00:00This is a tremendous honor.
00:02You know, all that Lou Gehrig stands for,
00:05all that this organization does in the community,
00:07it's something really special to be a part of.
00:10And it's special to be a part of it, you know,
00:12being a New York Yankee as well, getting to represent the Yankees brand
00:15and getting to represent everything that Lou stood for on and off the field.
00:18Well, it means a lot to me.
00:20I did a lot of work with the ALS Foundation when I was at Tampa Bay Devil Ray
00:23all the way back in the late 90s.
00:25So for five years was invested in that organization.
00:28So when I had an opportunity tonight to, you know,
00:31have an event with Lou Gehrig and have Garrett Cole here and Sarah Langs being honored,
00:35it was one of the nights that I was happy in my schedule.
00:38It was free to be able to take part in it.
00:40It means everything.
00:41I've met so many people in this organization that have been stricken with ALS,
00:46that have family members that are affected by this.
00:49It's the best community I've ever been around because people care so much to try to help people
00:55for a cause that's really, you know, still looking for a cure.
00:59Still nowhere near a cure, but it's made great progress.
01:02I can't even tell anybody after our clinics for a Nigerian rule that I have no country would
01:04they can't adopt anyuggish places?
01:07No.
01:08Hey, hey, my girl, bye.
