if you're in line by 7, then you get to vote. And so, once
02:45there was a
02:45court order saying you had until 9, I'm sure that there were people that joined the line after 7.
02:51They now are telling them that you have to separate the votes out. What this means is that we will
02:59not
02:59know what votes are to be tallied from Election Day out of Dallas County. For sure, we won't know that
03:08tonight. So, knowing that Dallas County is a big dump of votes, we imagine that we're going to
03:21in my opinion will not know the election results overall tonight. We need to see the Dallas County
03:28votes to see where they are. I mean, if the early vote comes in, which we may have the early
03:35vote soon, if it
03:37comes in and I'm losing Dallas County, then we know kind of where this thing is going. So, that's my
03:45news, is that we're
03:47not going to have election results tonight, in my opinion, based upon what specifically is taking place
03:54in Dallas County. Unfortunately, this is what Republicans like to do.
04:04And so, they specifically targeted Dallas County, and I think we all know why. So, I want you to enjoy
04:14yourselves, but I won't be back tonight because I have no idea of when we're going to get results, and
04:21I fully
04:21anticipate it won't be until tomorrow. So, I love y'all too. Thank you so very much for being here.
