00:00We love Tuesday.
00:02Feliciano's about to be on the show.
00:04Mungo.
00:05Yeah, let's do this.
00:07And it was not their fault.
00:09It was not their fault this week.
00:10Offensive line gave up zero sacks.
00:13So let's do it, man.
00:15Let's go out to the River Islands guest line.
00:17He's on YouTube as well.
00:19John Feliciano joins us on Willard and Dibs.
00:21Is it getting cold out there?
00:22John's got the black beanie on today.
00:25Is it getting cold where you are?
00:27It's beaner season, baby.
00:28Yeah.
00:28That's what I'm talking about.
00:30It's about that time as soon as October hits, October, November.
00:35But, yeah, it snowed here yesterday.
00:37I didn't know I was getting myself into that before I moved here.
00:42But, yeah, it was like 20 degrees snow, and it was something.
00:47Yikes.
00:47Yikes.
00:48Yeah, that's pretty foreign for all of us out here in the Bay.
00:52Hey, I want to throw this at you.
00:53It's a question we've been bouncing around throughout the year.
00:56When we look at the Niners, all the injuries, the situation, sometimes we go,
01:01how the hell does this team have a winning record?
01:04And I got another one for you.
01:05I'm looking at the NFL 2025 turnover differential grid.
01:12John, they're second to last in the whole league.
01:16Only the Jets have a worse turnover differential.
01:19The Niners are minus eight.
01:21So, I'm going to ask you, how the hell are they six and four?
01:24It's a credit to the guys that are playing and the coaching staff.
01:33And, I mean, you know, if you look ahead on the rest of the year with seven games,
01:39I mean, realistically, I can see them, you know, winning at least six,
01:44going six and one and squeaking into the playoffs.
01:47But it's a credit to the coaching staff.
01:51And it's been, you know, credit to the effort of the guys who've been out there.
01:55I wonder, though, John, about, you know, the inability to really consistently run the ball.
02:00It seems like as much as the offensive line has done a good job of protecting in the past,
02:05they still haven't been able to really grind it out against good defenses.
02:08I mean, I think the Rams as well.
02:12I mean, they have one of the best edges in the league.
02:15And that's probably because they played the Niners twice a year,
02:19that they had to go out there and get, I mean,
02:21versus one of the best outside linebackers in the league.
02:25And a bunch of those edge guys are very good.
02:30And, again, I mean, they jumped out to a 21-point lead.
02:34So, it's kind of, although I don't think we abandoned the run in any way,
02:38it's still kind of one of those things where, you know,
02:41they got to throw – we're going to have to throw the ball more to win.
02:44John, we know you keep a real close eye on the Niners and the Bills.
02:49So, what is Sunday like?
02:52Yeah, what Sunday – take us inside your home on a Sunday
02:55when the Bills just completely gag in Miami
02:58and then the Niners are down 21-0 before your food's ready.
03:02Bro, I mean, the Bills one definitely was hurting the most
03:08because, I mean, the Dolphins are not, you know, a very good team.
03:13And for Buffalo to go out there –
03:15The Buffalo to go out there and just – it was bad, bro.
03:22That was a bad ball.
03:24Obviously, I thought the Niners had a harder, you know, game in front of them.
03:29I think the Rams are definitely in the NFC, one of the top teams.
03:35That being said, I thought we were going to squeak out another W
03:38like we did when we played there.
03:41But, man, that offense – I don't think Matt Stafford gets enough credit
03:45for what he does.
03:46I think he's, you know, in the upper echelon of quarterbacks in the league.
03:51He's like the last old-school quarterback,
03:54a guy that's just going to stay in the pocket and throw it.
03:56He can't run worth a crap.
03:57But he is a dog.
04:01He doesn't get the credit that he deserves.
04:04And now you've got a Cardinal team coming up this weekend.
04:07You talk about playing like crap, to use your turn of a phrase.
04:13Arizona got absolutely smashed in Seattle, and they had to wake up,
04:18and they're down 38-7 at the half.
