00:00But I think the goal this offseason is to try to get them to $300 million luxury tax money.
00:05The thing that I think will disappoint Yankee fans is there are people who I trust who tell me that Hal Steinberg is Yankees lose money every year and that he wants to bring the payroll down.
00:17Now, if that first part is true, I don't know.
00:20They don't open their books.
00:22I know the franchise value continues to go up.
00:24That's just duh.
00:25But my strong, strong suspicion from talking to people with the Yankees who converse with the Yankees regularly and Hal Steinberg has said this publicly is he wants to get under $300 million.
00:36He wants to get under $300 million.
00:38And again, this is what the owner of the team wants.
00:41I think within that, they'd like to re-sign Cody Bellinger, add another reliever who can pitch in the final six outs of the game.
00:50I think they'd like to find a complimentary starting pitcher to help them through some injuries early in the season.
00:55I think they'd love to flip J.C. Ascara for a righty version of J.C. Ascara.
01:01And I think they'd like to find a complimentary right-handed bat and maybe plus Ahmad Rosario, who they liked a great deal and tried in previous years to get.
