00:05there are a lot of elements of this team that existed in the one that Wiggy led to a Super Bowl.

00:10However, the comp here in Boston for championship teams is the 2013 Red Sox, where you came off

00:20a disastrous single year from your head coach or manager, who was a punchline for the Red Sox.

00:26It was Bobby V for the Patriots. It was Gerard Mayo. And that year was after another year where an

00:32all-time great coach slash manager lost control of the team with the Patriots. It was a dysfunction

00:39and with the Red Sox, it was chicken and beer that led to 2013 where the Patriots, I'm sorry,

00:45where the Red Sox went out, not targeting the highest, best free agent people, but those that

00:53fit a system. So they bring in John Farrell, a guy that had worked in Boston, and they bring in

00:59Mike Napoli and Shane Victorino and David Ross and Koji Yuhara. And these players, they trade for

01:06Jake Peavy. They brought in character guys that elevated the play of the talented players here

01:12that hadn't reached their potential due to the chaos surrounding them. So I think if we're going

01:17to talk about, and that was also worst to first, the way the Patriots would be worst to first this

01:21year. So 2013 is a season that came out of absolute nowhere. The team rallied around the city

01:28after the horrific attacks of the Boston Marathon and won a World Series. This team is trying to

01:33replace the greatness of the Patriots after the demise of Gerard Mayo. So the 2013 Red Sox are the

01:40team that most closely resembles this in terms of championship season.

01:44Yeah, that's a good comp because there's no comparison to our 2001 team at all. There's

01:48no, the only comparison is, is that maybe at the beginning of the season, no one's expectations

01:53were high.

01:54That's really the entire comparison. I mean, that's a, that's why I was comparing it.

01:58Oh, okay. So, all right. Then, yeah, I guess if you want to say that no one had expectations,

02:02but I think, you know, through week 10 of where we are through week 10 and a one, we were five

02:09and five where the Patriots are sitting here at eight and two and everybody knows about

02:14this year, this team.