04:20So how confident would the Niners be, should they be,
04:23going into Arizona against a team that looks pretty bad?
04:28Yeah, I think we should always be confident when we play the Cardinals.
04:34I just think, you know, at least in my time, I think the Niners are –
04:39I don't know.
04:41I never really worried about the Cardinals.
04:45No sacks last week.
04:47Can we get John Feliciano's Niners offensive line review?
04:51I thought – yeah, I thought they played well.
04:55Spencer's, you know, still got the start in – I thought he played well.
04:59I thought Barch played well as well when he got in.
05:01So it was good to see that.
05:04Hopefully we might have some depth now that we got these guys coming back.
05:09And, yeah, I think the pass protection was on point.
05:13And, you know, there was – you know, I feel like the running game was hit or miss.
05:17There was a couple big plays and a couple plays that could have been bigger.
05:24But, yeah, I think if I gave them a grade, it's probably like a B minus.
05:28If they would have won, it would have been an A minus.
05:30You can't grade them too high when we lose.
05:33Does Poonie look like he's getting healthier to you?
05:37Yeah, I was thinking that myself.
05:40I think while he had a couple plays that, you know, you wish you had back.
05:45But besides that, I think he's playing – he's starting to, you know, play way better.
05:49And Trent, on the outside, it looks like Trent Williams had another good game.
05:53He's been mostly up and a little down, though, at times.
05:56When you look at Trent Williams, now that we're, what, 10 games in, no bye yet,
06:01is he still playing at an elite level?
06:03I think coming into the season, you know, I think he kind of dipped.
06:09But I think recently he's been lights out.
06:14And, yeah, I mean, it's going to be great.
06:16Well, we have three more games until the bye.
06:18So, if we go out, I think we should go out there and be 3-0 by the bye.
06:22And that would be huge for that team to get the bye this late.
06:26John Feliciano with us on Willard and Dibs.
06:28Hey, John, I already know what you're going to say,
06:30but I kind of like to hear you say it because the debate is coming up again.
06:3533 of 39.
06:37Pretty fancy, three touchdown throws.
06:40Mack Jones has been incredible.
06:43So, as Brock gets closer to coming back,
06:46everybody's weighing in on whether the Niners should hurry to have Purdy back.
06:52If and when Purdy's ready, you say what?
06:57Throws ass in there.
07:00I think him coming back is just going to bring extra juice to the team.
07:05We've got our leader back.
07:07Everyone's going to be, you know, on 10 trying to get a win.
07:12I think their backs are against the wall here.
07:15If you look at just the record throughout the NFC,
07:20they're going to have to, you know, win a lot of games in a row here.
07:24I mean, I think they're jogging with the Bears.
07:29So, I got my money on the Niners.
07:31And I know they play the Bears as well, so that will help.
07:35So, you know, the Bears game and the Seattle game at the end of the year
07:40are going to be two huge games.
07:42What can the offense do differently when they get Brock Purdy back
07:46as far as, you know, different plays that they haven't been able to run
07:49with Mack Jones in there?
07:50I just think, you know, some of the penalties that we had a few illegal
07:56formations, a couple of false starts.
07:59I think Brock's going to be able to settle everything down
08:02and then, you know, being able to extend plays with his feet.
08:09I think Brock's going to go out there and ball for the rest of the season.
08:14John?
08:15John?
08:15We hear something.
08:16We hear kids, John.
08:18Shut up!
08:18Shut up!
08:19Yeah!
08:20Let's go!
08:22Hey, can we do story time with Mongo?
08:25I was thinking about this.
08:27Last night I'm watching Monday Night Football, and the Packers,
08:30Jalen Hurts fumbles, and the Packers and Eagles pile on this thing.
08:35Or maybe it was Jordan Love.
08:36It was one of the QB fumbles.
08:38Packers and Eagles pile on this thing.
08:40And there was a good minute and a half before the officials uncovered that thing
08:46and figured out who they wanted to give the ball to.
08:49I want to hear John Feliciano's funniest story about unspoken things that happened
08:57at the bottom of that pile going after a fumble.
09:00Yeah, I caught myself at the bottom of it one time on my back.
09:05So I had, I don't know, 1,200 pounds on my stomach, and I started to panic because I
09:12couldn't breathe.
09:12It was the worst freaking thing in my life.
09:15It was just, it's so, you know, people are freaking grabbing, pinching, grabbing freaking,
09:21if you get a real sicko, they're grabbing.
09:23You get Christian Wilkins, he's probably grabbing you somewhere you don't want to be grabbed.
09:26But, yeah, down there, it's, those and quarterback sneaks always get a little, those are probably
09:35the worst plays for the body.
09:38Yeah, it's got to be dicey.
09:39And so if you're down there with the football, you can't even really fight back, right?
09:43Did you ever get into a spot where you had to go down there and recover a fumble?
09:47I've tried my hardest.
09:49I've recovered a few fumbles in my life, but usually out in the open fields because I'm
09:53such an athlete.
09:54But, no, I haven't, yeah, if you're down there and you're just, you just got the ball
10:01and you're just, like, got to cradle up, but if you're, sometimes you're out there and
10:05you just have your hands on the ball, like, your fingers are getting pulled back, like,
10:09you're getting hit, like, it's, you know, it's pretty fun.
10:14John, did you ever participate?
10:16Have you ever grabbed somebody?
10:18Yeah, did you ever pinch or grab, do something that you're not supposed to do?
10:22I never did anything Christian Wilkins did.
10:26Okay.
10:27Well, then what was your go-to move?
10:29Yeah.
10:30I mean, I'll pull back fingers.
10:31I'll pinch you.
10:34I'm doing anything.
10:35Get off that ball.
10:36Pinch you where?
10:38Wherever.
10:39Your arm.
10:40Freaking put my foot on your neck.
10:43I don't know.
10:43We're getting that ball back.
10:45Yeah.
10:45And if you are the victim in one of these scenarios, you can't, like, say things like,
10:50ouch or stop it, right?
10:52There's got to be a certain code where, you know, you got to just kind of take the abuse,
10:56right?
10:57You're screaming a four-letter word.
11:00It starts with F.
11:00That's where you learned it.
11:02Ends with duck.
11:03Okay.
11:04Yeah.
11:07Shucks.
11:07Yeah.
11:08So, like, in other words, like, whoever recovers the fumble and then they're down by contact,
11:14like, that doesn't matter at all, does it?
11:17At all.
11:18You can, like, let the refs look at it on the instant replays crap.
11:23Like, you're fighting for that ball until the ref pulls you off.
11:27Did you ever recover a fumble that had actually been down for, like, a minute and a half when
11:31you then grabbed the ball?
11:34Not that I can remember.
11:35Okay.
11:36Okay.
11:36My best fumble recovery.
11:37Look it up.
11:38We were playing Bills at the Browns.
11:42I recovered it on the one.
11:43I thought I scored a touchdown.
11:46It was not a touchdown.
11:47It was down on the one.
11:49Then we went four and out.
11:50We didn't score.
11:51You have no touchdowns in your career?
11:54No.
11:55But I have two kickoff returns, average 15 yards.
11:59No big deal.
12:01Snatched them out there.
12:02How the hell did that happen?
12:04We had Cordell Patterson on the team.
12:06They didn't want to kick it to them.
12:07Oh, so they kick it to the up backs.
12:10They would squib it.
12:11And if that ball, I was not, let the ball go by you.
12:14Yeah, right.
12:15I'm going to snatch that thing.
12:1715?
12:17I mean, that's almost Skymore territory right now for the Niners.
12:20I mean, do they need a punt returner or kickoff returner?
12:25They just might.
12:26I'll catch it.
12:28AI says that you have two career fumble recoveries and six solo tackles.
12:35Yeah.
12:36Athlete.
12:39Yes, you are, John.
12:40Yes, you are.
12:41So, with that athleticism, go chase your kids.
12:45Thank you for coming on, man.
12:46All right, guys.
12:48All right.
12:48Thanks, John.
12:48See you next week.
12:49See you next week.
